PWG Presents ''44 Ways To Kill You With A Pimento'

Well, compared to other PWG cards this one may appear to be somewhat lacking on paper, but really it should be just the opposite. Here's short thoughts (I'll do a longer and more boring write up later) SBS Vs. M-Dogg/Josh: Could be as fun of a match as you are likely to see anywhere. SD/Excalibur are always thrilling as a tag team and they should mix well with M-Dogg/Josh. Ricky Reyes Vs. Quance: Best match on the card thus far, and as with Reyes' last 2 PWG singles matches this one will be the show stealer. Frankie Kazarian Vs. Hardkore Kidd: There GSCW match last year was the best Hardkore Kidd match I've ever seen... so Frankie's the just the man to get a real good match out of Hardkore. Adam Pearce Vs. Slymm: This should 58 different kinds of fun as are most of Pearce's matches. Be interesting to see where they go with this PWG title angle. X-Foundation Vs. Ballards: Though I haven't seen it myself. I've heard that these teams had an excellent match in UPW a few months ago, so I don't see why this one will be any different. Plus this could be the match where the X-Foundation finally split up.. which will lead to great things for both Ryan and Lost IMO. Heel Scott Lost will be money... And heck who knows what they will do with the AXP, B-Boy, Puma, Kozina, Disco and whomever else they throw in. Overall it should be a very very good show, I really wish more feds would book "weak" cards like this one.
  3. The new PWG press release: "By Silverback, PWG Staff Writer Copperopolis, California - In an astounding move, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com) has decided to make their next show entirely a musical production! While the next show won''t feature the usual wrestling matches fans are used to, we hope that they would be interested in seeing some of their favorite wrestlers from all over Southern California and around the world try their hand at musical theatre! The presentation will be split into eight acts, featuring: . Phoenix Star & Zokre vs. Charles Mercury & Top Gun Talwar . Disco Machine vs. Scorpio Sky . Apollo Kahn vs. Ricky Reyes . X-Foundation (Funky Billy Kim, Scott Lost, & Joey Ryan) vs. The Thomaselli Brothers (Brandon, Sal, & Vito Thomaselli) . B-Boy vs. "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels . Hardkore Kidd vs. Messiah PWG Tag Team Championship Match . "Photogenic" Chris Bosh & Quicksilver © vs. S.B.S. (Excalibur & Super Dragon) . American Dragon vs. Samoa Joe While PWG cannot guarantee that all participants will engage in a traditional form of musical theatre, we can guarantee that "The Musical" will literally knock your socks off your feet, through your shoes, into your car, they will somehow start your car and drive to your home where they will smash through the window and land in the hamper! Pro Wrestling Guerrilla "The Musical" takes place Saturday, April 17, 2004 at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge, at 8:00PM. The Santa Ana Elks Lodge is located at 212 S. Elk Lane, Santa Ana, CA 92701. Tickets are only $15 each, and will be available at the door. For more information, please visit http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com or email [email protected]. ---------------------------------------------- For those fans who have had trouble in the past, or are still waiting on orders placed via our website, we have recently overhauled our orders system and have now put a small Asian boy in charge of shipping to improve our customer service. If you are still waiting on an order, please email [email protected] to verify we have the correct shipping information in order to expedite your order. " Sucks there wasn't a funny write up for each match again... but still that looks like a hell of a card. B-Boy Vs. Daniels and AD Vs. Joe should be awesome.

The OAO What's this move thread

Ya, but I got that from thecubsfan.com. I'm trying to picture it. Watch the Spanky video in this thread: http://www.czwfans.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=27707 He does it a few times.

Is there a worse finisher than the Spear

I'd have to disagree about the RKO. When done right (aka not botched) it can look like a legit good finisher. It's basically a diamond cutter, and we all know that was a main event finisher for several years. Yeah, I wasn't putting down the move really just that Orton's execution is so horrible at times that it's hard to buy it as a true finisher. But I'm sure this board has already had enough Orton discussion

Is there a worse finisher than the Spear

I don't see anything topping the People's Elbow, The F-U and The Worm. I really hate the "RKO" as well.

