    Some exclusive Tna News !!

Uh...what? At One Night Stand, Bubba looked to be about 30 pounds lighter than he is now, and a hell of a lot more solid. He was wearing a tank top for gawd's sake, and it didn't look awful. Since then, he's put on lots of weight. He's not back up where he was when he was in ECW, but he was in much better shape at ONS than he is now. And as far as this so called "news" goes...only an idiot like Dave O'Neill (who is NOT Desperate Housewife...HONESTLY) would believe this crap. It's unsubstantiated and not being reported by anybody credible.

Shannon Moore is back with WWE !!

Exactly. He was nothing notable in the ring, and he looked like a freaking idiot. Let the WWE HAVE him. I was HAPPY when I heard this because it means I don't have to look at Moore anymore. I'd be way more upset if the WWE signed Dutt, Shark Boy, or Norman Smiley.

The Border Patrol are Mike Modest and Donavan Morgan, ex of APW, Pro Wrestling Iron, and NOAH. They used to be HUGE, overly muscular. Watch Beyond The Mat to see a roided up Mike Modest. Now, they're flabby and have man boobs. Say hello to what happens when you stop doing roids.

    Foley Is Blog: Cheap heat?

I used to love Mick Foley. I wasn't any bandwagon jumper either. I followed Foley during his first WCW run...when I saw Sting kick his ass during his infamous "sit down" strike. I loved his Tag Team with Max Pain, and actually paid real money for Spring Stampede 1994 to see the Street Fight with the Nasty Boys. Being a fan of both ECW and IWA/FMW I followed him after WCW. King of the Death Match was the first Japanese Tape I ever bought. I was thrilled when he came to the WWF as Mankind, loved the feud with Taker, and was there watching for his career peak in 1997-2000. I own an autographed first addition of "Have A Nice Day." I wasn't upset when he came out of retirement at WM2000 to be in the Main Event. I own "The Three Faces of Foley" "Hard Knocks and Cheap Pops" and "Greatest Hits and Misses." I've paid a great deal of money to see his DVD's and tapes, get his books, and see him live. Around the time "Foley is Good" came out, I started to get a little tired of Mick. His bitching about all sorts of things in that book, and the fact that it was half sermon defending Vince McMahon, and half attempt to make money from the people who bought Have A Nice Day bugged me. The fact that he constantly refers to his fans as losers who have no life and no girlfriend started to bug me. My wife is plenty hot, thanks Mick...and she liked you too. Then he started showing up everytime he had something to pimp. He wrote two or three new books, and there he was on WWE television pimping them. He came back to fight Randy Orton...somebody who I thought didn't deserve half the rub that Foley gave him. He started to look less and less like the Hardcore Legend and more and more like the cheap shill that he is. When he turned down a chance to help TNA, and went back to Vince, even though he was sick about the WWE direction, that sealed it for me. The man wasn't getting another dime from me. He's already a zillionaire, his constant greed was getting under my skin. I felt like he needed to shut the fuck up and go away. I felt he was turning into a bloated pimp who looked nothing like the man who won the King of the Death Match, cut the "Cane Dewey" promo, or even who fought Triple H at Madison Square Garden twice. I heard he was planning on fighting at WM this year, and for the first time as a one time Foley fan, I didn't give a shit. Then I read this on WWE.com. He might be a greedy pimp and a shill, but it's nice to know he still has morals and will stand up for them. Thanks again, Mick.

    Moderator change.

HTQ is like Chris Coey...minus intelligence and talent. Hell, this is the dork with PMS who got into a fight with somebody at NMB, so he went to all the trouble to go through every one of his old posts and deleted them. His way of saying "I don't like you so you can't read my brilliant posts anymore...neener neener neener." Hey, newsflash time junior. Having a subscription to the Observer and a good memory don't make you any smarter than anybody else. So in short, HTQ is a whiny slimy twat with festering toad shit for brains. He needs his blog to make him feel like a big super-genius. However, Leena is a douche water drinking skankosaurus...so really what TSM needs here is a good murder suicide to thin the fuckwad ranks out a bit. Come on you two. Keep fighting. Make it happen. Kill kill kill.

