- Jeff Jarrett said when he defeated Ron "The Truth" Killings for the NWA TNA World Championship, it was one his lifelong goals and he had reached one of his destinys of his career. While he feels that every title defense is important, the one with Raven is the most important because Raven wants to fufill his destiny just like Jarrett did. Raven has laid out a plan and it has been working thus far, and Jarrett feels that he has his work cut out for him. Jarrett said when you hold the World Title, you have an X on your chest and on your back because you don't know who your friends and who your foes are. - When asked about bringing in older talents who some might be consider to be washed up, Jarrett said they have a mixture of talent, just like a football team or a movie. They have some young guys, some veterans, and people in between. He feels that they have a good balance of talent, such guys from the X-Divison that counter the ECW Extreme guys. When asked if Jerry Lynn might join the Extreme stable, he doesn't think the Extreme style of wrestling plays to Jerry Lynn's strengths, just like the technical side doesn't play to Sandman's strengths. - He said one of the unique things about NWA TNA is that you only have to devote two hours a week to the show, where in WWE and WCW you would have to watch four hours of wrestling a week plus the monthly PPV shows, and TNA is something good to watch and follow for people who don't have a lot of spare time. - Another advantage of watching TNA is that you get eight hours of television a week for the same price as getting a monthly WWE PPV. Jarrett said that TNA offeres wrestling, promos, sit-down interviews, and many other things wrapped into one package every Wednesday night. - As far as a television deal goes, TNA officials have been in contact with various companies, but they have a current business plan that doesn't involve television at this moment. Jarrett feels that they are doing well enough right now where they don't have to take a risk such as moving to television. He said that they are so many factors in getting a television deal, and they are taking things one day at a time. He talked about how TNA has evolved in the past several months, and will continue to grow with each show. - Jarrett talked about how his family's involvement in the wrestling business goes back three generations, starting with his grandmother who did everything the business accept wrestle and referee. He compared themselves to WWE by saying that they have the knowledge on how to run a wrestling business and how to target their audience, unlike other wrestling promotions that have tried to start up since WCW died. - Jarrett said that the fans today are much more understandable, knowledgeable and impatient because they are educated on the business in a good way, not in a bad way as some people might think. They are very demanding about the product and it gives great feedback on what they have to do to improve themselves.

charisma, looks, character. his wrestling is only a bonus.

thats because many of the internet fans come off as "fire rikishi. he sucks." "jeff hardy is trash." "chris jericho has lost a step" if you write it in a sensible fashion, and actually write it out, they would probably listen.
-
these things never work....because never even attempt. i doubt any of you are doing anything except going back and forth to message boards. take 5 minutes to fill out the petition. MAYBE it could work. its just like the people who say "tna should get a tv deal". order the damn show and make their buyrates high so they can get a show on tv. or, i love this one, "why do they continue to show me this shit every monday. it insults my intellegence". well, here is your chance. sign the petition, let your intellegence be complemented and hopefully HELP the damn cause. not sitting him bitching that nothing ever works.

TNA only got him as a special attraction in the first place. So it's not like they're the good guys in this either. I guess thats why he was involved in the SEX/NWA storyline? They were probably mad because he was brought in, 2 weeks in TNA, and they threw him a contract and he jumped at it without thought. Many of the guys in TNA's locker room would rather stay with TNA because it is like home. They were born there and were treated better than the WWE. AMW, if they were to leave for the WWE, they would be frowned upon too. TNA helped them. If it wasn't for TNA Z, or AMW in this example, wouldn't have been seen by no more than the 500 people in their 5 state touring. And I guess you could say its the case of "we want to make it big" or something. Cause when they make it big, then everyone who left would try to come back in. Or it could be that he left and went to the WWE KNOWING that he was only signed cause of his leg when Low Ki, Daniels and Styles were all available and were previously called by the WWF and are undoubtedly better than Z.
-
tim is right, juniors dont sell in the us. and selling i mean "my leg hurts" for 15 minutes in the match. they might twitch for a few seconds, then a minute later they pull a springboard hurricane plancha out of their ass.
-
yea, that would have been easier. taking out the old hard drive.
-
was it a boxing style intro? you should have known that. im ashamed to be with you so called tna fans
-
well, trin is a stunt double. im sure it didn't hurt too bad
-
and the jarretts running the company and jeff getting the final say
-
so much for a _____ on a pole match sucking huh?
-
im sure jeff would like the extra 1000 dollars from the 100's of girls who would pay to see jeff. and once they get the extra money, they have a tv show

