Yeah, more or less. I saw this on Sunday and there were some really good scenes. There were also scenes that made no sense to me whatsoever. It's the kind of movie where I would want a copy of the screenplay handed to me upon entering the theater just so I could keep up with who is who, who's aligned with who, how the stories intersect, and so on.

Elaborate, please. Random choice. Drug overdose or something else... Random choice indeed.

2 new people expected to debut at TNA tapings tonight
Mecha Mummy replied to Dangerous A's topic in TNA Wrestling
It'll be kind of weird to see Lethal get squashed by Joe mere weeks after he beat Joe in RoH. EDIT: And I'm guessing Homicide will just do a run-in or something since he was injured or something against Corino. I'd be interested to see how a Konnan/Homicide team worked out. -
The only MADtv alums I really like are Phil LaMarr and Nicole Sullivan, mostly because they're good voice actors. Everyone else I don't really care for, though Mo Collins was alright on Arrested Development. EDIT: It should be noted that Michael McDonald has, in fact, done ONE good thing in his entire career; he voiced Gandhi on Clone High.

Siaki would do fine in WWE as long as his gimmick isn't completely horrible. And TNA didn't really need him anyway, so it's not a big loss.
-
Jimmy Fallon is actually a pretty decent impressionist. I was always surprised that they didn't quite use him to his fullest potential in that respect.
-
I liked Siaki's Ace in the Hole gimmick in 2003 when it started and wasn't a COMPLETE parody of The Rock, but it got old after a month. Still, the terrible motivational speeches were fairly amusing. He's a decent heel and a decent wrestler but he's nothing overly great. I'm impressed that he's still with TNA, actually, since he's one of the few guys who's been there since the first show (along with like Jarrett, Styles, Truth, and perhaps a couple of others).
-
I like how on the Legends one he starts running out of insults and criticisms so we get things like "Ricky Steamboat, I can understand him being there... but with GREY HAIR looking like an OLD MAN? Un-be-fuckin'-lievable!"

Wait, Carlito has a finisher? Is it just the DDT or is there something else?

Of course, it was also bar none the most advertised show in Adult Swim history to boot. I saw billboards for it on busses and when I was in NYC there were ads everywhere too. That being said, it deserved the hype because it was really good. -
Was Michaels wearing his leather chaps whilst saying that? Because that would be hysterical.

Both Jonathan Coachman and Joey Styles mentioned Dunn by name in the CoachCast thingie this week, so it's not like that's unchartered territory.

Come up with real songs for TNA wrestlers to use
Mecha Mummy replied to Masked Man of Mystery's topic in TNA Wrestling
Well, the same can be said of AJ Styles' music, ESPECIALLY when he was a heel and the lyrics were still about showing respect for the other guy and so on. -
You mean Spanky/Brian Kendrick as the guy who teamed with London, right? Since Spanky usually teams with London and Kazarian quit, like, months ago.

But that's the worst possible thing they could do for him. Talking is his strong point. In the ring he's totally exposed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No he isn't. He just hasn't had a chance to show what he could do in the ring because the WWE doesn't allow people with talent to show skills. If they can talk, then they continue to let them talk and the wrestling becomes secondary and that shouldn't be the case with Carlito. He was twice the wrestler in OVW than he is in the WWE but hasn't been given the time to show it at all because Stephanie has a hard on for people that can talk. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What about the 10+ minute matches he repeatedly had with Shelton Benjamin of all people that were STILL completely sub-par? It was the '00 Rumble and I cracked up at that one.
-
No, he can't. Coach replacing JR has completely exposed how horrible Lawler has become. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You apparently did not watch Taboo Tuesday. Lawler put on one of his best performances in years with Styles to carry him along. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> One great night versus five shitty years. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> One great night that was, coincidentally, with Joey Styles. I think it's worth seeing if Lawler can remain on that level with Styles as his partner instead of JR or Coach.

Kobashi/Taue was my favorite Kobashi GHC title defense. And the fans seem to adore him, so hey. I'm glad he finally won the big one (again).

That sounds like the fake results that were posted and were always stated as being fake on the RoH board. I thought they were legit too until I read the posts under them/the part where the attendance was listed as 40,000.

I'm a Mario RPG kind of guy myself, with SNES Mario Kart coming in a close, close second.
