So the rumble pak does about what you would expect, it creates a mild rumble on each beat you hit, which actually provides quite a nice solid feel. Nothing mind blowing, but a neat touch for sure.

To unlock the extra 3 songs, you just need to advance to certain ranks. Cher - Believe (Urgh) - Rank 4 "Captain of Soul" Jackson 5 - ABC - Rank 6 "King of the Beat" Destiny's Child - Survivor (Urgh X 2) - Rank 9 "Legendary Agent" I guess I should have said before when I was complaining about Canned Heat, it was on the normal and hard modes, not the novice mode. The song really changes structure in each difficulty so far, and I always have the most trouble with the intro section, once I'm past that it's not too bad. On Hard mode, the meter is dropping so fast on the last songs that it gets really tough, and you can very easily lose without even missing a beat, just because you're hitting 50 or 100 points. The final song's are absolutely killing me on Hard, I can't even get past the first song to get to Jumpin' Jack Flash just because of that damn meter dropping on me. I have a tip for you guys, if you have a pair of decent headphones, definitely use them with the game instead of the speakers. The sound quality is so much higher through the headphones and makes hitting the beats much easier from my experience. Oh, also, I have a rumble pack I got with Metroid Pinball, I'll give it a shot later and let you guys know what it does with the game. And I never played or owned Ouendan.

Andrew, if you think Let's Dance is bad for not letting up, wait until you try Canned Heat and ABC on Hard....wow. It'll be interesting to see those songs on insane mode.

I just checked my rank page for that one, and you're right, it is almost all. I didn't really notice while playing, but to get S rank on that one I had only 8 100's and around 120 300's, and no 50's or misses. EDIT: I just got another S, this time on Novice, and I did get one 50 on that one. So I think as long as you get mostly 300's and no misses you should be okay.

Absolutely, the cover of "You're The Inspiration" is really well done and they handled the stage extremely well. I felt a bit of a lump in my throat the first time I played that one. However, if you mess up, some of the "bad" cutscenes caught me off guard and caused me to laugh really hard, thus screwing up my rhythm even more as the gameplay started again. Try it and you'll know what I mean. Y.M.C.A. works really well, they built the gameplay around that song very well and it flows. I find I have an easier time with the older songs (maybe that's because I prefer to listen to that type of music, hard to say) but it seems easier for me to find the rhythm and get into the groove of those songs. There are a few that just have weird rhythm that I can't seem to do well on, funny as you mentioned it, but Canned Heat was one of those songs. I like the track, it's got a good groove, but for some reason my rhythm is totally off when I play it, even though it feels like I'm following it right. I've got mostly B's and C's as well. I have a couple A's, and I just got my first S rank on Normal mode with September. Now that I've unlocked hard (I'm completely stuck on Material Girl and a few others in Hard) I'm going to go back and redo all the novice songs to try to get S ranks on those. From what I understand, you don't need perfect 300's for S rank, just a majority. Also, you can't miss any marks, and you need to try to finish off most, if not all, chains with one of the beat's (either 100 or 300).

What's your favorite song in the game thus far, Andrew? I really enjoy September by Earth, Wind and Fire, and despite Jumpin' Jack Flash being incredibly tough, it's also a great song for the game.

I picked it up as well, it's great. Stuck on Jumpin' Jack Flash right now on novice, the songs really ramp up in difficulty quickly, but I absolutely love the game. I, for one, am glad they decided to redesign the game for western audiences. The male cheerleader aspect seems much cooler now that they all look like they're long lost Blues Bros.

He's in FFXII as well, as Migelo and Gilgamesh, I believe. I recognized him right away, always great to hear him getting more work. Definitely not as prominent a character as Wakka, though, but still neat.

For those of you who aren't afraid to buy things at Wal-mart, sounds like they'll be selling Wii at midnight, November 19th. Just beat Bully at around a 71% completion rate, but I'm not really interested in doing the other crap to get the full 100% (bike races, etc). It was fun while it lasted but I was definitely expecting more out of this. I think I'll have to trade it in for FFXII when that comes out later this month.

I'm considering picking this up if the shipping to Canada is reasonable...but when I try to add it to my cart, it doesn't add. My cart forever remains empty. I've tried with different browsers, cookies are on...I don't understand.

Unfortunally, and as much as it pains me to say this because I don't like shopping at Gamestop....along with the cluttered ass stores they have, Gamestop is really the number 1 game shop in America. Even though Gamecrazy's are popping up more in towns, Gamestop is a much bigger name than Gamecrazy is. And I think the reason why EB most likely won't get the Wii demo in their stores is because Gamestop has no problem making EB look worse than the Gamestop stores. Now about Red Steel, I think I want to rent that one before I buy it. It just doesn't really stand out to me all that much. Besides I will have Zelda, Gears of War, and Smackdown vs Raw 2007 to play, I don't need anymore games, I really don't. Well, the whole point is that the Wii demo kiosks, if anything, should be in the big department stores where non-gamers are more likely to see it and experience it. It doesn't matter how big Gamestop is as a chain, non-gamers are still not going to go into it.

Just as an additional note, you get a lot of unlockables when you beat the game. As well, your performance will be ranked, and acheiving "S" ranks (marked with the cherry blossom tree) will give you some cool extra goodies. And finally, the point of no return in this game, when you cannot go back and do anything else, is , so I suggest saving beforehand and saving an extra file once you're there, so you can go back and earn better ranks easier. Don't worry, you'll know the time when it comes.

Just beat the game, took me around 48 hours, but I took my time a fair bit and left it paused for a couple hours here and there. Still, excellent game. Now I'm going to go through on New Game +.

I sincerely hope that isn't true, that is the stupidest mistake they could have made considering this system is supposed to reach out to non-gamers. "Hey guys, I know, let's put our system demo kiosks in only one specialty game shop!" "Promote that man."

I'm having a lot of trouble finding it as well. Didn't pre-order, because I was stupid and thought there would be plenty to go around. Some EB's in my town have it, but only the exact amount for pre-orders, and Futureshop tells me they have them, but they can't seem to find exactly WHERE they have them. So, hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get it.

I think the "Mario in space" bit would have been cheesy IF they actually did stupid stuff like give him a spacesuit and all that jazz. As it stands, I think it's a pretty clever idea in execution, and perfectly fits with the past notions of Mario visiting different "worlds".

I've never been happier.

I think those days are gone. Nintendo will have two spin-off games available at launch (FF:Crystal Chronicles and a Dragon Quest game) and that if the Dragon Quest spin-off sells well, SE will bring Dragon Quest 9 exclusively to Wii, so the rumor goes in a recent EGM. There is also a rumor of a Mana MMO for the Wii in development, and the fact that Square is bringing Final Fantasy III exclusively to the DS and not the PSP, and developing Mario Hoops 3-on-3 for the DS seems to be a fair indicator of the new relationship between Nintendo and Square. We might even see things go back to the golden age of SNES.

Just because you made up some arbitrary statistic of how many people smoke pot doesn't suddenly make it acceptable. You can make up statistics to prove anything: Forfty percent of people know that.

I picked one up today as well, it was completely worth it. The quality jump between the two, even just in the overall feel of it, is incredible. The screens are gorgeous, and the new stylus feels better too, much more solid and comfortable.

Phoenix Wright and Mia Fey? Pretty cool, you guys just need an Edgeworth to complete it!
