PWG ''Taste The Radness'' Feb 22 Santa Ana CA

Just got back from the show, here are some quick results: Puma over Charles Mercury Hardkore Kid over Babi Sylmm after Pearce interfeared Havana Pitbulls over Sal/Vito an excellent match Ballard over Joe by DQ after pretending to get hit by a chair. Very good match AXP/Bosh over SBS in a wild 6-man after top gun talwar turned on SBS. 5 on 5 Survivor series match AXP/Bosh/Mercury/Top Gun Vs. SBS/X-Foundation is set for march 7th AD over Quance in a fantastic mat based match X-Foundation over B-Boy/Homicide to win the belts Pearce over Frankie to win the belt in a brutal street fight after a frog splash on thumbtacks Paul T announced some japanese talent will appear on the next show: including Nosawa, Ebassan, Masada, Jeremy Lopez and some others I can't remember. EDIT: here's what's set for March 7th: Jeremy Lopez vs Puma Bobby Quance vs Tiger's Mask NOSAWA/Masada vs Havana Pitbulls Ebessan vs Kuishinbo Kamen SBS/Lost/Ryan Vs. AXP/Bosh/Mercury/Top Gun - survivor series rules Anyway, excellent show well worth a purchase when it comes out, ok now I'm off to watch my Tango and Cash DVDs!

PWG ''Taste The Radness'' Feb 22 Santa Ana CA

Ok, Since the show is this sunday, So I figured I'd SHILL PWG and bump this up and also give some thoughts and predictions! Now wouldn't that be fun? Puma vs. Charles Mercury Thoughts: They both wrestle similar styles so I think they will blend nicely and put on a fine lucha style match. Prediction: PUMA Havana Pitbulls vs. Thomaselli Brothers: Thoughts: Sal/ Vito were very impressive at the Tango and Cash Invitational and they should have their work cut out for them against the internationally renowned Havana Pitbulls, who are always awesome in there. I think this will be the sleeper match of the show and it will surprise alot of people. Prediction: Havana Pitbulls Samoa Joe vs. Shannon Ballard: Thoughts: Grudge match brought about after Samoa Joe knocked Ballard out at "Tango.." I don't think this will be a classic or anything but it should be alot of fun if the Ballards use heel tactics like the old twin mid-match switch off. Prediction: Samoa Joe over both Ballards. S.B.S (Super Dragon, Excalibur, Disco Machine) Vs. The AXP and Chris Bosh Thoughts: The AXP/Bosh's feud against the PWG owners continues in what should be an insanly wild crazy wildly insane crazy intense 6-man war that will be crazy. Prediction: AXP/Bosh pull the upset. American Dragon vs. Bobby Quance: Thoughts: If you know these workers this one more than speaks for itself. I can see this being similar to the great Danielson Vs. Paul London ROH matches only AD may know Quance even better than London since he played a part in training him. I really think this could be a MOTYC. Prediction: American Dragon B-Boy & Homicide Vs. X- Foundation (Joey Ryan/Scott Lost) Thoughts: A Dream match that should an outstanding match as both are great teams, heck the newly formed team of B-Boy and Homicide work better together than alot of seasoned tag teams. Should be one to remember... Prediction: B-Boy/Homicide (But I really wouldn't be surprised to see X-Foundation take this one) No DQ Come-As-You-Are Chicago Street Fight Frankie Kazarian © vs Adam Pearce Backstory: this has been building since the Bad Ass Mother 3000 where Pearce unjustly lost to Joey Ryan and has been on a quest for the gold ever since. First he avenged his loss to Joey Ryan to win the 1# contendership, Then he was screwed out of his title shott by Paul T. So Pearce then took matters into his own hands and jumped Kazarian after a match in Nov which lead a 6-man tag in Dec where Pearce pinned and injuried Frankie after a piledriver on the title belt.. then Pearce layed down the challenge for a title match on Jan. 24th. In which Frankie proved himself to truly be the coolest man on earth by being the first wrestler in history to ever wrestle to a 20 minute time limit draw in only 16'19 (now that's cool!) but a draw wasn't good enough for Pearce who was still hungry for the gold. So after Frankie again sucussfully defended the belt against M-Dogg, Babi Slymm and Jonny Storm, Pearce ran out and brutalized Frankie as if he were a cop arresting Michael Jackson and then piledrove Frankie off the apron through a table! So the stage has been set Feb. 22, Adam Pearce Vs. Frankie Kazarian in a Street Fight for the PWG Title! Now that's drama!! Prediction: Adam Pearce finally takes home the gold. So there you go, should be an outstanding show top to bottom. So if in the area make an effort to check this out live as PWG live shows are always a blast. You never who Super Dragon may attack next!! It could be you!! If not if the area.. then go to http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com/index2.html and buy one of PWG's many excellent DVD releases including the highly acclaimed "TANGO & CASH INVITATIONAL" tag tournament featuring Chris Hero, Messiah, American Dragon, Homicide, CM Punk, Chris Daniels, Havana Pitbulls, Samoa Joe, Jonny Storm and all the PWG regulars. Other PWG news: It's been annouced that PWG will be running not 1 not 3 not 4 not 7 not 24 but TWO WHOLE SHOWS NEXT MONTH! on March 7th and 27th so make your travel arrangments now!

