The last thing I would want to do in this thread dedicated to myself is brag BUT..... I have to say that the Elimination Chamber that took place at Thanksgiving Star Wars was MUCH better than the WWE Elimination Chamber match that happened tonight. I mean, they don't even compare. German suplex into the glass chamber Gorilla press off the top rope onto the mat Suplerplex onto the steel grating Moonsault into the cage wall Slyledriver onto the glass shards from the chamber VS. Ten different slingshots into the chain wall Plus, of course, the TSW final result was much better as well. But that goes without saying.

Jets are going to be able to get past the Steelers. Colts will beat the Patriots - the loss of Ty Law will prove to be a little too much against Indianapolis. Eagles will beat the Vikings by double digits Rams will go over the Falcons

Honestly, I don't see them going with HHH/Orton for Mania anymore. Even WWE has to realize they've run the match a little too far to expect a decent buyrate. Looking through history, the title match at WrestleMania has never really been one that was repeated constantly through the months before. Perhaps Triple H and Michaels last year was the exception to the rule, but Benoit was in there to give the match a fresh dimension. Seeing that they've done HHH/Orton at Unforgiven, HHH/Orton final showdown at Survivor Series, HHH/Orton on Raw last week, and the HHH/Orton final showdown tonight, I really do not feel they are going to set that match at WrestleMania. I'm pretty certain, at this point, they've decided to rely on the momentum this Batista/HHH tension has had, and will schedule that as the title match at WrestleMania -- with a chance of throwing Orton in there for a Triple Threat. It's going to be Triple H vs. Randy Orton for the Heavyweight Title at the Royal Rumble, which will likely be the blowoff for their feud. Triple H vs. Batista at WrestleMania. They have to know, at this point, HHH/Orton will not fly as the Main Event at Mania. Especially after the boos with Orton eliminating Batista tonight, and the cheers with HHH pedigreeing Orton minutes later.

By the way, how many slingshots can they pull off in one match? There IS more than one way to throw a guy into the chain wall. Either way, despite the fact that the undercard was absolutely terrible, I have to give credit to Maven for a brilliant mic performance in his match. Say what you want, but he was able to hold that crowd in the palm of his hand. This cocky heel thing really should work out well for him. He really just needs to learn how to work a better match, which is going to come to him in time, but I definitely saw glimmers of Rock-like micwork tonight.

They made this same mistake last time, with pushing Goldberg as the huge monster, getting people to actually go crazy for him, then deciding to take it all away at the end. Same story, all over again, only with Batista tonight. The match itself was pretty good - I would have liked to see someone actually go through a glass chamber - but the booking was awful. You don't center a MAJOR part of the Chamber around the inevitable Batista/HHH confrontation, then never have it at all. Terrible.

Amazing game. Doesn't change the fact that Barton deserves to be shot, but......wow.

Christ.....really now. If you're a professional football player in the NFL, you NEED to make that catch. You can't let something like that just bounce off your hands. Hasselbeck did impress me near the end however. Either way, I thought this game really picked up in the second half. It certainly wasn't a classic, but I wouldn't even go as far as to say it was terrible.....

Well, that article doesn't really say anything. To summarize: The Mets and the Astros are both in contention to sign Carlos Beltran. The Astros have to do it by Midnight, Saturday. A baseball official from neither the Mets nor the Astros believes Beltran will sign with Houston. Boras is surprised the Yankees haven't offered much yet. Basically, this is everything we knew a week ago. I'm not saying I don't think Beltran will sign with Houston - to be honest, that's been my opinion since the beginning of the offseason - but that article does absolutely nothing to prove such a thing. Just wait until the contract signing is official.

^ The man makes a good point. Despite the talent Clemens might have, I just cannot root for more success for someone that is so clearly an asshole. I don't think it's even a matter of IF Fat Rodge will resign with the Astros, but when. Beltran resigning with the Astros would only help Clemens, so it is my job to root against such a signing. Plus, of course, I'm a Mets fan and all. But that's besides the point.

No, no. The best choice would be the Mets. Any team that may help Fat Rodge back into the playoffs again is a team I'm not willing to cheer for. Beltran needs to come to the big city.
