Well, that's a matter of opinion. It seemed to me the Bush Double bit got more laughs primarily because people thought it was funny AND it wasn't as controversial as Colbert's piece. When you're in a room filled with pretentious media types that don't exactly like to poke fun at themselves -- besides Helen Thomas, of course -- controversial jokes aren't exactly going to light up the room with laughter. It just made the people there, who were sitting right before President Bush, feel uncomfortable. We can't discount the factor of Bush's participation either when determining why it got the laughs it did. If Colbert had done this same bit on The Colbert Report or The Daily Show, I think it would have killed.

I understand there may be reasons that get in the way, but this has become a common trend that happens every single month now. It was never this way before. While there may have been an occasional show or two that were delayed, for the most part, we were able to get the PPV up at a reasonable time sometime on Sunday night for people to read. Now it never seems to happen. The show goes up late. People don't get a chance to read it. They become too preoccupied with their HeldDown stuff. The show doesn't get feedback. Big, fat waste of time for everybody. As I've said several times before, it's not fair for those of us that do get our matches in on time to have wait so long to see the card actually get posted. I mean, just look at 2006 so far: Living Anglelously -- it's Monday afternoon. Has not been posted yet. AngleMania V -- Wasn't posted until Monday evening. Zero Hour -- Posted very late Sunday night/early Monday morning Anglepalooza -- Posted very very late Sunday night/early Monday morning What happened to getting the show posted before a WWE PPV finishes on Sunday night? It's possible! I've seen it happen many times before. Believe me. If anybody understands tight workloads, it's me. But this is a trend that does need to stop because it's hurting the cards and the interest people have in them. Plan ahead of time. If you know for weeks what your PPV match is going to be, why not start writing it early instead of waiting for the day it's due? Many times, I don't begin writing until Sunday morning for my PPV match, but that's because I know I can get it on time without a problem. It seems others can't really do the same, so it's silly to try and wind up crashing and burning. Do it ahead of time and the issue is solved. This gets around the school assignment or time zone situations. Computer problems? Family emergencies? Illness? All problems, agreed. But these are problems that should affect writing only once in a while. From the looks of it, either these issues are happening every month or some are simply just getting lax with trying to get their stuff in before the deadline.

Let's just wait until the end of May. Then we can replace all the "Living Anglelously" references with "School's Out" ones and make THIS show the May PPV card.

They've been doing very well lately, and it seems Christian/Bohemoth are way too confrontational with one another right now to win any Tag Titles. The Love Doctors are being brought back to drop the titles and sink back into obscurity. X-Division Four-Way Dance Dance Dragon vs. El Hipérbole de Internet (formerly Sean Bryant) vs. "Het Ironische Wonder" Alex Bryant vs. El Claraboya (formerly Nate Tethers) I'm going to guess Dance Dance Dragon because that's the only guy in this match I can really distinguish from the other three. Zack Malibu, ???, and ??? will win because it's way too anti-climactic to have two new guys debut in a match and have them immediately lose. He's trying harder and harder to surpass his history-making WDW Title reign. That's easier said than done though.

It seems if they DID go through with the Flair plan -- which I personally don't think will happen. It was speculation from Meltzer and nothing more -- it wouldn't be in the cards for Van Dam to win the title. RVD/Flair certainly doesn't sound like a match they would use to headline Vengeance when they have HHH/Flair and Cena/Flair available. And if Flair did go over, it wouldn't make him look any more impressive for beating a guy that, at that point, would have held the belt for about two weeks. If they run with Flair in the Main Event at Vengeance, they won't have Van Dam win the belt. Or vice-versa. If Van Dam wins the belt at One Night Stand, he won't fight Flair at Vengeance. No matter which way you look at the match, it would not work out logically.

Yeah, it didn't seem derogatory towards Trish at all. She knows what she's doing in the ring and she probably has a fair amount of pull with the creative team as the main woman's wrestler, so she'll make sure you get 15 minutes with her in the ring. And I'm not crying over the Right-to-Censor gimmick being dropped either.

Well, I'm shocked that Meltzer is advocating Flair fighting for the title at Vengeance -- not just fighting for the belt but WINNING it. I don't care if the PPV is in Charlotte. Flair wrestling for the title and winning it in the Main Event is counterproductive and senseless. I don't see how they would ever expect to get this ECW brand off the ground as something worth watching if Van Dam doesn't win the Heavyweight title at One Night Stand. To think of having Cena walk into One Night Stand as the champion and retain...they're treading on thin ice in really alienating a good percentage of their fan base.
