Is this Douglas reunion show actually going to get a TV feed? Or is it just going to be one of those arena shows that all of us wind up hearing about second-hand? If it's the latter, I fail to see just how awesome this Douglas idea is. It has now turned into stroking his own ego, rather than providing the best alternative for the ECW fans.

Yeah. They ruined that match for themselves by shoving Kane in there.

Besides Stephanie McMahon, you know, one day being co-owner of the company and all. 1999-2001 Stephanie was gorgeous. If she still had that body, I have no doubt she would sell more issues than Trish. But she's bulked up since then. Her face has grown out of proportion a little, and she isn't in nearly as good shape as she once was. The factor that her marriage has been made so public cannot also not be overlooked. Some are a little turned off at the idea of looking at naked pictures of a married woman. There is no possibility of them ever actually having a chance with this woman now, so why bother paying money to look at pictures of her? As unrealistic as it would be, some would take more consolation in the fact that Trish Stratus isn't married yet. And, if she's seeing someone, it hasn't be shoved into the public's face like the HHH/Stephanie relationship. Trish always remains a possibility, which would make her a little more appealing. In 2005, I think Trish would sell more issues. Steph's figure doesn't even compare to Trish anymore, and Trish has that feature of availability that Steph doesn't have anymore. But I don't know if this would have been the case a few years ago.

Not sure if I did this right, but I wanted to try and contribute: Shawn Michaels Return Video This was the HBK highlight video WWE played right before he made his in-ring return in 2002.

Right. As if making $6.25 has a huge difference over making $6.00. Minimum wage jobs do not give you a high raise, if they give you one at all. The corporations could be rather cheap when it comes to that aspect. In that case, it's up the government to supervise the standard-of-living for Americans. Having to work a job without even getting the opportunity to support yourself on it fails the standard-of-living test. Again, earning a few cents over minimum wage is not going to have an effect on anything. I hope you're not saying, though, that there are no instances where anyone with even the tiniest level of competence would have to work a minimum-wage LEVEL job. Because then that would just be wrong. Sometimes you don't have the option of not being able to live off it. But if need be, you SHOULD be able to. Umm....okay. There you go. Screw the kids! Forget the mother or the father that actually PUTS in the effort to support the family. Just simply put up the kid for adoption. That's definitely the more humane option in the end. Congratulations. You solved that issue. So wait, let me get this straight. Because prices will go up and people won't be able to afford it...we shouldn't try to make changes at all? We should just keep the ineffective wages where they are? Keep the entire situation stagnant because, hell, it's only going to get worse eventually anyway? Please. And I'm not so much disgruntled as I understand the situation these people have to face. I've worked a minimum wage job before, but I haven't needed to live off it. I did work with people though who did. People with a fine work ethic, but people that found themselves backed into the situation at the present moment without another real alternative. People don't live off a minimum wage job because they CHOOSE to. If you ever want to spend time with your kids, it pretty much can't. And what happens to the plight of single parents then? Or are they just disregarded here too? Sure. Pluck out the average office person and demand they dig holes for 8 hours a day, 5 hours a week. They'll pass out within the first few hours. I'm not saying the people deserve to make more than minimum wage. I'm saying the minimum wage needs to be raised as a whole. People simply should be able to live financially off a job. Regardless if you find it respectable and skillful or not. The idea that many of them can't is still a huge problem, despite the fact that you say it's not. Being ignorant of something has never stopped you before.
-
You don't PLAN on working a minimum wage job for the majority of your life. Sometimes you get forced into it. Life doesn't always go the way you want. The minimum wage jobs may be there as a last resort. Either way, you SHOULD be able to live off a minimum wage job if you need to. Not too comfortably, of course, but it is not unreasonable to expect that you might be able to pay your rent with an entire month's salary. And if you find yourself being forced to suddenly raise a family, holding two jobs isn't necessarily a valid option. EDIT: Mike, you are absolutely hopeless. For someone that thinks I'M trying to intentionally miss the point, you're looking pretty foolish yourself. Let me repeat this for you ONE more time. Perhaps ANYBODY could dig holes for five minutes. NOT ANYBODY could dig holes for eight hours, five days a week. Everytime you say they can, I find myself thinking more and more that you are simply ignorant of anyone not in your financial class.
-
Shoving holes for 5 minutes is a job anybody could do. Shoving holes for eight hours a day, five days a week -- that's a job that requires much strength, much endurance, and an impressive work ethic. One that, I'm sure, isn't present in a noticeable percentage of Americans. Not ANYBODY can do hard manual labor, and the fact that you would even suggest so is just absurd. To imply that they can IS to imply that it is "easy work." I said it once. I'll say it again. I highly doubt if you spent an entire day digging holes that you would sit here and say "ANYBODY" could do manual labor. Just because a certain job doesn't require skillful training beforehand doesn't mean anybody can do it. You're really sounding quite ridiculous here. If someone is living in New York City, and working a 40-hour week doesn't even grant them enough money for a one-bedroom apartment, then there is a major problem in the system. In a way, these people are hardly doing any better than the unemployed....yet they are still working a full day's shift.
-
I also just love the idea that Mike thinks anybody could dig holes. Personally, I have a great interest in seeing Mike spend an entire day's worth digging holes, then see if he still has his opinion of it being rather easy work.
-
Don't forget to take out taxes. Working minimum wage won't be enough to even pay for rent in New York City. Forget actually having anything else. How could it even be argued that the minimum wage is just fine where it is?
-
Let's just put this in simple terms: If someone can't live their life on working a 40-hour week with minimum wage, then the minimum wage just isn't high enough. I'm not suggesting they should live a life of luxury -- but if they can't pay their rent, pay for the food bill, electric bill, water bill, gas bill, and still have a few dollars of spending money -- then the wage just isn't simply enough. If someone puts in a 40-hour typical work week effort for a job, regardless of whether or not YOU think the job is respectable, they need to have the funds to live on their own. Clearly, many of these people do not. Thus, the minimum wage needs to be raised.

