    D'Lo Getting TV Time

Stacy should stick to doing what she does best, and that's being a valet. She's nothing more than a cheap T & A gal, and thus, she shouldn't be booked in matches at ALL, save for the meaningless T & A matches.

    Best Music Vid Package?

D'oh, I know most vids build up a feud or add to it. But, for instance, the Desire vid. What feud did that contribue to? When I made this topic, I was just wondering what everyone's fave vid was. That could be anything from the RAW intro to the Smackdown Tag Title Tournament vid on Survivor Series.

    Best Music Vid Package?

I never said it was building up a feud.... the topic's title is "Best Music Vid". I'm only thinking of the ones at PPVs, but this topic isn't ONLY about those...

So I'm watching the July 8, 2002 Raw...

Did I miss something? Absolutely NONE of my posts have been lectures. As for my question of passing the torch....I was just ASKING. I hear everyone talk about it all the time, although I doubt they know what it means. But I think I summed it up nicely....the passing of "time" from one legend to the next.

Best Of Confidential Vol. 1 on DVD

No, I post because I have opinions that I like to say. HBK is a good worker...Bret? Don't know. I didn't say I was ONLY interested in the martial artists. And I said to "some extent" Rico was considered a martial artist. I started watching around that time....but didn't really pay attention to it. I started to pay attention to it around December's Vengeance....which probably doesn't help me, buuuuut.... Yeah, I do know what you're talking about. They had almost two confidentials to talk about the Survivor Series controversy. Besides that, they made numerous referenances to it throughout the year. Yes, I know the guy died. Like I mentioned above, I never miss Confidential (unless it's a repeat). I would say I don't like seeing druggies on my tv....but then I'd be contradicting myself by supporting X-Pac, Eddie Guerrero (known druggies) as well as RVD and Jeff Hardy (I'm not too sure if they're druggies or not....although, I missed ECW soooo, I'm not too sure about RVD). Besides that, I don't just depend on COnfidential for wrestling history (although they always sum up things nicely).... Oooooh, so you summed up the whole board here (minus the slash, obviously). Does everyone KNOW for a FACT that HHH has a bad backstage attitude or uses steroids? Nope....they just go by what they read on the net and give their opinion based on THAT. As for slash? Hey, if you want to use my writing preferances as an insult....feel free. It won't affect me at all.

    Best Music Vid Package?

Yeah, the history Desire vid is the Greatest of 'em all. But...that position was given to WX7's vid. Oooooooh....COMPETITION~!

So I'm watching the July 8, 2002 Raw...

I understand the connections. But in a lot of matches, the face in peril makes some sort of comeback. Get their asses kicked for most of the match, then when the crowd gets behind them, they make a comeback.....usually. On a side note, what is with HHH's obsession with no-selling HBK's superkick? I've noticed this....anytime HBK "revs up the band" in the corner, and the crowd gets behind the kick....HHH almost always grabs the leg and stops the move. That's about the only awkward moment I can think of during their match at Summerslam. Although, perhaps the move is best used for a surprise move.... *shrug* The Rock/Hogan matchup was inevitable since Hogan made the comeback with the nWo. It was supposed to be Hogan playing the heel and Rock being the big face....but crowd just REFUSED to boo Hogan, which was kinda funny. I doubt Hogan could handle a match with RVD...it'd be like Hogan vs any of the cruiserweights. It'd be really horrible to watch, but that's just my opinion. Just what is the 'torch' anyway? Is it the passing of "time" from an old legend to the next? IF that's the case, then I think both Hogan and HBK are passing of bits and pieces of their torch. Hogan partially passed the torch to Rock....the crowd was behind him, but he still did the job to Rock. And I also think Hogan partially passed the torch to Brocky. As for HBK? Hmmmm....I think he's partially passing his torch off to guys like RVD, Jericho, and PERHAPS Jeff. I don't know about HHH's refusal to job, and thus, I can't really comment. All I know is what I see on TV. There's no proven facts that HHH refuses to job to anyone.....it's all just 'net rumors. If I may veer off-topic here.......perhaps WWE and HHH caters to the net? All the rumors about him refusing to do jobs cause us to hate him....thus....heel heat! So much that we wish him off our TV, injured, dead, whatever. I'd compare it to the heels of "back then".

Best Of Confidential Vol. 1 on DVD

Hey, I have a short attention span. Most long, boring matches fail to grab my attention. The only technical matches I like are anything involving the Smackdown 6. But mostly, I prefer the Cruiserweight matches, and anything involving the martial artists (X-Pac RVD, and to some extent, Rico).

So I'm watching the July 8, 2002 Raw...

So....what? The crowd was 100% behind HBK....either that, or I'm delusional. Who cares about putting young guys over? Okay, I do, but....these matches had nothing to do with putting a guy over or whatever. Rock/Hogan was about legends....Hogan a legend from his day, and Rock a legend now. We all can argue the legend status, but that's not the point. HBK/HHH was about history as well. The history between these two friends..... if you want to argue the greatness of the match, then just compare it to what Nash vs HHH MIGHT'VE been.

A Rey Mysterio DVD?!?! Now THAT would be freakin' awesome!!

So I'm watching the July 8, 2002 Raw...