Who should TNA go after next and who's available

Yeah...The Rock wouldn't help TNA at all. If they could get him, they should ignore the idea. I mean, barely anybody knows who he is anyhow. And American Dragon? He's just like all the other generic wrestlers out there right now...well...except the fact that he's probably the best young mat wrestler active in North America right now...but aside from that...he's no good. Only smarks like him, so he's no good. They shouldn't look to improve the product or anything like that. They should try and get Randy Orton and have him walk around with his shirt off. That would be much better.

Who should TNA go after next and who's available

Low Ki made it pretty clear to TNA that his #1 priority is NOAH. D-Lo also apparently told them his main priority was AJPW (although gawd knows why in his case.) Guys who spend any significant amount of time in Japan can't really get over in TNA because they spend half their time out of the country. Likewise, one of the main reasons Tajiri went back to Japan is because he wanted to be at home. He has already shown up at one NJPW card, and the odds are he'll probably end up there.

I actually have some respect for Shamrock, which makes me a pariah in MMA fan circles. I think he will make an excellent coach and trainer...in fact that is what he should be concentrating on at this point in his career.

    UFC 56: Full Force

The only thing that kept it from being the worst fight that I have ever seen is that it didn't feature Alexander Otsuka from early in his MMA career. As I recall, I was thinking about killing myself during the Mark Kerr/Heath Herring fight at PRIDE 15 too. That fight redefined boring...up until the end when Herring put Kerr out of my misery.

I wouldn't say that beating Diaz should put Sanchez in line for a title shot yet. The talent in that division is pretty damn deep. I'd like to see him beat a top name before being considered for a title shot. And damn...am I looking forward to TUF3 now.

Crying over a wrestler's death is pathetic

Yes. People who mourn the loss of an entertainer are pathetic. Unlike Frigid Soul, who is responsible for THIS immortal gem: If people were only as emotionally well adjusted as Frigid Soul, the world would be a better place. By the way, everybody be nice to him. He has a medical condition. He is a Sociopath and is on medication, so he can't leave the house.

    Genesis

Just a quick point...TNA did not drop the ball with D-Lo. D-Lo works part time for AJPW. TNA has made it clear that they are not going to get behind a wrestler who can only give them a part time commitment. That's one of the reasons Low Ki is not around anymore. I'm not saying that they are right or wrong to do that...but I firmly believe that if D-Lo had stayed around full time, he'd still be a top player in TNA. He was on quite a roll, and then left for 4 weeks. This was while they're doing the weekly 2 hour PPVs. It's a little hard to get behind a guy when you need him for 2 hours every week, and then he leaves for 4.

    Yo Puro help here......

Lazy? Don't you mean Jumbo? I have tons of Brody footage. I am a big fan of his all over the arena brawls with Abdullah, but those are an acquired taste, and not for everybody. Any of his tag work with Stan Hansen is usually good stuff...those two could do some amazing stuff together, including a double dropkick...which when you consider how big they were was pretty intense. For good old school brawl Tag Matches, the matches Hansen & Brody had against The Funk brothers were a lot of fun. HOWEVER...he clearly had a list of people who he would and wouldn't bump and sell for. I saw him sell a Jumbo backdrop suplex so well that he bounced, fell out of the ring, and backed over the steel crowd barrier into the crowd. However, if he was fighting somebody he didn't like, or somebody he didn't feel like selling for? Forget it. Even the Brody haters (and there are plenty of those) will have to admit that he had a very unique look, and was very athletic. He was a very big man and could throw kicks as well as punches. Then again, he was pretty notorious for refusing to job. I read somewhere that he went 6 + years without taking a pin, which made watching his matches a tad boring. You knew that he was either going to win with the knee drop, or it would be a double count out or DQ. I would consider myself to be a Brody fan, and even I would say that some of his matches were total crap. I can get into garbage wrestling...what I can't get into is a damn headlock or leg scissors for 10 minutes. I have a bunch of matches that he had with Jumbo Tsuruta, and they vary wildly as far as how good they are. I even find that his famous 2/3 falls match with Flair from St. Louis in 1985 is pretty overrated. There are tons of serious rest holds in there, even though some will tell you it's non stop action. I would like to see some of his matches with Inoki in NJPW. I've heard they're very good, but I have never seen any comp with them available in a set or anything.

