Nice! I may win an award after all, huh?

Bret/Austin, Angle/Guerrero/Benoit/Edge, Benoit/Sullivan and even the Taker/Hardy Ladder match are all worth paying the money this month. Of course, I'm not, but I could understand those who are.

If that rumor's true, that's just an awful trade for the Mets. I'm not a huge Benson fan, but he's certainly much more of a reliable pitcher than Julio, who had an ERA of 5.90 last season. I understand they need bullpen pitchers, but with their rotation as weathered as it is, they can't be giving up these starters who still have years ahead of them. And besides, it's fucking Jorge Julio anyway. The guy sucks.

I'm not usually one to whine about how offensive WWE storylines are, but wow. They may have crossed a line with using Eddie's car to fake-kill the Undertaker again.
-
Now I've seen some stupid show endings before.....
-
Yeah, I've only been watching the last three minutes, and all these "Do it for Eddie Guerrero!" references have been pretty uncomfortable so far. I hope they don't continue with this past tonight.

Yes. We get it. You don't think Mysterio should win. Move on.

As much as I'll miss Piss, I'm much more depressed about TJH deciding to leave TSM. He brought such life to this place.

I always like it when UTSU criticizes people for wasting their time and not having a life, then shuffles off to update the win-loss record of every single WWE wrestler. -
When I was a dog, my dog swallowed my dad's wedding Ringdy Orton. It was awesome.
-
At least they pushed the episodes up until March. Maybe we'll get them even sooner. But man, talk about a cliffhanger.
-
Oh man, this is getting catty. And Burnitz was decent in his last season with the Mets. He was actually one of the stronger offensive players on the team before they got rid of him. Get it right.

Finally won GM Mode and, as addicting as it was, I have a feeling it's a mode I'm never going to venture into again.

OMG ITS PIMPSKY!!!!

They were carried by two big old question marks in Pedro and Glavine. Pedro: 2.82 ERA Glavine: 3.53 ERA Of course, then there are those pitchers who haven't been able to carry much at all. Benson: 4.13 ERA Zambrano: 4.17 ERA Seo and Heilman looked decent last season, but they haven't looked like pitchers who can stay strong in the rotation the entire year. Both of them have looked weak after having several starts. The Mets can not rely on the idea that Pedro will be as effective as he was last season, considering he started to falter and lose his superhero status in Boston before he was traded. And although Glavine may have gotten used to the Questec system, at his age, he's one injury away from an abrupt retirement. It would be silly to place any playoff hopes on just these two pitchers. Again, Zambrano is terrible in the clutch. Benson is just underwhelming on the mound. Trachsel is a formidable pitcher who should not be given up -- along with a fine player in Beltran -- for another power hitter who may or may not find success on the Mets. People forget just how the Mets have done in recent years in acquiring these big bats.

The Mets are not a team that can afford to give up a reliable #3 starter -- especially a guy that could be the most reliable pitcher on the team this season. Their rotation is not strong, and it will turn out noticeably weaker if they trade Trachsel. If they can slip a different pitcher into the deal besides the top 3 of the rotation -- perhaps Heilman or Benson instead, who have both showed good signs at times -- I would be all for it. Otherwise, they can't start sacrificing reliable pitching for good hitting.

I just stumbled on this news item. Manny for Beltran and Trachsel would be a terrible trade. In a rotation that looks formidable but not strong, Trachsel plays a part as a valuable #3 starter. They cannot afford to be giving up starting pitchers at this point if they're hoping to make it far this season. Seo has been shaky in his MLB starts, showing off both brilliant starts and terrible ones. Zambrano is just awful. Benson has been underwhelming. Pedro and Glavine both did well last season, but of course, they're getting on in age. In no way should the Mets look to trade someone like Trachsel at this point. If it was a straight-up Beltran for Manny trade, I could see the value in that. Beltran looked weak last season, and that could partly have to do with the uneasiness of playing in New York. Manny has already proven he could play in a big city like Boston, so the move might not have much of an effect on him. While I do think Beltran will be more comfortable in New York this season, I could see the merits of trading him for Manny. But considering the Sox are looking to get rid of Manny so badly, I think the Mets could get away with keeping Trachsel out of the deal -- as they should.

Okay guys. If you want this to continue, take it to the College Football thread.

Dama, just remember not to take the price tag off your brand new Texas cap. Otherwise you won't be able to return it afterwards.
-
Hmm. I guess you were going for that.
-
I don't know. I wouldn't want to disrupt all that classic banter between Mike and Marney....
-
Oh okay. I stand corrected.
-
Nah. Choken was awesome now.
-
Oh okay. I stand corrected.

Agreed, but it was obvious Choken hadn't changed, so that banning is fine with me.
