Greatest ECW Champion
PsychoDriver replied to A Guy Who Injects Heroin Into Kids' Eyes's topic in General Wrestling
I'd say RAVEN. Though I also liked Justin Credible's reign... even if no one else did... -
Damn, I just got back from a Walgreens and all I could find was "Stone Cold Steve Austin: What?" which I got because the 2 extra matches are great. Hopefully I'll do better at the next store I check... "Hulk Still Rules" will make a great christmas gift.

Yes, Actually where I live, I've seen adults dress far far worst....
-
I think these toys are damn funny really. What a message to send to small children about life... Anyway, for some reason I was in Toys R' Us a few days ago and I saw one of the toys... that was the most gay thing I've seen in my life (and I don't like calling things "Gay" either but this toy was flaming gay) Take a look: This is supposed to be a male doll named "Liam" I first thought these dolls were supposed to be gang members but no gang would accept a dude like that. WTF is with these negative messages they are sending to children? You should act like a kid when you are a kid... you have enough time in life to be an adult.

Space Ghost Vol. 1 Guns N' Roses: Welcome to The Videos Son of Frankenstein/Ghost of Frankenstein (damn you Ebay!) Any good Horror movie I don't have. And any of these Box Sets: MST3K Twilight Zone The Monkees The Old Outer Limits shows Three Stooges Sanford and Son

Yeah, he did. Taro also ripped off a part of SD's mask... just a great great with great crowd heat. As for the rest of the show, I'll give my thoughts... First two matches were "Blah" but not that good. the Rudos Dojo Battle Royal was alot of fun for a students match (better than any CZW students matches) AWC, Topgun Talwar, & Babi Slymm Vs. Chris Bosh, Quicksilver, & Phoenix Star : Was good, Babi Slymm was bumping around Quicksilver like crazy. Also it had Disco Machine turn on AMW and side with Rising Son Shamu Jr. over Piloto Suicida to retain the Mexican Lucha Libre Heavyweight title [5'33] : To tell the truth I didn't pay much attention to this... but It appeared to be fairly good. Damian 666 & Halloween over Angel & Zokre to retain the Rev Pro Tag-Team titles [13'15] I liked this... but didn't think Angel/Zokre worked as a tag team. Scorpio Sky over Rising Son to retain the Rev Pro Junior title [5'04] Huge Letdown for me. This match had almost a year in build up and I think Rising Son gets knocked out or something and it's ends early. Super Dragon over TARO by TKO to win TARO's mask [27'17] -Post match TARO unmasks and announces he is Kevin Lyon from New York. This more than made up for the undercard. And was amazing as I said earlier and probably had 100% crowd support behind it. Overall... get it for the main event or wait and see if Super Dragon puts it on one of his upcoming "Evolution" releases (Which I think he will because I saw Excalibur filming it)

He disapeared directly after the show where Justin won the belt and Francine joined him.

Has anyone else done this?
PsychoDriver replied to Masked Man of Mystery's topic in General Wrestling
When I watched the tape where CM Punk debuted in CZW I really marked for him despite not having a damn clue who he was at the time. -
Yes, SD won after damn near killing poor Taro (who kicked out of nearly everything including a 2nd Rope Psycho Driver and what I can only call an "Unprotected" Psycho Driver) TARO unmasked (sorta looked like Steve Buscemi) and announced he would retire after one more match on Dec. 20th. Sad to see him leave wrestling... but what a way to go out.

USA Pro celebrates the "End of an Era"
PsychoDriver replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Yeah, Raven-Snow going 47 mins sounds a little off.... sure it wasn't a typo? -
What were the reviews on SD Vs. Taro from that show? Anywhere near as good as their recent RevPro matches? (Including the brutal classic Mask Vs. Mask match they just had last night)

I read that the "usatoday" code lasts untill 12-5. So it'll work on the Alien Boxset. Sure beats paying 74.99 + Tax at Best Buy.
-
Check DVDpricesearch.com You'll find it cheaper online. I hear if you preorder it at Amazon.com it's just $69.99. Cool, I did do some looking it to it and found this: If you order it (once it's in stock) at http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com and use the coupon code "usatoday" or "dvdtalk" you will get 20% which would make it around $58 could also do this with anyother DVD including the Ric Flair DVD which would come to about $16 something. Now I can buy both those for the same price as just the Alien Boxset. It does pay to search around...
-
I'll be buying just the Alien Quadrilogy. As that alone will take up all my DVD buying money.
-
Wow, they drew 10,000 fans with Family Oriented wrestling? What is there nothing else to do in that area or something?

