I can't watch this. They're on the verge of getting swept by the Washington Nationals.
-
And 6-2 suddenly turns into 6-5 with nobody out. The pitching is atrocious. Just atrocious. The last 5 games against the Nationals, the bullpen has an ERA of 7+ while the starting pitching has had an ERA of OVER 10. Horrific.
-
Oh my God, the Mets can't seem to hold onto a lead. Not even against the Nationals. This is turning into a nightmare.

NoCalMike makes Czech feel good.

You forgot to mention how I light up your life.
-
Yeah, that's another mind-boggler. Especially since Delgado was so cold tonight as it was.
-
Let's not forget Lo Duca swinging right at the first pitch and popping it up to end the game. If you have a rally going, you DON'T need to swing at the first ball. Wouldn't it be more wise to, oh I don't know, feel out the pitcher when you could be the potential winning run?
-
Shit, that was so exciting too. What a comeback that could have been.
-
And now the weak effort of the Mets bullpen tonight comes back to bite them as it was inevitably going to do. At least Reyes had a good hitting night.
-
Same. They could limp into the playoffs at this point for all I care.

We said this last year. Wasn't true then.

Ripper has sour grapes about Rainbow Six Vegas

Well, I'm watching the Mets basically getting crushed by the Nationals for the second straight night. A lot of things aren't making sense.

So does this mean Milton Bradley's going to need an

I just read somewhere that today was the last day for the Buy 2, Get 1 Free sale. Is that true? If it is.....that wouldn't be good, considering I just found about it by reading PK's post five minutes ago.

This one might be my personal favorite of the lot. It saddens me a little though. I loved that Austin/RVD feud at the time they were doing it. That might have even made RVD's career in WWE if they would have followed through with that feud and ended it with the right blowoff. Unfortunately, they botched something that could have been so hot.

My Playstation 3 has been amazing too, now that you asked me.

Oh no, Ripper, you see, I know what the expression means. When I used it the first time, it was not in a serious context. Surely, you did not actually care whether or not I sold the Xbox 360. You had no vested interest in my goal. So it would not make you angry or bitter that I sold it despite you thinking it will eventually die out. No, my friend, you would not have "sour grapes" about it. So when I said it the first time, it was in a sarcastic manner. Once you had your annoyed reaction to it the first time, I said "You know what I'll do? Now that I sold it, I'll mention Ripper having sour grapes about it again." And there you were, annoyed that I clearly don't know the definition of the phrase and had the gall to use it in a misplaced manner again. Alas, I do, and the expression was never meant to be taken seriously. Sorry buddy. I think it would be a mistake on your part if you and I were to engage in a battle of wits. For someone who thinks he's superior to the majority of the board, he has a lot to learn.

SOLD! For $300 too. And now, Ripper can have a second helping of his sour grapes.

One of Schoenweis's finest outings that I can remember. Three nice strikeouts and a groundout for a must-win. Magic number down to 8.

I would be ashamed of myself if I stood in a McDonalds restaurant, yelled at the top of my lungs, argued with the register person, argued with the manager, and cursed at both of them...because they were charging me 20 cents to add lettuce and tomato on my Egg McMuffin. Really. I'd be ashamed. I'd wonder exactly what caused me to take such a wrong turn in my life that I would throw an absolute hissy fit over 20 cents. I don't even know if ashamed is a strong enough word. Mortified, perhaps. Oh, and besides that, I used to work in a McDonalds. Technically, you are supposed to charge extra for anything that a customer wants on their sandwich that is not supposed to come on it. You are also supposed to charge for dipping sauces if the customer did not purchase Nuggets or Chicken Strips. That led to a nice amount of arguments in my store. Because the other McDonalds restaurants you had went to didn't do this meant they either didn't follow the policy or the register person just didn't want to be bothered with potentially arguing about it. But yeah, that is the McDonalds policy -- at least in the Metro NYC area, it is.

And this is starting to feel like last night all over again.

"But this is the finest bullpen money can buy. ERA in negative numbers. Blah blah blah"
-
Oh how I wish they didn't restart the Mets/Marlins game tonight forcing me to watch Mota attempting to preserve a four run lead.

Okay, these two reasons are actually valid. 246. People make unfunny comments...such as Rando...and then the poster right after them is compelled to write "OMG Post of the Year!" or "It's official! You win the thread!". No. The comment really wasn't funny. In fact, it was rather lame and cliched. Sorry to be the one to break the news. 247. Case in point, somebody go look at that OAO SummerSlam thread and read the first two or three pages where everybody decides to talk in Ye Olde English as a Booker T tribute. I've never seen anything more painful.
