WTF. Dames is back. Did he ever leave?
-
but Hulk isnt a regular word. People dont say "Man, Kobe hulked up", they say he got big. At least I dont think its a regular word.
-
Can he even do that? Isnt there a movie called The Rock? I could see if it was a Hulk Hogan situation, but Sharkboy? Come on, hes acting like a rapper now.
-
WinAVI is pretty fast. EOVideo is good and it isnt a resource hog like TMPEGEnc is.

Im watching Royal Rumble 99 and Cole is boring, but hilarious. X-Pac and Gangrel are fighting and he goes "At 210 pounds X-Pac has a huge heart.......Big kick from X-Pac, martial arts expert". It sounds like a video game, Smackdown or Wrestlemania 21 or something. Does he still sound like this on Smackdown? (I hope not)

Kevin Kelly completely defined the word, "tangent," this past Wednesday during the Voice of Wrestling preview show with Chris Cash and Big Mike. Kelly will be one of four individuals, along with Dr. Tom Prichard, Bill Behrens, and new TNA booker, Terry Taylor, to participate in the "Weekly Insider" segment on the Voice of Wrestling. Each week, one "insider" will join Chris and Mike to give an insider's point of view on current hot-topics in the world of professional wrestling. Prichard, Behrens, Taylor, and Kevin Kelly will all be joining the debut edition of V-O-W tonight to introduce the segment. That means you'll have another chance to hear Kevin Kelly live tonight on the renewed Voice of Wrestling radio show, live from 6:00-9:00 EST! VISIT VOICEOFWRESTLING.COM TO LISTEN LIVE TONIGHT "Kevin Kelly Uncensored" starts now.... Chris Cash started the conversation with a general question, How important are mic skills? Big Mike (new co-host) mentioned the ratings of the past Raw (a 3.6 with hours of 3.3 and 3.8) as an indication of the importantance of mic skills. He said when it came to talking, Lita left a lot to be desired. Kevin agreed claiming she only had one skill - "her ability to pleasure men away from the ring". Kevin Kelly Uncensored 1: "Lita stinks, she has no talent, and she has no ability at all." Chris Benoit was mentioned in regards to his skill on the microphone, or lack there of, and Chris Cash asked Kevin whether this was the reason he was being held back in the WWE. After distinguishing the difference between "being held back" and "being limited", Kelly explained Chris Benoit's situation, according to him. "Chris Benoit is never going to be The Rock, he can't say the things that The Rock says, but he can say Chris Benoit things in a very strong, very powerful fashion". That's not the problem, according to Kevin Kelly. He believes Benoit has an artificial ceiling holding him back and mic skills have no bearing on the reason at all. Kevin Kelly Uncensored 2: "Triple H is going to make sure no one gets over more than him." This led to Kevin Kelly disecting how Hunter has hindered those trying to make it up in the WWE. Being a big conspiracy theorist, Kevin stongly believes the WWE has intentionally put characters in bad lights on common ground, in an effort to make Triple H look the best. "I was right there when Vince Russo for months was trying to do something with D'Lo Brown and it involved Triple H and the bottom line was Triple H said 'F*** D'Lo Brown, I don't care about him'". Kevin continues, "This was before Triple H was anybody. This was when he was still up Shawn's (Shawn Michaels) rear-end". Kevin Kelly Uncensored 3: "If you don't have the right political clout in that company, it's going to come back to haunt you." This led to major discussion about Vince McMahon and his success. Kevin Kelly believes the reason McMahon is as weathy and successful as he is today is largely by accident. "The majority of everything that has gotten over in the past 25 years have been solely, solely by accident," Kelly explains, "very few long-term plans that he (Vince) has ever came up with ever came true and ever worked out". Hulk Hogan and Wrestlemania were a couple of the exceptions according to Kevin. Kevin Kelly Uncensored 4: "He's a genius at what? He's a genius at having a lot of money who can try a lot of things...and occassionally one of them will stick." (referring to Vince McMahon) Speaking of one of McMahon's most recent "genius" ideas, Matt Hardy being let go was brought up. Kevin Kelly says that he wouldn't have fired Hardy, he would have drawn money off of it. "I would have found a way to put the two of them in the ring together," speaking of Matt and Edge, "there has to be away to draw money from it". With that said, Kevin Kelly thinks Hardy needs to let it go. "Sitting at home and crying about it on your computer, you look like a big puss," Kevin continues, "either do something about it, or shut up and move on". Kevin Kelly Uncensored 5: "I know you're hurt, but it's