Pitchfork's revised 100 Best Albums of the 90's.
PsychoDriver replied to Edwin MacPhisto's topic in Music
I've heard of and like alot of that stuff... but I still don't agree with that list. -
Bob Holly, Nathan Jones, Matt Morgan, Hardcore Holly, Orlando Jordan, Cade, Jindrak, Thurman "Sparky" Plugg, The APA, Bob "Spark Plug" Holly, Big Show, Randy Orton, Any McMahon.. um "Bombastic" Bob Holly... Come on, Dreamer really isn't that bad... He gets the job done at least.
-
Good card, I've been wanting to see Rising Son Vs. Scorpio Sky since this whole thing started in Feb. Very excellently built up match.. But I still can't fathom SD Vs. TARO - Mask Vs. Mask, I can't imagine one of them wrestling without the mask.. this should be very interesting.

They never put NWO 2001 on DVD for some reason. -

Taken from SoCalUncensored.com: "PWG Presents "Pimpin' In High Places" Saturday, December 13! By Silverback, PWG Staff Writer Calexico, California - Facing fierce competition from the National Microwave Retailer's Convention in Burbank, CA, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's (http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com) "An Inch Longer Than Average!" was a huge success, showing once and for all that pro-wrestling Gorillas are far more popular than Microwave Ovens. Due to this popularity, the National Microwave Retailer have offered to completely fund PWG's next event, "Pimpin' In High Places" Saturday, December 13, 2003 at the Westside Jewish Community Center in Los Angeles, CA! PWG's next event will feature: Phoenix Star vs. Zokre vs. Lil' Cholo In a rivalry dating back to the conquest of Tenochtitlan, Phoenix Star and Zokre have actually been fighting in one form or another for centuries now! First meeting in the ring in 1519 AD during the Spanish Conquest of Mexico, Zokre emerged victorious in that encounter, which has lead to many epic battles over the last near-500 years! With the series tied 134-134, Zokre is determined to win this rubber match for the pride of the Mexican people of Spanish descent! However, channeling the spirit of Quetzacoatl, Phoenix Star has vowed victory for the pride of the Indigenous Mexican People! But wait, what of the Nuevo-Latinos? Will no one step forward to represent them? Yes! Someone will! And that someone is Lil' Cholo, who stepped forward to fight for the rights of the common hombre! This match is no longer hot, it is now ESPICY! Who will be the victor? Archeologist, Historians, and Mexicans all over the world are clamoring to find out! Jardi Frantz & MDogg 20 vs. Ballard Brothers (Shane & Shannon Ballard) Much like the way the Palestinians and Israeli's learned to put their differences aside and work for the common good, so have Jardi Frantz and MDogg 20! Due to injuries sustained to partner Josh Prohibition, MDogg 20 was without a partner coming in to "Pimpin' In High Places," and he needed someone good to fend off the cold, calculated, Canadian Threat brought South by the Ballard Brothers! After defeating Jardi Frantz at "An Inch Longer Than Average," MDogg 20 commented on how Jardi would make an excellent member of the KISS Army, if only he could give up his "hippy ways." We all know the Ballards can coexist inside a wrestling ring, but can MDogg and Jardi? Hair vs. Hair Match: Chris Bosh vs. Excalibur In a feud that has been brewing since PWG's debut show, Chris Bosh and Excalibur are the macaroni noodles in a pot, nearly boiling over, threatening to spill onto the burner and fill the Westside JCC with the stench of burned food, and hatred, too!! At "An Inch Longer Than Average!", Chris Bosh was special guest referee in Excalibur's match, and despite promising to call it "right down the middle," Excalibur failed to see it that way! With the pot mere seconds from boiling over, Excalibur poured in the cheese with the water still in there, by challenging Bosh to a Hair vs. Hair match! Stupid Excalibur! Everyone knows the cheese doesn't go in till the noodles are drained, but he just couldn't wait! Bosh! Excalibur! Macaroni! Cheese! Hair! Aerial Express (Quicksilver & Scorpio Sky) vs. Havana Pitbulls (Ricky Reyes & Rocky Romero) Have