Well, I can't speak for Spin City, but no, Friends never did a 9/11-related episode. Infact, I think that's one of the reasons why the ratings for Friends shot up in the 8th Season, because the terrorist attacks never happened in their universe, and people could watch a show where New York will still the same. The only references to 9/11 were the Twin Towers being cut out of the opening and in the exterior shots, and that in Joey and Rachel's apartment, an American flag hung on the door. Another Parent Hood "special episode": Nick's school is doing a presentation on famous black people, and Nick chooses Buckwheat from The Little Rascals. Nick's parents then talk about racial stereotypes, and how for many years the only roles black people got in films in Hollywood were degrading, racist, stereotypical roles. In the end, Nick still dresses up as Buckwheat, but he then removes the wig, and talks about the racism blacks had to deal with in Hollywood. Then, Robert Townsend does a segment which shows a bunch of black actors from the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, and says that this episode is dedicated to all the black actors who had to do stereotypical roles in Hollywood. I never saw that episode. I might have seen the beginning but I never saw the end.

I'll pay 10 dollars a month for Raw and Nitro reruns.
-
Well, normal people do do that. One minute I can be happy and then if something pisses me off enough, I will be mad. Most of the time Dan is cracking jokes with Roseanne to make her feel happy again and once he realizes that she isnt budging and just keeps getting loud he has to get loud as well.
-
I can why you would say you dont want to keep paying 30 dollars to see the same match, but how does it stop being different if no one else offers it?
-
Who cares? Cage matches were probably special at one point, and even if TNA does these matches all of the time, they still offer something different. ROH or WWE or any other indy doesnt have 6 sided rings or Ultimate X.
-
Am I the only one who doesnt mind or likes drama on sitcoms? I think Roseanne was a good mix because it wasnt serious all of the times and showed the little things NORMAL families go through, like a horrible boss, losing a job or something. Like Family Matters, how many of you have tried to hook your sister up on a date and she ends up having 3 and one is a nerd?

Nah, they never acknowledged him. Another episode is when some movie comes out and Rob and Jeri wont let Nick see it or something and they are in the kitchen under the sink and Rob goes "Nick, what did I tell you about wearing my shirt?" and he goes "N____ please".
-
Ray's pop? Sherman Helmsley? Well, the only "special episode" I can think of is when Jordan doesnt want to go to church because he thinks its full of hypocrites. Guest starring Kirk Franklin.

Smart Guy - TJ gets drunk at a party. Parent Hood - Nick gets kidnapped Wayans Bros - I think they had one that dealt with adoption Jamie Foxx Show - The little kid (Orlando Brown) had a problem with a bully and bought a gun to shoot him (the kid from Coach Carter; One on One) I dont think Sister Sister or Steve Harvey had a special episode.

Ive heard it many times, but what does "HBK lost his smile" mean. Really, I know all about the Bret Hart promo where he said it but what did it mean and why did he say it.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

Im watching the 1/25/99 Nitro and Bret Hart is HILARIOUS. "Who is Booker T to challenge me and get a non title match no less? He's a loser. Ive been sizing guys up since I came to WCW, I have some contenders in mind..." At this point Im thinking Chris Benoit... "El Dandy, I think you are a heck of a wrestler, a really mark up guy and a real professional so if you would like a shot." "You cant choose El Dandy, he's a cruiserweight. He isnt in your division" "Well what about Cosis?" "You mean Psicosis?" "Yeah, Psicosis, whatever" -

Im watching the last Nitro of 98, when Flair won the Presidency from Bischoff... Why did Bischoff let Flair get the win over him and run things on screen? Was it really for 90 days or did something happen (fade offs, angle dropped)? Probably not, but was there any long term plan for this? -
TPC is dope. I been downloading Nitros all week, but due to this sorry college connection, its been taking like 8 hours for one cd, so 3/4 of a day for one show. When I get home its gonna blaze thru though.