If the plan was Nash vs HHH, then I'm really glad it didn't happen. Because there's really more history between HBK and HHH, and that made for a more emotional match. Anytime something even touched his back, HBK sold like he was dying, and the crowd were marking for the simplest of moves....that match was incredible. Rock vs Hogan...... HHH vs HBK.....if nothing else, those two matches show that WWE hasn't gone COMPLETELY insane....

    The Best Never Seen !

Not that I recall.....but didn't he take a few Shooting Star Presses?

    Austin Powers in Goldmember

The toilet humor was kinda nasty....which is why FB should've left out. Considering he's not fat anymore, I hope he is left out of the (if there is one) next one. A movie that focuses more on Dr. Evil/Mini Me/Goldmember and Austin getting less air time.....THAT would be a cool movie.

Best Of Confidential Vol. 1 on DVD

Gee, and I thought you weren't an X-Pac fan![/sarcasm] Well, sorry I'm not into old history! No, wait, I take that back. I AM interested in the history.....as long as it's 1)interesting or 2)made to be interesting. An example of (2) comes to mind is last week's confidential when they discussed the last Nitro. I enjoyed the comments made by Shane, Kidman, Storm, etc. An example of (1) would be a segment they had on the show, comparing Eddie and RVD's Frog Splash, and they also talked about the AWESOME ladder match they had. Now THAT was cool...much more interesting and better than Davey Boy Smith or the Bradshaw and Big Show Hoops competition....

At least I didn't go into too much detail....be thankful for that.

    Best Music Vid Package?

I don't watch WWE just because of the guys, or because I like to write my stories. If that was true, why would I take the time to watch Heat? Because of slash...no. Because I want to figure out what Raven's damned Masterpiece is! NOW he's moving to Raw, but I'll still watch Heat....and Velocity....and Confidential every week. Should anyone ask me why I watch WWE, I say 1)Entertainment (Kurty and Benoit segments, Eddy's span-english, Stevie and Victoria....etc, etc) 2)Matches (Cruiserweights, Smackdown 6, etc, etc) 3)The guys (of course they're on the list) But, back on topic (hey, it's my topic and I can rant if I want to!).... I've always wanted to see WX-7, but now I REALLY want to! And....my local vid store doesn't have it! *Sniffle* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Yup, the Invasion intro was friggin' awesome. Another intro that comes to mind is Armageddon...the one with that 6-man cage match. It had clips of exploding houses, all the wrestlers involved in the match....all to the music of "The End". THAT was cool.

    Bradshaw's Column in RAW Magizine...

I have been keeping my slash discussion to a min. It was just...one thing led to another here, so I just went with it. Ah, but...you're partly wrong on this one. Most peeps write about the CHARACTERS, not the real people. You brought up Star Trek, so I'll use that as an example. Say someone slashes two CHARACTERS based on what they see on TV. Does that mean they're slashing the actual people? No. Okay, I'll shut up now.....back to "serious" discussion, ie, whether wrestlers juice up or not.....

    Austin Powers in Goldmember

On a side note, am I the only one who thinks WWE stole two angles from this movie? First, you had "MiniDust" (Too funny....that's classic!) then you had Ass Cream......... oddness, I tell ya. "Yes Preperation H does feel good.....on the hole" - Scott "Fook YU!" It was always funny the way she said that...
  19. It's YUNA.... Hogan/Foley slash?????? EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWW!!! How come when I talk about the hotties in slash fics, noone listens, but then everyone talks about the ugly dudes in slash? THAT'S JUST NOT RIGHT!!!
  20. Yuna_Firerose

    Bradshaw's Column in RAW Magizine...

Yup, it's all serious! Why, does a lil slash talk OFFEND you? Well, too f'n bad!! If ya don't like it, don't read it!

Best Of Confidential Vol. 1 on DVD

Flair/Sting was on last week's Confidential.....it was a story on the last Nitro, including comments from Kidman, Shane Helms, Lance Storm, Flair, etc.
  22. Yuna_Firerose

    Austin Powers in Goldmember

Ooooooookay, then........ Still, Goldmember had a sexy accent, especially his odd lil giggle. Him and Dr. Evil should have had more scenes....instead they gave a fat bastard air time. Hmmmmmmm........that sounds so familiar, although I can't figure out where from.. *coughwwecough*
  23. Yuna_Firerose

    Xpac&Chyna

Chyna received a bondage kit has a gift. But before that....Anna was licking some anal beads (I think that's what they were) that X-Pac was holding. This show had to be the dumbest thing EVER! I only watched it because I'm a loyal X-Pac/Chyna mark.....so, I taped their parts, and quickly eliminated Anna from the rest of my memory.
  24. Yuna_Firerose

    Austin Powers in Goldmember

"I'm from Holland....isn't that vweird?" --Goldmember I still don't get that......
  25. Yuna_Firerose

    Austin Powers in Goldmember

Damned hilarious......and kinda sexy. But, that's just my weirdness speaking. Hell, I still think Beni from The Mummy (first one) was the sexiest guy there....second would be Ardeth (I once had an idea to slash those two....) third is Jonathan. Rick O'Connel......eh, boring in looks, great in comedy.