Don't feel bad, KC. Patty not only didn't give me feedback on my segments, but he ALSO said that he wants to see Crystal as champion too. Double hurt, bro. And I thought we were tight.

Matt Hardy speaks on he and Lita splitting
NYU replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
And when they do, people get fired for it. In many offices and workplaces around the world, relationships between company employees are simply not allowed. Because they can lead to a messed-up situation like this. Considering Edge has just put the company in a difficult position regarding the roster division between Matt, Lita, and Edge -- not to mention violated an aspect of trust in the locker room -- he definitely needs to face some kind of punishment. I would say a depushing is in order. What is with the unbelievably awful comparisons in this thread? And I think this has been gone over already anyway. Well, now Matt and Lita can't be on the same show either. And the relationship between Edge and Lita should also be discouraged. So how exactly does WWE solve this situation now? The matter isn't as simple as "Put Matt and Edge on different shows". -

How so? I haven't really heard any stories about Shawn Michaels cheating on his wife. -

Yet again. It is one thing to cheat on your wife/girlfriend. It is an entirely DIFFERENT thing to cheat on your wife/girlfriend with a coworker that is currently dating one of your best friends. Some of the comparisons people are making here don't even make sense. -

Edge has now put the company in a difficult position. They clearly can't have Matt Hardy and Lita on the same show anymore -- but then again, they can't really have Edge or Matt on the same show either. And the last thing they want is for Edge and Lita to keep shacking up too. How exactly are they supposed to find the solution to this? Couple that with the chemistry in the back right now. I doubt anyone would have really cared if it turned out Edge cheated on his wife. Yes, it would be regarded as a shady thing to do, but it would cross more into the field of being solely Edge's business. But now you have to consider the fact that he was banging a coworker's girlfriend -- while the coworker was injured -- and this coworker is supposed to be one of Edge's best friends in the back. Now everyone has to deal with a trust issue. How do they know, if Edge wound up falling for their girlfriend/fiancee/wife, that he wouldn't try doing the same thing to them? How do they know they can truly trust the guy anymore? He's really created a tough situation. Obviously, the company shouldn't fire him for it. But I'd say a depush is suitable, simply to punish such blatant stupidity and disregard. He can't be allowed to cause such personal trouble for others and still be rewarded with a Main Event push. It really sets a bad precedent for the locker room. To be quite honest, Edge should be happy right now that's he still getting prime TV time, even if he's being forced to job. If this kind of thing was happening in the real world, in an office or somewhere else, he might have been fired already. -

It's one thing to cheat on your wife. It's another thing to cheat on your wife with the girlfriend of someone supposed to be a very good friend. If Edge really did do something like this, how are people supposed to trust him anymore? It's clear the guy has no loyalty. -
No one's posted here in a while. This can't continue if we're going to stay on the straight and narrow path of beating Zack's thread.

But now you've lost all interest you once had. You basically put yourself into a lose-lose situaton.
-
I don't see the problem in having three weeks to hype up the PPV, as opposed to four. I don't think it would make THAT much of a difference, to be honest. Just make sure to have your Living Anglelously opponent ready before AngleMania ends, and you could start hyping up that feud with the first April HeldDown. If you need to, cram three or four segments on a show to hype up your stuff rather than one or two. If we move the show to May, we potentially throw off the flow of the entire PPV schedule. I say moving AngleMania IV is basically a necessity -- at least, for me, it is -- but Living Anglelously should stay where it is.
-
Quik's a lost cause now. I remember he was entertaining one week. Although I'm not sure exactly which week that was.
-
I still say the show should be on April 3rd. Much easier than actually holding the show on Easter Sunday, where some matches are guaranteed to be late anyway. As for the little-rings, I have a novel idea: Use them for your match if you want to. OR Don't use them for your match if you wish not to. It's not like the difference between some guys using the little-rings and some guys not using them is going to completely throw off the flow of the entire PPV.

I think that was the British Bulldog, and it was an episode of Smackdown.

When you're as miserable as Axel is supposed to be, sometimes you just simply can't get violent. You don't have the fighting streak in you. And considering the way Drek was going over Axel's history and really degrading him, coupled with Axel's depression already, he was just simply speechless. Man, why I always gotta be explaining my segments to you? Feedback later. I'm good for it!
