Spike TV sent out a press release earlier today announcing they have closed negotiations with WWE regarding renewing their five-year contract. It is believed to now be a formality that WWE Raw and the rest of the weekend cable shows, Heat, Velocity and Experience, will be moving to the USA Network in September. "After several months of negotiations, we have decided to end our discussions about extending our relationship wiht WWE beyond September 2005," wrote Spike TV in a press release. "Moving forward, Spike TV will expand its investments in original programming and new acquisitions for its core audience." This is a huge blow to the network, as Raw was, by far, its most popular program and led to it be the No. 4 rated network when it came to the coveted 18-34 and 18-49 demographics.

DAMN IT TO HELL!!! My school Cal State Fullerton almost ended No. 17 Pacific's 19 game winning streak but came up just short. Down 2 they went for the win and missed a three with 20 seconds to play. Final score 92-88. Hopefully we will get another shot at them in the Big West Tournament. Just mad that I wasted all the money I had in my pocket today to buy more books before I realized that Fullerton was playing Pacific tonight.

Yeah he was the ONLY one that was made to look strong as champ, but unfortunately he doesn't have the charisma to carry the company. However more than the winning WWE needs to revolve their shows around a face and not a heel, which has not happened since HHH's reign of terror began.

Really???? That's funny because since WM 17 that is all the WWE faces have been doing and business has gone down the toilet. A face chases a heel, wins the belt and loses it the next PPV. IMO that is why nobody watches wrestling anymore, they don't have faith in any of the faces. Cena and Batista need to win the titles and hold them until at least Surivor Series while destroying everything in their path. That way when they do lose the belts fans will actually believe that they will someday win the belts back.

Here is Meltzer's take on the PPV No Way Out notes from Pittsburgh: *JBL vs. Big Show in a barbed wire match. Actually this is a regular cage match, and the barbed wire is only at the top of the cage. Still, we're looking at a likely double juice match to get over the stip. Obviously JBL is going to retain his title, unless they figure too many people can see that and they did a quick double switch (in the Russo days they would have done that, today I think it's far less likely). The blood is going to have to save it, because I doubt they'll go less than 15:00 in the main event slot, and with these two, and particularly Show, that isn't a wise idea. I just saw them live a few weeks ago and they can't do much with each other without gimmicking it up. Obviously Batista will play some part in this match. *Undertaker vs. Luther Reigns. Undertaker is headed into some sort of a big match at Mania. Reigns just seems to be a guy fed to him since they've got nobody else. Reigns cuts good promos, but on paper, this doesn't look good either. The fact it's in Pittsburgh, which has a rep for being the toughest crowd, won't help matters any *Kurt Angle vs. John Cena. Cena will win. Angle has been given a lot of time off. The Mysterio match in Japan shows that on days when he's asked to turn it on, Angle can still go with the best of them. But this isn't Mysterio here. Plus, while it is unlikely because Cena isn't a babyface people are apt to boo, it is still Angle's home town. It's very important for Cena to have a good match here, although maybe the FU finish alone is enough. I wouldn't be shocked to see Shawn Michaels involved here. *Bashams vs. Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio for the tag title. This should be the best wrestling on the show. The big story here is will Guerrero turn on Mysterio. That was the originally booked idea here. However, Guerrero's popularity has blown away everyone on both sides with the possible exception of Batista (and when they did house shows here a few weeks back, Guerrero was a league above Batista) and turning him is a highly questionable move. I don't mind the idea of Guerrero vs. Mysterio at Mania, and the fact is, babyface or heel, they aren't going to put Guerrero in the real upper echelon world title picture, so him elevating Mysterio to very near the top in a program and having great matches is hardly the worst alternative. Still, the last time they tried to turn Guerrero heel, it ironically made him take a step upwards in babyface popularity. *Funaki vs. Spike Dudley vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Shannon Moore vs. Paul London vs. Akio. These are all good workers and they'll probably have a good match. Just as likely, based on how much respect they are given, the crowd may not care *Booker T vs. John Heidenreich. This match hasn't been officially announced or confirmed, but it's the most likely match if they are going to add a late one. It was on the actual schedule as of yesterday, but it isn't like this show is in dire need of another bad match. There will also be a series of competitions with Lauren without a last name, Rochelle without a last name, Michelle McCool and Joy Giovanni for the Rookie Diva of the Year award. Let's hope it doesn't break down into a dodge ball game or a two-women's volleyball match, because McCool is a stud athlete and somebody is getting their head knocked off.

Couldn't agree with you more. That was the match of the year Now to the HHH/Austin match, I hated that match when I first saw it, so I doubt that if I saw it again that I would change my mind. IMO one of the most overrated matches ever.

The Cartoon Network originally agreed to have two seasons of "JLU" with 13 episodes a season. Now they have officially renewed it for a third. The confusion stems for the fact that some people consider JLU to be a continuation of "Justice League". Thus JLU season 1 is sometimes referred to as the 3rd season of Justice League. However it looks like the Cartoon Network is treating JLU as a completely separate show.

Dave Meltzer went to the premiere in Sacramento and this is what he had to say On the movie "Be Cool," The Rock, identified all night as simply The Rock and not Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, has a significant supporting role and from a comedy standpoint, was the highlight of the movie. I'd already heard feedback from Hollywood insiders saying this movie would earn him tremendous respect in the industry and break him out of the "wrestler" typecast. No question he more than held his own with real heavyweights of the industry. The vibe around him was no longer of the wrestling star doing movies, but as a major acting star who years ago was a popular pro wrestler. Movie was fun. Certainly a few steps above Rundown (which I liked) and Walking Tall.

Some good news to pass along. From Cartoon Network Justice League Unlimited has been given the greenlight for a third season of 13 episodes, for a total of 39 episodes. Justice League Unlimited: This season, Black Canary, Shayera, Vigilante, Vixen and The Question step up to face such villains as Lex Luthor, Felix Faust and Tobias Whale. And Superman takes on Cadmus in a battle that will determine the future of the league. Twenty-three new episodes will air in 2005.

Not much is know at this time, however the next issue of Wizard will cover the event in great detail. This is what Jim Lee had to say about the cover "Soooooooo I guess the image is out. Another thing Meltzer mentioned last night was that the original booking plan was to have John Cena and Randy Orton win the belts at Wrestlemania and then they would have been switched. He is not sure if they would do that now with Batista and Cena.

L.A. Lakers (1991-99) I used to worship the ground they walked on, but once they signed Shaq I gradually began to lose the passion I had for the team(Since I like underdogs, It's not as fun to root for the team when they got the most dominating guy in the league). Well once they got rid of Van Exel and Eddie Jones I became a Laker hater for life.

The magazine still has a price guide but it has been chopped down big time. Now only the current books get listed along with the more well known older stuff. If you want to check out obscure books or even a series that just ended a few years ago then it probably won't be in it.