    March CZW Lineups

They turned on Jon Dahmer at "Street Fight 2k4" and started teaming at the last show. Decent team I think they have alot of potental...

Teddy Hart Coming to ROH on 3/13!

I think this is a work, I mean it's gotta be right? It would make sense... Gabe never actually said it wasn't a work right? I think it's either a work or Teddy truly is the most insane man in wrestling
  8. The wrestling stuff was alot of fun. Samoa Joe, Punk and Hardkore Inc. were pretty damn funny as actors. Also cool to see guys like Babi Slymm, Phoenix Star, Quicksilver, AWC and others on National TV for a few seconds

    Zandig Officially Out of Ideas

Look who else he is bringing in (ROH fans will love this one) "CZW has negotiated a deal that will bring the controversial Teddy Hart to CZW. He will make his debut in Allentown with future appearances being negotiated. What type of impact will this 3rd-generation superstar have on CZW...SATURDAY, MARCH 5, 2004...MOUNTAINVILLE CENTER...FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF! GET YOUR F'N TICKETS!" Yep, Teddy Hart in CZW.... I personally think it's an interesting idea.

    News on Tommy Dreamer

Beulah is pregnant eh? I've heard that one before...sure she isn't faking it again to get away from Raven again? Anyway, Good for Dreamer. But the sad thing is if/when the WWE fires him he'll have to provide for his wife and newborn kids on an Indy wrestler's salary. Hope everything works out for him (though it's hard to feel bad for anyone married to Beulah)

    Zach Gowan Working Tonight For...

Boo! That about sums up my feelings on this matter, I think it's a waste of money and space.

ROH DVDs to be in stores?

Good, I never got around to buying any ROH on DVD.. so I'll buy whatever they put out. Anyway, I think this is a good move by CZW/ROH, As It'll give normal fans a place to buy the material and introduce them to all the great talent involved. Really, anything to help build the CZW/ROH brand names can only be beneficial in the long run.

    MLW FOLDS

It's not necessarily due to his gloating over this, I just have always disliked RF's attitude and think RF getting hit by a bus full of his own bootlegged poor VQ tapes would be hilarious comic irony.
  14. PsychoDriver

    MLW FOLDS

I hope Feinstein gets hit by a bus... several times. Anyway, everyone had to know this was going to happen but it is surprising to see it happen so soon. I'm going to miss actually having a decent wrestling show on TV for once and seeing great workers like Hero, B-Boy, SD, AD, Sonjay, Quance, Havana Pitbulls, Homicide ETC

    CZW 5th Anniversary results

Didn't his brother just die as well? That sucks these must be very tough times for Messiah. Any word on how good the Joey Ryan and Excalibur matches were?
  16. PsychoDriver

    MLW going down already?

Hmm that can't be good... what matches were set for 2/14? That was supposed to be the 43rd and 1/4 annual Terry Funk retirement show or something wasn't it? But well that "Battle Riot" thing sounds like it could either be alot of fun or terrible. Hopefully it turns out well...