Hogan fought Muta twice that I know of in 93. Hulk Hogan vs. The Great Muta on 5/3/93. He then teamed with him against Road Warrior Hawk & Power Warrior (Kensuke Sasaki aka The Hellraisers) on 9/23/93. He fought plain old Keiji Mutoh on 9/26/93. The AJPW vs. WWF show you're talking about is probably: The US/Japan Wrestling Summit on April 13, 1990 that happened at the Tokyo Dome. 1. Dan Kroffat, Joe Malenko, & Doug Furnas beat Samson Fuyuki, Toshiaki Kawada, & Tatsumi Kitihara (11:56) when Kroffat pinned Kitihara. 2. Jushin Liger pinned Akira Nogami (8:37). 3. Jimmy Snuka & Tito Santana beat Masa Fuchi & Kenta Kobashi (8:28) when Snuka pinned Fuchi. 4. Tiger Mask (Misawa) drew Bret Hart (20:00). 5. The Great Kabuki pinned Greg Valentine (7:16). 6. Jake Roberts pinned The Big Boss Man (10:25). 7. IWGP Tag Champs Masa Saito & Shinya Hashimoto beat Riki Choshu & Masa Chono (13:00) when Saito pinned Chono. 8. Jumbo Tsuruta & Haku beat Curt Hennig & Rick Martel (10:53) when Tsuruta pinned Martel. 9. Genichiro Tenryu pinned Randy Savage (10:49). 10. WWF World Champ Ultimate Warrior pinned Ted DiBiase (6:12). 11. Shohei Baba & Andre the Giant beat Demolition Axe & Smash (6:39) when Andre pinned Smash. 12. Hulk Hogan pinned Stan Hansen (12:30). I have no idea if this is true, but I heard they had to pay Hansen a mint to get him to job to Hogan. That was somewhat of a "dream match" for some people. As far as the Samoa Joe thing, I don't know that it's the fact that he worked for Zero One that is working against him. It's the fact that he was known as "King Joe" and worked in what was basically a comedy tag team with King Adamo. It's hard to go from acting like a doofus to looking like a badass. I saw Adama and Joe work together, and they acted like the damn Bushwhackers.

    Welcome

Nice move putting this folder in. It's high time. Nice to see MMA in a SPORTS subforum and not mixed in with the Other Promotions. Back when I wrote "The Tap Out Wrap Up" I asked Dames to create an MMA folder but noooo. So anyhow yeah, I'm glad to see this here.

A whole bunch of them are in AJPW, in some stable called RO&D. However, I don't watch AJPW anymore. I have seen the odd match, usually if it has Kawada in it, like his Triple Crown defenses and the match with Kojima...but other than that, when Misawa split to NOAH...so did I.

That is a good show if it's the one I remember. That's the one with the Captain's Fall match with KENTA, Marufuji, Suzuki & Ricky Marvin vs. Sugiura, Kanemaru, Hashi & SUWA, no? If I recall that also had Misawa & Mohammed Yone vs Kobashi & Go Shiosaki. That's the second night of the Differ Cup? Which one is the MOTY in your opinion? Marufuji & KENTA vs. Hidaka & Minoru Fujita? I have both nights of the Differ Cup on DVD but I've yet to get around to watching them.

In rare circumstances, Misawa can still pull the odd good match out, but it's much more rare than it used to be...and he's really started to slide recently. There are stories that he is having major eye problems and may have to retire soon. A good example of Misawa against the younger generation of NOAH would be Misawa & Yoshinari Ogawa vs. Naomichi Marufuji & KENTA on 4/25/04. That's a great match. His match with Kawada at Destiny this past summer at the Tokyo Dome was way better than it had any right to be too.