Ive seen a bunch of episodes, but I remember one where this girl was home from school and some people got in her house so she tried to leave but the door was locked from the inside, and she couldnt find her key, so she went back upstairs and they hit her in the back of the head and tied her up and ramsacked the house and she begged not to be killed and one of the guys unwrapped her and left and occasionally she has seziurs or howeber you spell it. I only remember it cause it happened in Sugar Land which is a suburb of Houston. SL or Clear Lake, it was probably CL though. Oh, I remember one where this guy sniped a sherrif through his kitchen window and I think he lived. Another was this guy and his friend were drunk so they went out fucking with people and they pull up to this pizza parlor and this guy is leaving and they pull up and try to take his car and he runs back into the parlor and they cant get the car to start so they leave and they are fucking around on the highway and shoot some guy with a shotgun. Ive seen alot of UM shows, but I remember alot more Beyond Belief episodes.

Yeah, Seth was a goon this episode. And when Seth fell I thought "Shes gonna kiss him" and it was perfect when she did. That was cool.
-
Man tonight so far has been hilarious. First Seth listening to Boyz II Men...that was crazy. Then when he went to get his advance from Alex and Marissa comes out in her bath robe and goes "Are we going back to bed?" and Seth finds out they have been messing around....crazy. And before that Kirsten and Julie smoking and drinking Scotch and Julie saying her lesbian experience was a phase...hmmm, hot. So far has been funny. EDIT: "Thanks for selling me my boat back" "No prob but I made some changes to her" "Nice that you refered to it as a her....Wow, shes a slut"

Any predictions? The commercial showed Moe, lenny and the black guy and Mr. Burns I think. I wonder who it could be though. If there is a OAO thread for Simpsons move this there then.
-
It could be Patty cause Marge went to the church and told the preacher if someone wants to be married then they should be regardless of gender. Its going to be an hour long for anyone who might miss it on purpose and feel like checking out the end.

Well, I liked it. The Sandy bit was written great and it came off so good. Kirsten saying "If you want to go Im not going to stop you" you could tell she didnt want him to leave, and when he left her heart dropped. And her closing the door in his face. For everyone complaining, who is Ryan supposed to hit? Caleb? Where would he stay? Wouldnt you be saying "Well, that was stupid now Ryan is out of the loop" or some shit. And Seth is doing what every love sick teenage boy does, limboing between telling the girl he loves her and trying to stay away. Weren't people complaining about Marissa "holding Ryan back" in the first season, now she has branched off on her own and still complaints? Im glad they added new characters. Theres only so much 4 people can do. What were the kids going to do? Switch partners? So Seth can be with Marissa and Ryan be with Summer? And how can you say Sandy isnt being himself? Its his first love, and obviously he was never done with her, and people behave like that believe it or not. I dont think this season is as fast paced as last season, but its still a good show. I dont get the hate. When WWE rushes through 5 storys in 2 months like The OC did last year, people say "We need time for the storys to marinate" and bullshit like that, so now that The OC lets you peep some storys that are slow, you want them fast.

Yea, something like that.

What is it with these fucking rich people shows?
syxx2001 replied to Damaramu's topic in Television & Film
I know they havent worked for anything and I could care less if they did. Maybe its because I would rather have things handed to me than work for me, but that doesnt mean Im not willing to work for it. So I look at P.Diddy's life on Cribs and say "Thats how I want to live" and be able to give my daughters a super sweet 16. But you have to think about, if you had a child and you made 350,000 dollars a year, wouldnt you spoil them? I mean, how couldnt you. But, I get your arguement, I just dont know if you are bitter with them having it good or if you just want good TV. -

syxx2001 replied to Damaramu's topic in Television & Film
Maybe its me but I look at those shows as motivation so I can say "Thats what I want to be like in 5-10-15 years". Damon Dash said it best, but not in these words A man who always talks about what another man has and what he never will have and spitting all of that negative energy around, wont ever have anything. -
When did WCW hit The Point Of No Return ?
syxx2001 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in General Wrestling
Eh, when Sting turned heel. -
Tonights was kinda bland, but I wouldnt call it bad. But you are trying to compare this season to last season, and you can tell they are trying to take a different route by tying adult and teen stories together. This season isnt horrible by any means, but when you compare it to last seasons, you can say that.

Ah man. This episode just hit a whole nother level of funny. Zack: I was thinking of maybe dinner and a movie. Summer: OK but it better not be a comic book movie. Seth: Comic book movies suck anyways. ::Ryan nods:: Zack: Dude you didnt like X2? Seth: Ehhhh Zack: Really? Seth: Ive seen better.