    First person announced for BOTB4

http://www.czwwrestling.com/BOB4%20Profile...ob4profile.html 2nd person announced for BOTB, Inoki Dojo/PWG/APW wrestler Bobby Quance. I think this is a great pick. This could be Quance's chance to breakout as a major star nationwide. He could steal the whole tourney if booked against the right workers.

The OAO What's this move thread

Well according to your own listings: Doctor Teeth (Swinging Neckbreaker into Face Crusher [OO calles it a Jawbreaker] onto his knee) (in WWE) and according to an earlier post on this board: "The King of the World is a Sliced Bread #2 with the opponent on Low Ki's shoulders." And I think the Whirling Twirlitzer is his Twisting Rana out of the corner... but I'm not totally sure.

    Rocko's Modern Life

Great show, one of my favorites as a kid. Looking back it was fairly edgy as well, you really notice this when I rewatched a bunch of them on the Nicktoons channel. This show contains alot of hilarious innuendo that went right over my head as a kid. Like when Spunky was screwing that mop and the Doctor stole the mop for himself, and Rocko getting stuck in that large women's ass, Mrs Bighead trying to seduce Rocko among many others. Very twisted stuff for a children's cartoon... I would really like to see this on DVD one day....

  14. Great news on this... from http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=1421 "Garfield and Friends - G&F - Volume 1 (regular episodes) are up for pre-order! Posted by David Lambert 4/22/2004 Back when we reported about the Garfield as Himself DVD release of 3 specials from the fat cat's series, we mostly got...disappointment. Most readers wanted to get the first season of the Garfield and Friends series itself. "Be patient", we told you. Your patience has paid off. Taking a bit longer to be ready to show off, like a slow-cooked lasagna, we now word from online e-tailer DVDEmpire.com that Garfield and Friends - Volume 1 is ready to be served up to hungry fans on July 27th. There was some preliminary word about this a few days ago from Diamond Previews, the pre-order catalog from the comic book dealers' wholesale distributor. The info from Diamond and from DVDEmpire doesn't quite match up, though, so we'll have to wait for official word from Fox Home Video to know what's really what. What DVDEmpire has to say is that the box set "featur(es) 24 episodes of the hilarious animated Saturday morning TV series...each episode contains a Garfield sandwich, featuring two slices of Garfield & Friends and a chewy center of U.S. Acres, the show featuring Garfield's farm-fresh friends, also created by comic genius Jim Davis. " List price is shown there to be $29.95. This results in more content for less cost than Diamond Previews had predicted. Who's right? We'll let you know when Fox gives us the for-sure word, which could be any day now. In the meantime, feel free to place your pre-order for this set at DVDEmpire's great pre-order price of just $20.07...to buy it, just click here. "

What do you miss in wrestling

I miss the way they would promote House Show Cards as actual big events on TV. They booked matches you wanted to see (like Bret Hart Vs. Owen, Undertaker Vs. Warrior, Hogan Vs Random guys ETC) and they would have the wrestlers give taped promos hyping Big House Show matches as if it were PPV or something. It made house shows feel special and appear to be a big event rather than a throwaway card. It actually made you want to attend the show!!! great concept eh? I like that idea better the rushed feeling that monthly PPVs have.

JR trashes internet, Puro on Byte This

Like anyone working for a company that has recently pushed or is now pushing workers like Bob Holly, Bradshaw, Mark Henry, Nathan Jones and has a good worker like Nick Dinsmore doing a retard gimmick has any right to judge anyone else's product. Fuck JR and Fuck Jeff Hardy too. I'd watch bad puro before I'd watch a drugged up Jeff Hardy going through the motions.

6 Playas Who Need Mad Props

Here's some pics Excalibur: http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com/merch...calibur_tee.jpg Excalibur/Super Dragon: http://www.shanesphotos.com/wrestling/gall...images/0110.jpg More good pics are available at http://www.shanesphotos.com/wrestling/index.htm And anyone interested in Super Dragon should really check out the ungodly great Super Dragon Evolution 3 DVD set. available at http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com/merch/ Man, why do I always end up sounding like a huge shill when talking about this stuff... Anyway, good article I pretty much agree on everyone except Steen who I have never had the chance to see. If you ever do another one, I think a good subject would be Scott Lost. Who is really crimally overlooked even in SoCal. He is really only a heel turn away from really blowing up on the indy scene.