you ever gone on vacation, only to return home and find that young ruffians have overtaken your house, putting their feet all over your coffee table, and putting drinks on that very same coffee table without coasters? DVD's taken out of the case and left in piles on top of the TV to collect dust, dishes and cups used and not washed, left in a festering mess in the sink? When the Pitbulls left for Mexico, they thought their house was in order, and did not expect the Aerial Express to break in and throw wild parties while the Pitbulls were away! The first step toward cleaning up their house is evicting the vagrants, and that's exactly what the Havana Pitbulls plan to do to the AXP come December 13! Samoa Joe vs. BJ Whitmer After his victory at "An Inch Longer Than Average!", Samoa Joe claimed he was going to grab a bite to eat, but little did anyone know Joe planned on traveling 3,000 miles to Japan in order to get the best American Hamburger money can buy! However, Joe's trip was cut short when he received a phone call from fellow Independent Wrestler BJ Whitmer, claiming he (Joe) "don't know shit" about hamburgers, and if Joe didn't take it back, Whitmer would make him! One might question how BJ Whitmer heard Joe's comments mere minutes after they were made, especially since the interview is on a DVD yet to be released. One might also question why two athletes of Joe & Whitmer's calibre would be fighting over something as trvial as a Hamburger, but one would be foolish to do so! Frankie Kazarian/CM Punk/Joey Ryan vs. Colt Cabana/Adam Pearce/Super Dragon In 1812 when Napoleon invaded Russia, he never expected to set foot in Moscow, but brought along and impressive army just in case. Along the road to Moscow, there was terrible fighting, villages were razed, and many lives were lost. While no villages have been razed in this Franco-Russian invasion led by Adam Pearce, everything else has taken place, and more! At first, Pearce was intent on weakening Frankie Kazarian with the help of his allies Colt Cabana, CM Punk and Super Dragon! A vicious beating seemed to be in order, however, CM Punk is a champion not of PWG, but of the downtrodden and drug free, and could not participate in the desecration of the drug-free PWG Championship! Fighting along Kazarian & Punk's side is "The Technical Wizard" Joey Ryan, who will repel the invaders with his patented "dark arts of the mat!" With the brute force of Cabana/Pearce/Dragon prevail, or will the flash and substance of Kazarian/Punk/Ryan be too much of a Siberian Winter Adventure for these unscrupulous French invaders?! "Pimpin' In High Places" takes place Saturday, December 13, 2003, at the Westside Jewish Community Center, at 8:00PM. The Westside Jewish Community Center is located at 5870 West Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90036. Tickets are $18, available online at http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com, at the Alternative Wrestling Shop, or by mail (PWG Tickets, PO Box 1527, Temple City, CA 91780. Certified checks or money orders only, please.) For more information, please visit http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com or email [email protected]." Another great PWG card, this company just keeps getting better and better... Also it's been announced that PWG will be having a 2-day 16 Team Tag Tourney in Jan. to crown the first PWG Tag Champs which sounds very very cool. I can't remember the last time their was a tag tourney that big... Anyway, So if in the area.. CHECK THIS OUT LIVE!! if not do yourself a favor and buy a DVD from http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com or a VHS from Smartmarkvideo.com! My shilling is now done...

Umm, What happened to the Foley DVD? I don't see it listed.
-
Crap, That's right... I have to go buy those before that damn "after Thanksgiving rush" starts (to me it's not worth going thru a crowded store and waiting 40 or so minutes on a line to save a few bucks) Anyway, looks like a good sale... they should do that more often.

Good review, I really liked this show. CM Punk really stole the show in many different ways and Homicide/Joe is awesome.