time to move on...either nut up or shut up." (referring to Matt Hardy) Switching topics, Kevin Kelly didn't have too many fond things to say about Court Bauer being the newest addition to the WWE writing team. "He'd have just as much say in there as the kid down the street selling lemonade," Kelly jokes, "give me a break". Kevin says Bauer could, however, be very successful in the WWE, but it has nothing to do with wrestling. "It has everything to do with the fact that they (the WWE) are marks for Hollywood people." Kelly claims Court Bauer failed at MLW, failed at starting another company, and failed in Hollywood trying to write screenplays. Kevin Kelly Uncensored 6: "I'm not sure what he's ever done in his life...I really don't." (referring to Court Bauer) Although he fell asleep during a Jeff Jarrett promo the first time he tried to watch TNA Impact, Kevin Kelly keeps up with the behind-the-scenes stories concerning the company. He's skeptical of the WGN deal and calls out TNA on their recent talent decisions bringing in Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and DDP. This prompted Cash to mention DDP's idea that it was him, Nash, Hall, and a couple others that got TNA looked at by the big t.v. stations. Kevin Kelly didn't quite agree with that theory. "DDP...he's a great guy," Kevin joked, "and if you don't believe it...just ask him". Kevin Kelly Uncensored 7: "He is the most selacious name-dropper in the history of the human race...he will drop a name faster than you will blink an eye..and it doesn't even have to be a popular name." (speaking on DDP) A chatroom member brought up "One Night Stand" and Kevin had very bold predictions to make regarding the outcome of the WWE-produced ECW pay-per-view. "It's going to fail...it's going to fail," Kevin says, "It's not going to fail because ECW wasn't great in the day or it couldn't be great now; it's going to fail because of who's running it". Kelly says just like the "Invasion" angle didn't work, this won't either because of the man heading the ship. He said wrestling fans that buy the ppv hoping to see an ECW ppv that they remember are being sold a bill of goods. Kevin Kelly Uncensored 8: "It's a doomed failure! Given their track record over the last 25 years, I'd be willing to say...this is something that they're going to try and they're going to fail at miserably." (on WWE's attempt to produce an ECW pay per view) 3PW announced recently that they'd be bringing Kevin Kelly in to produce their television starting on June 18th. Speculations and rumors have already been spread regarding Kevin Kelly and this new position including the accusations that Kevin is a racist. "I heard a rumor that I was being labeled a racist," Kevin says, "because Slyk Wagner Brown lost in 3PW this week (May 21) and because I was coming in, that meant Slyk was out. That's the rumor". Kevin responds to the allegations, "Slyk Wagner Brown is a tremendously talented athlete and he is a very gifted individual, but until he changes his perception of what should happen in a match, then he's only going to go so far. One day the light's going to go on for Slyk Wagner and he'll figure it all out, but he hasn't figured it out yet". Kevin Kelly Uncensored 9: "I am not a racist, but thank you very much for asking." The last discussion Chris, Mike, and Kevin really jumped into, by request of the listeners in the live chat room, was regarding the group of wrestlers traveling around doing the Christianity-based events and the belief that it's a ploy for many of them to make money. Big Mike added that it seems like the wrestlers that find religion are those that screw up their lives to the point of no return and use it as a scapegoat for their actions. "Are there phonies in the movement of this religious, wrestling phenomenon that's happened," Kevin asks and answers, "absolutely. There's also a lot of guys I think that are legit". Eddie Guerrero and Shawn Michaels are two Kevin mentioned as coming out on the "right side" of religion, but he's skeptical about Vince Russo. "If I sat down and I talked to him and I looked him in the eye, I would know for sure". Kevin Kelly Uncensored 10: "He is talk radio's speed-bump." (referring to Dr. Tom Prichard, fellow Voice of Wrestling "insider") You've just read the major points made by Kevin Kelly during this segment with Chris Cash and Big Mike of the Voice of Wrestling. There was a lot more discussed in this one-hour interview with Kevin Kelly and we encourage you to take a listen at the links listed below. I agree with Ravenbomb. Maybe he was hunting with some people and decided to "look cool" like a serial killer and pose for the camera. When I first got a bb gun I wanted to act like a gangsta in a movie and shoot 2 of them at the same time.

