Whatever you want to call it, I'm just glad that Chavo can finally use the move again now that A-Train is gone. That was Chavo's finisher when he was stuck on jakked/velocity. Being a Chavo fan it really annoyed me when A-Train started using it.

The most shocking news in the history of WWE...
Kurt Angle Mark replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
Shane is the WORST McMahon. He personally ruined Kane's push. Come to think of it, maybe Shane isn't that bad, after all... If I told you that the Vince vs. Steph match was Shane's idea, would that change your mind? Vince said this on MSNBC. by the way. -
By Wade Keller of pwtorch.com Paul Heyman will remain with WWE despite quitting on the air last night. The current plan is for him to return as an on-air manager, although the details of his role has yet to be determined. His return to the air could eventually lead to him taking a group of wrestlers away from WWE and forming ECW as part of a storyline, but our sources say that is not in the plans right now. It has been talked about, but isn't written into definite storylines at this point. As a manager, though, he may end up managing wrestlers with an ECW history to at least plant the seeds for a potential split-off down the line.

This is great Now Angle can take time off from the ring, and if he is able to return Steph can come back and replace him. YAY!!! To HHH going back to Raw. And hopefully Teddy Long and Booker T will form an alliance.

First month of the brand split Draft got a 5.4 rating, then the next four shows got a 4.8
-
All four shows in April 2002 got a 4.8 rating, so that is a decent jump of at least .8 if the number is the same or higher.
-
Well in the heading it said "Suprise G.M." which suggest that Steph isn't going to be the G.M. for the moment.

Update: A-Train's bio has been put back on the Smackdown roster.
-
By Dave Meltzer After getting checked out by at least two doctors this week, Kurt Angle won't be undergoing neck surgery and it's at this point not a career threatening injury. This breathed a sigh of relief to a lot of people.

Had no problem with the draft. However for this draft to mean anything Edge and Benjamin have to receive really big pushes. For some reason I believe that HHH will be back on Raw, because his feud with HBK is still going on, and they gave us HHH/Eddie for no reason tonight thus hinting that HHH won't stay. I can see a Booker T for HHH trade happening.

Since it wasn't mentioned A-Train's profile is on the Raw roster and according to the Meltz, Booker T's profile was on Smackdown but taken down.

