Countdown to Infinite Crisis, six page preview
Kurt Angle Mark replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in Literature
I was checking the DC boards, and some say that Lord Luciphage might turn out to be an old JLA villain from the 70's Starbreaker Here is the Bio: "First Appearance: Justice League of America #96 (February 1972) An incredibly powerful "cosmic vampire" that feeds on entire planets. Starbreaker was driven away from the planet Rann by Adam Strange and the Justice League. After, he headed to Earth for revenge, but was defeated by the JLA and Sargon the Sorcerer, and subsequently imprisoned by the Guardians of the Universe. Years later, Starbreaker returned and destroyed the planet Almerac, but was once again was defeated by the Justice League." seems like a good possibility -

I'm certain that Luthor and Maxwell Lord will play big roles, but I don't think that either will be the main villain. If I were I betting man I say that the villain of Infinite Crisis was introduced in the current Adam Strange mini-series, issues #4 and 6 (for now). Lord Luciphage aka The Devourer aka The End Point He is one of those Cosmic Beings. He somehow was cast out and stripped of his power and was found by a Thanagarian woman soldier, who is now secretly helping him regain his power. However to get his power back he needs Adam Strange to find the planet Rann, which has disappeared(This is the plot of the mini-series). Anyway this will ultimately set up the Rann/Thanagar War. He says that once he gets his powers back "Not only will i be whole again, I shall be made...all" "And the Universe will end by my hand." -

WOW!! After reading Countdown and the article in Wizard (about the whole thing), I'm already pacing back and forth waiting for the next part in the story. It was announced in Wizard that the creative team for the 7 issue "Infinite Crisis" mini-series is going to be Geoff Johns and Phil Jimenez. It begins in October. According to the people involved in the project, Infinite Crisis is basically the worst day in the history of the DCU and how the heroes respond to it. Many heroes and villains will meet their demise. There might also be a connection to the original Crisis but Johns had a "no comment" to the question They mentioned nothing about the plot other than the fact that everything leading up to and during the mini-series will revolve around the Trinity (Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman) Booster Gold will also play a huge role according to Johns, and if you read Countdown you know why. But before that in JLA the league will have to deal with Batman. Johns, Aleen Heinberg(Young Avengers, O.C.) and Chris Batista will have a five issue run starting with issue #115. Batman will confront the League about the windwiping and not only will they have to deal with a pissed off Batman but an angry Martian Manhunter when that character finds out what happened. Also a mysterious figure is going around restoring the memories of the villains that were mindwipped by the League. The spark that starts Infinite Crisis will happen in one of the four mini series. Wouldn't mention which one. -

At the DC website they have the cover for Day of Vengeance and at the top it reads "6 months to Infinite Crisis" therefore it looks like the mini-series will be out in October. -

DC has also released the promotional ads for the four mini-series that will tie-in to Countdown. Love the summer blockbuster feel to them. The O.M.A.C. From Dave Meltzer After his performance on Tuesday against Kurt Angle, WWE has signed Marty Jannetty to a contract. It is not 100%, but he is expected to be on the Raw side and interact in some form with Shawn Michaels

My bracket is in shambles Lost a Final Four Team(Syracuse) Lost three elite eight teams(Gonzaga, Oklahoma) Lost five sweet sixteen teams(Wake Forest, Boston College)
-
I just hate them because of their RPI ranking, how they could be number 1 after sucking so hard at the end of the season. Also it didn't help that they were part of the most overrated bracket in the tournament, with them being the most overrated team.

24/32 Lost a Final Four team (Syracuse) and have 15 of 16 sweet sixteen teams left

More on Smackdown

I agree with the limit, however I would say that if someone reallly needs some money then players can still enter the draft at 18 and if they are selected they would play in the NBDL until their 20.

Yeah Meltzer said in WOL a few weeks back that the original plan was to switch Orton and Cena after they had won the belts at Wrestlemania. IMO the only thing they should do now is send Orton to Smackdown to feud with Cena