How come alot of these bullshit gimmicks are backed up with "The kids like it". Im glad Im not the only one who thought Cena and Batista were midcard. They dont even excite me. I dont watch Raw or Smackdown that much, but when I do and they are the main focus and stuff, I cant help but say "WTF are they doing with the belt?". When I first watched wrestling Austin, Rock, Triple H, Mankind, Kane, gave off the aura that they were main eventers. Except for Triple H now that Im older. He was the Cena and Batista of 98 and 99. I always wanted HHH to get the belt from Rock but now that I think about it, if he had have gotten it, he would suck just like Cena. Why was Lesnar so over? He sucked. And the bad thing is no one knew that.

I loved that episode. I was a 14 year old mark as well.
-
Midshow main events. I forgot about those days. I almost nutted in my shorts. And I forgot, in the late and mid 90s, WGN and WB would show the same stuff. Like Wayans Bros and stuff. I dont think they still do, but theres hope for people who dont get the WGN channel, it might be broadcasted thru WB or some other channel.

I think it was a good cliffhanger, cause it wasnt really one. Marissa will get off on self defense, no way is she going to jail. Trey is dead. I wish people would accept it. Even if he isnt, he isnt going to reappear unless it is the last episode or something. And the reason the season wasnt like this is because it allowed everything to flesh out. Jimmie left for a reason. Kirsten was drinking wine in every episode for a reason. Seth came back in the first episode for a reason. There were 4 new characters for a reason. Jimmie leaving set up a Cooper rebirth and Caleb dying. Kirsten drinking wine every episode set up the alcholoic/rehab storyline. If Seth was gone for the first 22 episodes like everyone on here wanted, it wouldnt have allowed any Summer "me" time. Zack allowed for a good story between the 3. DJ and Alex were placeholders for Marissa before she got back with Ryan, and Trey came along and helped build the bridge for them to get back together. Everyone was complaining about nothing making sense and everything seeming to be written "WWE" (Tuesday before the airing) but through out the season, everything that happened had a reason for happening. Including Lindsey. She was Ryan's placeholder. And before you say "They didnt need placeholders. They should have been together since episode 5", there would be no drama that you are drooling over at this minute.

"American Dragon" Bryan Danielson "quits" ROH
syxx2001 replied to DangerousDamon's topic in General Wrestling
Like I said, I have never seen Austin but a few times. And if that is the real reason why ROH never gave them the belt, then thats a good reason. -
"American Dragon" Bryan Danielson "quits" ROH
syxx2001 replied to DangerousDamon's topic in General Wrestling
Oh come on. If Kane had that beard everyone would laugh. Wasnt Joe supposed to be quitting wrestling as well cause he hasnt had any WWE interest and while being a top performer in the world hasnt even been given the ROH belt? I never understood that. ROH does it all of the time. They will build up AJ Styles as a main eventer, go NWA Tumblestack and get Henry Jakes, throw him in 2 spotfests and have him win a 6 man tourny in one night to get him over with the fans and give him the belt a few months down the line. Its like saving up money for an Infiniti G35 and buying a Honda Civic. Xavier and Austin Aries are good examples. Xavier is weaksauce to me, never paid Austin any mind, but there are and were plenty of good stars on the roster that could and should have gotten the belt over them. -
Dave Chappelle found! Talks with TIME Magazine in
syxx2001 replied to Nightfall's topic in Television & Film
You'd never guess? And whos fault is that? Chappelle's? Is it Rey Mysterio's fault that you would never know there are any cruiserweights in the WWE? -
I dont see how Sabin is helping with a back flip. Sabin's feet are still on the ground and the move is halfway over.

I was watching ESPN a few minutes ago and they ran a peice on SC about Mikan having diabetes and kidney failure and due to him retiring before 1965, when the NBA Retiree penchant was born, he only gets 20,000 dollars A YEAR compared to the 45,000 Oscar Robertson or Kevin McHale would get since they left after 1965. He doesnt have the toes on his left foot, his doesnt have his right leg and he is missing fingers on his left hand. He had to auction off his MLPS jersey to pay for his medical bills. He had to sell his MVP trophy to pay his medical bills. This is the man who put the NBA on the map in the 40s and 50s and he cant even get good coverage or whatever from the NBA. SC asked the NBA about it and they said since it is being discussed by the players union or some bullshit, they couldnt discuss it in public. Mikan talked about how in 2001 when his statue was debuted at the Target Center, Stern thanked him via video for being one of the best players in history and at one point being the best and being the NBA's history. So Mikan asked if all of that is true how come he cant even get the money post '65 players get. His son believes since there are less than 100 players that retired before '65 still alive the NBA doesnt care cause they will die soon and wont have to worry about it anymore. Mikan also wants the security for his wife, as widows get 50% of what the players get, so she would get 10,000 dollars a year. The news/sports caster said from where he was sitting someone in the NBA or NBPA should be ashamed of themselves and I couldnt agree more. I just thought I should let some people know since some might not and this shit is horrible.

Kobe and Shaq on the same team, we saw what happened. Kobe, Payton, Malone and Shaq on the same team, we saw what happened. Kobe cant coinside with another superstar, and I doubt another player will want to go to LA and put up with his shit.
-
He was using an example. And never did I say NBA players should pay for it, I said the NBA and the PA.
-
They talked about the Ray Allen comment on Around the Horn too. Woody and Mariotti said hes out of his mind and Smith and Adande said they agreed. I think he is out of his mind. Like Mariotti said, if NBA players are too spoiled to take 2 weeks out of the summer every 4 years to play a sport they supposedly love, then to hell with them, go get some guys who actually want to play.
-
They were talking about Bonzi on Around the Horn, whats up with him? They said the coach cant stand him or something?
-
Actually Mikan has 20,000 coming in. That means he is just above the poverty line. And considering what he did to help make the NBA the billion dollar business it is today, he shouldnt live like that. And I agree its the NBA problem, but there should be some players that help out, like Oscar said alot of them dont think about who did what to help get them to where they are, they think they are there because of their talent.

Are there any "newsboardz" around anymore?
syxx2001 replied to UZI Suicide's topic in General Wrestling
I remember when I was 14 I went thru like 5 sites trying to find something, and I emailed the webmaster and asked where what I was looking for, was.