From igncube.com Say goodbye to WrestleMania and hello to WWE: Day of Reckoning. Publisher THQ and developer Yuke's have abandoned the old brand in favor of delivering GameCube owners an all-new take on the entertainment-sport of professional wrestling. Of course, this new endeavor, scheduled to ship exclusively for Nintendo's console this September, will still jump headfirst into the universe of the WWE, and will naturally feature both classic and new star power to play as and go up against. But you don't become a superstar in a single day and in Day of Reckoning you'll start from the very bottom. That's right. Welcome to the "minor leagues" of wrestling. This is where you'll begin your climb from zero to hero. You'll have to build your potential superstar from scratch. Luckily, the game incorporates a detailed and flexible create-a-superstar feature with a wide variety of customization options. Configure face types, hair types, body frame, clothing, accessories, tattoos and more and then give your wrestler an audience-grabbing name and a full set of moves. He's ready to go. Now it's time to pay your dues. Forget about going up against any wrestling legend just yet. First, it's amateur night. You'll fight every rookie jobber and wannabe out there, make a name for yourself and eventually advance to the next round, the big time -- where matches are filmed and aired on television by the WWE itself. If by some chance you manage to brawl your way to the very top and take hold of the Championship Belt, which is no easy task, you'll need to defend it again and again, so don't get too comfortable. WWE: Day of Reckoning revolves around a deeper, more balanced storyline than any of Yuke's previous GameCube outings. This has been one of the areas the Japan-based development studio went back and concentrated on. As such, you can expect surprising plot developments that lead right into electrified matches. You will make your way up in the world, from WWE Velocity & Heat to the real glitz and glamour of the big-time events. And you'll do it one match at a time, battling 40 of the WWE's top wrestlers in addition to a handful of thugs and no-talents. THQ is still mum on all of the wrestlers in the game -- the full roster should be available in a few days -- but we do know that pros John Cena, Randy Orton, Chris Benoit and Triple H will all be fully playable. Expect most of the hard hitters to be featured in the title, including a wide assortment of WWE Legends. Girls, Girls, Girls By now you've seen the screenshots in this preview and you know that Day of Reckoning proudly boasts a full selection of female superstars. The game sports a full-blown Bra & Panties mode -- a first on a Nintendo console. Here you can choose your favorite fighting diva and go toe-to-toe -- or breast-to-breast, as it were -- in a bitter cat-fight complete with spandex shirts and shorts that can be snapped right off of the loser. Grapple This The good news is that the control mechanics from previous WWE titles have not been dramatically changed. Yuke's has instead made improvements to the tried-and-true setup, developing a deeper and more dynamic grappling system than ever before, according to THQ. Strong and weak grapples are back, but the game also features an all-new submission system as well as realistic reversals and superstar finishers. In addition, Day of Reckoning utilizes a system by which you can target an opponent's specific body parts -- arms, legs, chest -- and wear him or her down by concentrating on those areas. On top of everything else, there's a new "superstar momentum shift" in which you can turn the tables on your opponent even after they have given you a good beat down and still come back to win the match. Technology WWE: Day of Reckoning is sure to be the prettiest wrestling entry for Nintendo's system yet. The shines with higher polygon models, significantly improved textures and real-time lighting and pyrotechnic effects. Collision detection issues in previous games have been addressed so that this time around wrestlers really look as if they are grabbing onto and fighting with one another. There are new cinematic camera angles that shoot the action as if it were being presented for television viewers. And there are subtle extras, like the new spandex cloth that the divas wear, which realistically stretches and slinks back into form. Here are some pics from the game.

I might have done so to, until I read that two of their players where arrested for drug possession on Saturday.

Heat matches Lance Storm defeated Ken Phoenix Rico defeated Steven Richards I don't know if Rico is having surgery or something, but Richards worked on his knee the whole match, and then after the match Richards attacked him ramming his knee into the post a couple times. He was helped to the back. The Hurricane and Rosie defeated Mark Jindrak and Garrison Cade They gave this match about 10-12 minutes, and it actually was pretty good. Jindrak and Cade have the basics down pretty well, it's just a matter of them finding a way to get over with the crowd. Finish was Hurricane climbing on top of Rosie's shoulders, and doing a splash on to Cade. Cade sold it like he was dead after the match, falling down twice on the ramp

A good indicator of how the WWE is doing, is what next week's show does. The first draft got a 5.4 rating compared to the 4.8 Raw got the previous week. So you would hope there is a big jump next week.
-
I'm not sure if it's disappointing or not. In one hand it is the day after WM so you except a nice increase However this is only the second time Raw has gotten a 4.0 since September 8th.
-
This is what Schere actually wrote "The latest word I am getting on Kurt Angle is that most people within the company expect that the numbness in his hands will mean that he needs to get surgery on his already once-repaired neck. He is scheduled to undergo tests this week. The general consensus in the company is that Angle will need neck surgery and it could even be career ending for him. According to a number of people that I have spoken with, Angle hasn’t been his usual happy-go-lucky self backstage recently and it’s possible that if he does need neck surgery, he may decide to retire and not risk further damage after he has it. Obviously, nothing is set in stone yet but the situation is very serious."
-
Well I'm not sure how I feel about doing the draft over. However all day, for whatever reason, I was thinking it would be cool to see John Cena feud with Christian and slutty Trish. And now it may be a possibility.
-
Whatever you think of his review, I got give the man credit for fixing all the mistakes the article had when first posted. It had Cena as a New Yorker Angle was spelled Angel said Hogan/Warrior was at WM 5

Well since I live in L.A., the announcement was my mark out moment of the night. Hopefully I will be able to get tickets.

(raises hand) Once I saw Benoit in tears I couldn't help myself. If I see someone cry or tear up it is really difficulf for me not to get teary eyed myself.