    Backseat Boys gone from CZW

I'd have to agree with Barber on XPW being huge and well infamous in and out of SoCal even before the philly invasion. I saw XPW grow alot first hand by following them on TV and by attending alot of their shows since 2000. Believe me they had (and still have) alot of die hard fans who really loved the product for whatever reasons. Heck I still think XPW is better known than CZW/ROH/PWG/IWA:MS/MLW etc as they were great at getting VHS/DVDs released on a national level (go to any big video store and look for wrestling, you will see mainly just XPW/WWE videos, that goes a long way with normal non-smark wrestling fans who probably think ROH is a motor oil) Like him or not, Rob Black was a true master at getting people's attention. No matter what means he used XPW always found a way to push peoples buttons and get a reaction, but more importantly keep people talking about them. That is what made XPW huge and is why people still talk about that "crappy promotion" a year after it's death Anyway back to the topic... somehow I have a feeling the Backseats will be back in CZW before long (like maybe by May or so)

    Backseat Boys gone from CZW

Wow, so it is true... that's horrible they were a major (and I do mean major) part of what made CZW so fun. Trent was like CZW's franchise... I don't know what CZW will do now.

    RIP Mystery Science Theater 3000

that sucks, MST3K is about my favorite TV show of all time, it perfectly combined my love for old b-movies movies and great comedy. It is truly sad to hear that MST3k will never be seen on TV ever again. That's a damn shame... So a big "screw you" goes out to Sci-Fi and Comedy Central for taking this away from us.

    MLW Underground TV

It helps me, I only get MLW on Fox Sports and am glad to hear it's back on.

    Album of Albums

I always liked the first album. But I never really cared much for anything after it.

    CZW 5th Anniversary Show

According to him, he'll still work PWG shows. I hope not, losing Super Dragon full time would really hurt SoCal. But hopefully he does catch on with ROH and makes East Coast appearances on a regular basis as he could have some great potental matches with some of the wrestlers out there.

    CZW 5th Anniversary Show

Just a random CZW note somewhat related to this show: Expect to see more of Excalibur in CZW as word has it he is moving to Philly. I really hope he does become a regular in CZW, I think he can do wonders for the promotion.