It looks like Trinity is in line for a big push by the NWA-TNA. They could want to have it so she becomes a legit threat against men, much like the WWE did with Chyna a few years back. However, they feel that while she looks great doing her highspots, she could be exposed more if left in longer matches. There was a mention of the NWA-TNA taking a page out of the WWE's playbook and trying to set up a General Manager for the entire NWA-TNA but the idea has been dropped. Percy "Paul Bearer" Pringle is expected to manage the roommate of Jerry Lynn, "Lord Humungous", upon his return to the NWA-TNA.
-
sooo, whats up with the may 5th boycott?
-
Speaking of the NWA-TNA, there is a difference in opinion between the two top creative writers of the promotion, Jeff Jarrett and Vince Russo. Russo wants to focus on making new stars like Ron Killings, Amazing Red, etc, while Jarrett believes that outside players and suprises each week are the key. As it stands right now, they are working on mixing both of their ideas together to come up with a winning forumla. Credit: wrestlingobserver.com That damned Russo. Fuck him.
-
yea i read that too. russo wants to be off tv, but jarrett wants him on tv. and astro, jeff owns the company so he should get the final say. and does anyone have a pic of jerry. for some reason i see him as a dusty rhodes lookalike.
-
well red jed, maybe im getting this board confused with the LOP board, cause there were a few people there that said they wont even give tna a chance just because russo is involved.
-
nope, im one and, well, one. im not new blood. and like always, people are looking at the bad things he did, but no one remembers the monster push he gave to lance 'god' storm, or when he flamed 'mr. no push' hulk hogan on ppv, or when he gave booker t the world title. if there hadn't of been russo, i doubt you would see the hurricane, even tho he isn't funny, or sean o'haire. and im not saying "treat him like a god", but give him a chance. you all, or a majority praise tna and call it the best thing since pockets on pants when they put on a 5 star show but when it gives a bad show, you hear nothing but "fuck russo. he doesn't know what hes doing". uh, weren't you just giving praise to him for putting on a good show? like i said, you dont have to suck his dick and clean his feet, but at least give the man his props when he deserves it and not throw all of the shit his way when you dont know who writes what. because today you call raven/jarrett the best build up of the year but as soon as raven drops the belt to francine, you say "russo", which is appropriate, but you dont know who did it for sure or not. and this just doesn't go for russo, but everything in life. everyone writes down the negative but never remembers the positive one does.
-
new blood, that is something that will boggle me for ages.
-
i think them advertising on the back of cable guides is a good start. then they should do to wrestling magazines and commercials on late night tv.
-
lets give russo a round of applause.
-
i remember reading it in something a while back. 1wrestling i think it was. someone asked would magnum ta appear somewhere and they said he doesn't want to, or didn't want to cause he was sadden that he cant wrestle anymore.
-
i doubt magnum ta will show up. he doesn't want to do anything wrestling related as it saddens him cause he cant wrestle.

if fans can cheer for benoit and angle, they can cheer for dragon. benoit and angle have been forced to the crowd as WRESTLERS and not sports entertainers. so when benoit and angle flop around the ring reversing crotch grabs into head locks, the fans cheer. fans can do the same for a daniels vs dragon match. and i think dragon is number 2. behind daniels. then low ki and styles then red. HEY, its my opinion.
