Kurt Angle Mark

I have yet to see the Iron Man Match but after watching the first two Angle/Brock matches, I have this feeling that just like Austin/Jericho and HHH/Angle these two wrestlers just don't have that chemistry that would makes their matches seem extra special.

I just read a Smackdown report that said that John Cena cut a promo saying that he was going to win the U.S. title next week. So that might explain why they had Los Guerreros win the tag team titles.

Here is the complete report [email protected] Brock Lesnar won the Smackdown title tonight in Raleigh in the Iron Man match over Kurt Angle as was the original plan, despite his recent knee injury. The match went a legitimate 60:00 and was described as a strong candidate to place highly for match of the year. Lesnar was disqualified in 8:30 for a chair shot, but came back to win the next two falls quickly with an F-5 and via tap out with an ankle lock. Lesnar did an F-5 on the floor to win the fourth fall via count out, being up 3-1. Angle made it 3-2 with an Angle slam at 26:00. Lesnar scored a pin after a belt shot in 31:00. Lesnar went up 5-2 with a pin after a top rope superplex at 44:40. Angle won at 50:00 with a belly-to-belly superplex. Angle made it 5-4 at 55:10 with the ankle lock. Angle hit six german suplexes and used a heel hook at 59:30, but Lesnar survived until time ran out, winning the match. It was an excellent TV wrestling show, opening with Chris Benoit & Rey Mysterio over Tajiri & Rhyno when Mysterio pinned Rhyno after a 619 and springboard legdrop. Shaniqua won a handicap match over Torrie Wilson & Nidia very quickly. Chavo & Eddy Guerrero won the tag titles from Benjamin & Haas. They went the full 60 minutes despite Lesnar having suffered a knee injury (feared to be a serious ACL tear) over the weekend. Lesnar won five falls to four clean. Also, Eddie & Chavo Guerrero beat Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas to capture the WWE Tag Team Titles. In the match, Benjamin suffered an ankle injury that appeared to be potentially serious. Haas was also appeared to have suffered a head injury, perhaps a concussion.

Yes it was tough to make them bleed. I used the weapon because there was no other way I could bust them open. When the real wrestler came out(Bubba, Rikishi) it took me ten minute to make him bleed.

You have to build up your meter first, then you special taunt them (pressing A + B at the same time) Then you get them in the right situation and press A + B again and you perform your finisher. You can reverse finishers, as I was doing an Ironman match between Angle and Benoit, and Benoit escaped out of the Angle Slam. Basically sounds like what you had to do in No Mercy. When your meter blinked you had to do one last taunt to get into the "special" then you Strong Grappled and hit the analog stick. Exactly Also, you can counter the move by pressing L and R at the same time, of course you got to time it perfectly. You can also steal someone's finisher by pressing A, B, R and L all at once.

Actually for submissions the counter is automatic if the guy doesn't submit, For example the wrestler will roll out of the ankle lock if he doesn't give up, roll out of the crossface, power out of the Walls of Jericho etc.,etc.. I would just like to add that this is without question the most fun of any of the WWE games out there. I like the game engine more than the No Mercy one. There is no problem with the AI, I have played four way matches and not once did all three wrestlers go after me. The Royal Rumble in the game is without question the best of the bunch. The revenge mode is ok. It's just 25 mini games. Like throw these many guys of the ledge before time expires, don't let anyone get the briefcase, make all the guards bleed in the given time, and destroy the guy's car before he destroys your's. However some are pretty tough, it took me an hour to beat one of them.

Yeah I have the game and I did not know the song was in there. So when I picked Chavo and the theme started playing, it was a mark out moment.

Well for one week at least, we learned that good wrestling=ratings Smackdown went up against the NFL and the rating was above the season average, while Raw on the other hand got crushed.

The NFL football game on ABC drew an overall rating of 12.9. Last week's Smackdown was preempted in several markets and went up against the MTV Music Awards, which draws from Smackdown's prime demographic of male teens. In fact, this week's Smackdown increased 57 percent among male teens (3.0 last week, 4.7 this week), which spotlights the effect MTV had on last week's viewership. The only show to beat Smackdown this week among male 12-34 and all teens was NFL Football on ABC. The highest quarter hour last night was for Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle in Q5. It drew a 4.0 rating."

By Dave Scherer of 1wrestling.com As we have talked about all week, the talk around WWE is that Triple H will finally drop the World Title, to Bill Goldberg at Unforgiven (with, of course, the rumor being that he will get it back at the Survivor Series). Here is something that will throw a little more fuel on the fire. There will be a bachelor party for HHH after the 9/16 edition of Smackdown in Raleigh, NC. That is the last show before the Unforgiven PPV. Raw brand stars have been "invited" to stay on the road an extra day and attend the party. Smackdown wrestlers have been invited as well. For those asking why H doesn't just have it after Raw, my best guess is he wants everyone to attend. I expect anyone in the company with any common sense to attend the party because to blow it off would not be the best political move that someone could make. About the only person with a legitimate excuse to not come will be Chris Jericho, who will be excused for family reasons. HHH and Stephanie will get married in NY on October 25.

I just went to 1wrestling.com and the report said that they advertised UT vs. Brock, but nowhere in the report did it say that the match was for the WWE title.