    DVD Releases

I'll probably buy Gilligan's Island and Planet of the Apes.
  25. Shilling time.... Press Release taken from SoCalUncensored.com: "Silverback, PWG Staff Writer Goleta, California - Due to one of the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com) owners involvement with the Palestine Liberation Organization, PWG was asked to leave the Westside Jewish Community Center following the completion of our last show in December of 2003. While PWG felt this was highly unfair, Joey Ryan's Invisible Legal Counsel advised that PWG just give up, and move for a change of venue. Thus, PWG is happy to announce that the first ever "Tango & Cash Invitational" will be taking place Saturday Night, January 24, and Sunday Night, January 25 at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge, in Santa Ana, California! The Buddy Movie, without a doubt, is the most important type of film that can be made, with over 200 buddy films made per year. However, Hollywood is slowly eroding the Buddy Movie into mindless tripe. The Tag Team Match, much like the buddy movie, have lost importance recently, and PWG would like to refocus attention back to the gentle art of the Tag Team Buddy Movie Match! In the first tournament of 2004 anywhere in the entire universe, PWG is proud to announce the "Tango & Cash Invitational," which will crown the first ever Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Tag Team Champions, and the best buddy movie ever made! The tournament matches for Night 1 (Saturday, January 24) are: The Action/Adventure Bracket • "Cheech & Chong's The Corsican Brothers" Phoenix Star & Zokre vs. "Batman & Robin" Chris Bosh & Quicksilver • "Dumb & Dumber" Scott Lost & Joey Ryan vs. "Sidekicks" MDogg 20 & Jardi Frantz • "Turner & Hooch" Rocky Romero & Ricky Reyes vs. "Castaway" Hardkore Kidd & Al Katrazz • "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein" Jonny Storm & Excalibur vs. "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey" American Dragon & Super Dragon The Comedy/Drama Bracket • "Twins" Shannon & Shane Ballard vs. "Lilo & Stitch" Samoa Joe & Puma • "Friday" B-Boy & Homicide vs. "Shanghai Knights" Disco Machine & Rising Son • "Blues Brothers 2000" Vito & Sal Thomaselli vs. "48 Hours" Apollo Kahn & Sara Del Rey • "We're No Angels" Christopher Daniels & Messiah vs. "City Slickers 2: The Legend Of Curly's Gold" CM Punk & Chris Hero PWG Championship Title Match "The Future" Frankie Kazarian (Champion) vs. "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce (with C. Edward Vanderpyle) Night 2 (Sunday, January 25) will feature the Quarterfinals, Semi-Finals, and Finals of the "Tango & Cash Invitational" tournament, along with a Title Defense by either Frankie Kazarian or Adam Pearce! Please note that along with the change of venue (Santa Ana Elks Lodge, 212 S. Elk Lane, Santa Ana, CA 92701) Night 1 of the Tournament (Saturday, January 24) now has a 7:30PM bell time, with doors opening at 7:00PM. Night 2 of the Tournament (Sunday, January 25) has a 5:00PM bell time, with doors at 4:30PM. Tickets for each night are $20.00, and can be purchased at the door. However, since PWG loves the fans as much as Buddy Movies, we are happy to announce that a special 2-Night Ticket will be available for the low price of only $30! That's a $10 savings you can use toward PWG merchandise! Did I hear someone mention PWG merchandise?! PWG's latest DVD, "Pimpin' In High Places" is currently available online at http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com, and will be available at wrestling events across Southern California, including PWG's "Tango & Cash Invitational"! The "Pimpin' In High Places" DVD features the entire show, uncut, with commentary by Disco Machine & Excalibur, and their special guest, The Biggest Man In Pro Wrestling, none other than TARO! "Pimpin' In High Places" is only $19.99 (plus $3.95 domestic shipping & handling/$9 for international orders.) "Tango & Cash Invitational - Night 1" takes place Saturday, January 24, 2004 at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge, at 7:30PM. "Tango & Cash Invitational - Night 2" takes place Sunday, January 25, 2004 at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge, at 5:00PM. The Santa Ana Elks Lodge is located at 212 S. Elk Lane, Santa Ana, CA 92701. Tickets are $20 per night, or $30 for both nights, and are available online at http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com, or by mail (PWG Tickets, PO Box 1527, Temple City, CA 91780. Certified checks or money orders only, please.) For more information, please visit http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com or email [email protected]. " IMO, these could be the greatest wrestling shows in recent memory. Should be On par or far better with anything being done anywhere else. Night 2 could be really mind blowing. I never want to hear "There is no good wrestling in CA" again Here are my predictions and thoughts Night 1: The Action/Adventure Bracket Phoenix Star & Zokre vs. Chris Bosh & Quicksilver Thoughts: Will be a great lucha style match as these RevPro students work very well together, Phoenix Star Star and Quicksilver had a very entertaining match at Rev J 2003 (which is available to download at www.ClickWrestle.com) but one wonders where Quicksilver's partner in the 2003 SoCal team of the year AXP Scorpio Sky is? Prediction: Bosh/Silver easy. Scott Lost & Joey Ryan vs. M-Dogg 20 & Jardi Frantz Thoughts: Should be a good match, odd though since MD20/Jardi turned on each other last show. Still look for a good match from these teams... Prediction: X-Foundation Rocky