PWG ''The Musical'' Comes To Town On April 17!

Funny PWG release about Pearce/Kazarian/Slymm in Las Vegas. "PWG Champion reportedly involved in Sin City Brawl By Peter Drippings Las Vegas, NV – Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Champion “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce took a brief “vacation” in Las Vegas after being suspended by PWG Commissioner Paul T. for his part in a wild brawl during PWG’s March 27, 2004 event in Santa Ana, CA. Pearce had proclaimed that he’d show the wrestling world how a “champion is suppose to spend his free time” and even took a camera crew along to film some of the festivities. Without actually seeing the footage, credible sources at the scene allege that Pearce was seen kibitzing throughout Las Vegas sporting a snakeskin jacket and championship belt on several occasions. These same sources also allege that there is video documentation of Pearce’s exploits, and that some of these exploits may or may not involve at least one stripper, a mime, and possibly an unnamed Las Vegas transient. Rumors arising from members of Las Vegas’ hotel community link Pearce to the annual Cauliflower Alley Club wrestling convention on the night of April 17, which was held at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas. Coincidentally this event took place the same night as the PWG live event in California, which Pearce was suspended from. There are also reports surfacing of a supposed “Championship Training Video” that Pearce was supposed to have been preparing to shoot following the convention at an unnamed Las Vegas Hotel. Sources at the heart of the situation claim that Babi Slymm and former PWG Champion, Frankie Kazarian were spotted near this unnamed hotel in search of Adam Pearce, and may or may not have attempted to make contact with Pearce during the filming of his “Training Video”. A witness who elected to remain anonymous reported seeing an “athletic and sexy” Caucasian, standing approximately 6’2” tall and weighing about 240 pounds “romping down the hallway wildly screaming and wearing only his underwear”. She went on to state that the “athletic and sexy Caucasian” was closely followed by “a big black rapper guy” and “Antonio Banderas”. Representatives from those who supposedly have possession of video footage from Las Vegas have stated that they may or may not make it available for release via PWG DVD in the near future. Pearce was unavailable for comment, but was spotted today at his palatial San Diego summer home berating a group of small children that apparently asked him to help get their stranded kitten out from a tall tree. More news as it happens. " Sounds like funny stuff, hope that makes it on to the DVD. And oh speaking of PWG DVDs... Taste the Radness is now for sale at http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com/merch/ so umm buy it or something. It is American Dragon approved afterall...

PWG ''The Musical'' Comes To Town On April 17!

Show was very very good, among PWG's best ever. AD-Joe was an epic match. Not only the best Samoa Joe Vs. AD match ever but the best match in PWG History easy. Some insanly stiff strikes in this one I mean cringe worthy sickeningly stiff strikes. This match alone would be worth buying the dvd for. B-Boy Vs. Daniels was pretty damn amazing too. As was pretty much everything else.... ok well Hardkore Kidd Vs. LIT/Deranged wasn't that good but Teddy Hart's appearance made that match entertaining as hell. Def. pick this one up when it's released. They also announced PWG's next show would be on May 22nd with the following wrestlers set to appear: "M-Dogg-20, Josh Prohibition, Super Dragon, Bobby Quance, Tony Kozina, Scott Lost, Joey Ryan, Disco Machine, Excalibur, Hardkore Kidd, B-Boy, Ricky Reyes, PUMA, Ballard Brothers, Scorpio Sky, Chris Bosh, Charles Mercury, Top Gun Talwar and more" Plus according to Colt Cabana's site... he'll be back in PWG on July 10 (which should be the 1st anniversary show)
  23. Holly, At least they gave Bradshaw a new image instead of thinking people would buy a normal life long jobber as a title threat. Also it should be considered that horrible workers like Bradshaw/Holly make better heels in feuds than they do playing the face like Holly did. Ok, all I'm trying to say is I hate Bob Holly and the jury is still out on the Bradshaw feud.
