Why did he kill himself? Seriously, It won't be hard to replace the guy who played Sloth. It's never hard to replace characters in heavy make up. It's like the later Universal Frankenstein movies, who ever fits the costume gets the role. Oh and BTW Chunk was the best Goonie IMO.

That is good news, looks like I'll be picking up a few of those.

Good, that show was awesome.. SD/B-Boy Vs. The Briscoes was very very good. I hope just you are kinder to Excalibur's commentary this time. On the "Best of Messiah" review, you kinda unjustly IMO tore the poor guy up. Ouch, Hope you give him a chance this time and keep in mind the commentary isn't meant to be serious.

That's good to hear, Steve knows his stuff. Looking forward to reading SoCal reviews... Anyway good review, I liked that it was aimed at Non-CZW fans.
-
Here is his pic: Can he really be THAT good? I'm sure he's at least decent but alot of others deserve the nomination more.

Good match on paper, but it's WWE TV so I don't expect much from it. Seeing that it's only 6 minutes and has been called "Subpar" in reports. Too bad though, it could have been one to remember if given enough time.

I've been hearing this is for awhile now. I'm a huge Goonies mark and even though It may suck but it sounds just interesting enough to work. Hey why not?

Warzone was more of a dissapointment then Attitude. Mainly because you had no clue what Warzone was like. It sounded so great (especially after all those Arcade Style games that came before it) and was the first WWF game to come out in a long time. Plus previews and reviews were saying "Best Wrestling Game ever" Then after a long wait. You find the game horribly confusing, outdated, flawed and just plain bad. YOU COULDN'T PICK YOUR OPPONENT yet they had "Burb and Fart" mode! At least you knew what attitude was (or wasn't) like. Actually, I say the Acclaim ECW games are much bigger letdowns than Attitude.

I know he's a wrestler that posts on the EWR boards. So I'm guessing he posts on RSPW as well and nominated himself. BTW, These nominations really blow. No SoCal Workers like B-Boy or Super Dragon are even listed.

WWF Warzone, They hyped it as the greatest wrestling game ever. They made you wait for it too (I think abit over a year from announcement to release) And man did it suck, total letdown.

Gay people seem to like Judy Garland alot and of course she played Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz.

This has been a terrible year in terms of celebrity deaths. RIP

Can't think of anything that could touch a Zeus Vs. Giant Gonzalez match.
-
I think he was having contract problems during that time or something.

Overated: Anything from The Attitude era 98-99. That stuff doesn't hold up at all.

I really liked Survivor Series 1990. I liked the idea of the winners all moving on to a final match. Plus it had the debut of The Undertaker and umm the worst payoff to a surprise ever, Gobbledy Gooker! Ultimate Warrior, Kerry Von Erich, and The Legion of Doom (Hawk and Animal) (Ultimate Warriors) Vs. Mr. Perfect, Demolition Axe, Smash, and Crush (The Perfect Team) ( Ted DiBiase, The Undertaker, Honkytonk Man, and Greg Valentine (The Million Dollar Team) Vs. Dusty Rhodes, Koko B. Ware, and The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart) (The Dream Team) Rick Martel, Warlord, Hercules, and Paul Roma (The Visionaries) Vs. Jake Roberts, Jimmy Snuka, and The Rockers (Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels) (The Vipers) Hulk Hogan, Jim Duggan, Big Boss Man, and Tugboat (The Hulkamaniacs) Vs. Earthquake, Haku, Dino Bravo, and The Barbarian (The Natural Disasters) Nikolai Volkoff, Tito Santana, and The Bushwhackers (Luke Williams and Butch Miller) (The Alliance) Vs. Sgt Slaughter, Boris Zuhkov, and The Orient Express (Sato and Tanaka) (The Mercenaries) (Ultimate Elimination Match):Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, and Tito Santana Vs. Ted DiBiase, Rick Martel, Warlord, Hercules, and Paul Roma

The One and Only Smackdown! HCTP Thread

It should be on the options page before the match. You can change the time limit to 20 or 30. Actually, I don't think you can change the time limit for an iron man match. It's stuck on 10 mins. and that really sucks. -
Good stuff, I can't wait for this DVD...
-
I'd second that, Thanks for everything Mondo.

Also, alot Shane Helms' matches in early 2001 WCW, like that crusierweight gauntlet from Thunder. Helms had alot of awesome matches in that time peroid, I wish he could be that good again. The Hurricane Gimmick is holding him down

The One and Only Smackdown! HCTP Thread

So it is the machine? People on other boards I've read {Gasp} GameFaqs, IGN {Gasp} say it may have something to do with CAWs in Season with coat for entrance gear, a dusty PS2 or both. Either of those could be the case for me, As my Super Dragon CAW I used in season had a coat on and my PS2 may be kinda dusty because I travel with it alot and there was alot of dusty stuff in the air from the recent CA fires not to far from me. Only thing I can think of I guess my only solution is to get a replacement PS2, which won't cost me anything because I have I replacement thing from Circuit City. Still an unneeded hassle since my PS2 is still new.... Suprised more people haven't experienced this crap. -

You have to counter a move outside of the ring... and it you are facing the glass you will slingshot them in to the glass. -
None of them are really loaded with promos. Each have only a few IIRC. So I'd go with Vol. 1. It's longer

The point of this thread. I'm guessing is that most of the top indy workers in the US have ROH as their top Indy commitment. Which leads to other companies having to work around them which could seen as some form of a monopoly.
-
As I said on the CZWBoard: Appears that way. ROH seems to have first dibs on alot of talent and every other company that uses common talent (on either coast) always books around ROH's shows. So it seems most ROH wrestlers view ROH bookings as a their main US priority and everything else is secondary Which leads to these big indy days like Nov. 15th and Dec. 13 that each have multi big promotions running using select ROH regulars. It really does appear that ROH is taking over...