Romero & Ricky Reyes vs. Hardkore Kidd & Al Katrazz Thoughts: Havana Pitbulls are always great but If Hardkore Inc are hiyt and miss. If HKI are on top of their game this will be outstanding.. or not I just hope it ends quickly. Prediction: Havana Pitbulls Jonny Storm & Excalibur vs. American Dragon & Super Dragon Thoughts:Odd match in terms of PWG's storylines as SD/Excalibur are apart of the infamous Team Chismo stable but SD and Excalibur work very well together in the ring and have had many excellent matches in RevPro/APW in the past. As for American Dragon? he could carry a frozen chicken to at least a 3 star match, and the UK's Jonny Storm? having only seen his US work I think he is hit and miss but is very capable against the right worker and should do well here against two of the best. Prediction: Super Dragon/American Dragon The Comedy/Drama Bracket Shannon & Shane Ballard vs. Samoa Joe & Puma Thoughts: These man all know each other well from UPW, and while the Joe/Puma team is odd on paper they should blend together nicely and have a good match here with the expericenced Ballard Brothers. Prediction: Samoa Joe/Puma B-Boy & Homicide vs. Disco Machine & Rising Son Thoughts: The unique dream team of B-Boy/Homicide taking on 2/3 of RevPro's "Aggressive Thrill Attraction" stable Rising Son and Disco Machine. Now Disco/Rising are good but look for B-Boy/Homicide to dish out a major ass kicking here. Prediction: B-Boy/Homicide Vito & Sal Thomaselli vs. Apollo Kahn & Sara Del Rey Thoughts: They all know each other very well from PWI in NorCal so it should be solid. Thomaselli brothers have alot of potental. Prediction: Thomaselli Brothers Christopher Daniels & Messiah vs. CM Punk & Chris Hero Thoughts: Dream match that should be alot of fun, Don't overlook Messiah here as he will more then hold this own here. This should be the match the first night no doubt. Prediction: Hero and Punk Non Tourney PWG title match Adam Pearce Vs. Frankie Kazarian Backstory: this has been building since the Bad Ass Mother 3000 where Pearce unjustly had lost to Joey Ryan and has been on a quest for the gold ever since. First defeating Joey Ryan in a rematch to win the 1# contendership then being screwed out of that by Paul T. So Pearce took matters into his own hands and jumped Kazarian after a match in Nov which lead a 6-man tag in Dec where Pearce pinned Kazarian and injuried him after a piledriver on the title belt.. then layed down the challenge for a title match which will finally take place Jan. 24th. Prediction: Frankie Kazarian (I don't see the superpush ending just yet) Thoughts on the possible night 2: Quarter finals: Chris Bosh/Quicksilver Vs. X-Foundation Thoughts: Should blend nicely and continue the AXP Vs. PWG feud Prediction: X-Foundation Havana Pitbulls Vs. SD/AD Thoughts: I can't explain how intense this match could be. It will be one to remember and just may steal the whole show Prediction: AD/SD Samoa Joe/Puma Vs. B-Boy/Homicide Thoughts: Could be a great great match, Joe and Homicide each other well as do PUMA and B-Boy. Plus imagine B-Boy hooking it up with Samoa Joe. Could be the sleeper match of the event Prediction: B-Boy/Homicide Iron Saints Vs. Punk/Hero Thoughts: Should be good and a nice test for Punk and Hero. Prediction: Punk/Hero will kill them Semi Finals: X-Foundation Vs. SD/AD Thoughts: Another link in the chain that is the SD/Ryan feud, SD works very well with both of them and I think AD works well with everyone. Imagine the great X-Foundation Vs. Chismo match from APW-LA last summer only replace Excalibur with American F'n Dragon.... could be a classic. Prediction: X-Foundation pull a huge upset B-Boy/Homicide Vs. Punk/Hero Thoughts: Umm, Do I need to hype this? if happens it will be beyond words as we have already seen how well each of these guys work with each other in the past. Prediction: B-Boy/Homicide FINALS: X-Foundation Vs. B-Boy/Homicide Thoughts: Most everyone else is predicting a B-Boy/Homicide Vs. SD/AD final which I would love to see as well, that would be.. maybe the match of the year anywhere in 2004. But I see it turning out this way because AD, Homicide, B-Boy all have major commitments elsewhere and I don't see one of them co-holding the PWG Tag Title. Prediction: Tough call but I think the Foundation are taking this one, a steady SoCal team needs the win here and Lost/Ryan are just the team Plus a night 2 title defense from Frankie or Pearce and maybe a match with the night 1 losers which is anyones guess really. So if you live anywhere near Santa Ana CA and even have a passing interest in wrestling ATTEND THESE SHOWS!! bring friends! bring enemies! Find people off the street and bring them!!! Hey why Not? Here are 7 popular excuses for not attending and the solutions to them: Popular Excuse #1: "Day 2 is running directly against the Royal Rumble PPV" Solution: Who cares? So you miss the sure fire ***** Brock Vs. Bob Holly classic. really just order the replay or wait for the DVD if you care so much. Excuse 2: "I'm in jail" Solution: Break out Excuse 3: "I live in [Fill place here]" Solution: Fly!, Hitchhike, Take a Bus, and hey a little walking never killed ya! Excuse 4: "Is there a chance the track could bend?" Solution: Not a chance my hindu friend Excuse 5: "Tickets aren't available at the door" Solution: No longer true... PWG cleared that up. Tickets will be available at the door Excuse 6: "The card doesn't look that great" Solution: You're an idiot.. or blind (hmm or a rare blind idiot). Excuse 7: It's running against the LA finale of the broadway hit musical “Chicago” starring PATRICK SWAYZE Solution: Got me there...
