All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in Draft Faggotry
Jarrett was one of the main guys I was surprised was still floating out there. I know there is not a whole lot of love for the guy, but he is solid enough and has done enough in the business where it surprised me he was slipping fairly low. -
Agreed. I still feel he got screwed by the Bucks. He had a second interview scheduled with the Suns, I am kinda hoping to see something good come out of that.

Just saw on Rajah that some "Wrestling Legends" have been confirmed for Jay Lethal's groomsmen on Sunday including: Jake Roberts, Koko B. Ware, George "The Animal" Steele and Kamala. Interesting choices but if Jay Lethal always plays up the Macho Man history like he does for things not even closely related to Macho, shouldn't he know better than having Jake Roberts at his wedding? EDIT: Thanks bps, I took the tags down.

Should we start a Comics Draft
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Cran Da Maniac's topic in Literature
Just re-read my post and it is obvious that I missed the first post where someone said "draft a superteam". Even if someone takes Superman, I don't think it would have to come down to Superman is the most powerful, the team he is on is the best team. I'd say it is best to stick with the regular version of characters instead of getting into all the parallel worlds. The only question, which may not be that big of a deal, is on Marvel characters is sticking to the regular Universe or the Ultimate Universe. -
Should we start a Comics Draft
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Cran Da Maniac's topic in Literature
I like the idea of a comic draft. I think the coolest way to do it would be if we drafted our own superteams. Create A Justice League, like the sports drafts. It could be made up of superheroes from any brand/line so you could have a couple DC guys with like three or four Marvel guys and an Image guy thrown in for good measure. -
MLB 2K8 and MLB: The Show
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Canadian Brandon's topic in Video Games
I just picked up 2K8 the other day for my 360. I played part of an exibition and figured I had the new controls down. I just got Live hooked up, so I tried to do an online match-up. For some reason, I could not bat. Everytime I tried to bat, the bat would not swing. I tried seeing if maybe the person I was playing was using a different control scheme but it wasn't any of the ones in the manual. Was this a one time glitch or did I do something wrong? Has anyone heard of anything like this? -
The 2008-2009 NHL Video Games Thread
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Matt Young's topic in Video Games
I picked up 2K8 around Christmas because I wanted NBA 2K8 and Best Buy had a deal that you got NHL for free if you bought NBA. So, shortly after release I got both for $30 a piece. My NHL is still in the shrinkwrap, but I hopefully should be changing that soon. -
All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in Draft Faggotry
I've had fun just reading this and not even participating. The biggest guy I was thinking of not gone was Luger. I can still think of quite a few more I am surprised are still available instead of some of the guys taken already. That's what makes this a fun read though. -
I enjoy Eric Young too. The fact that they sent him looking for Elvis for the past month is a waste of time on any show, but I don't blame that on him. He is still doing the best he can with it. I don't see a problem with Roode other than he is just extremely vanilla, but that seems like just what he has been handed also. Not that I can think of specific instances to cite, but there are sometimes sparks with Roode, then it just seems like he disappears again.

The better question is: will Judge Reinhold return?

Haven't been reading too many comics lately, but Red Hulk is a mysterious new "bad guy Hulk". I saw that the Red Hulk in the game for GameStop is a seperate character model and not just a color scheme change. Do you know if the Red Hulk is truly just available on discs bought at GameStop or is it an unlockable that GameStop has a code in the case for? Here is a little blurb on the Red Hulk from Hulk's Wikipedia:

Looks like some good teams (of the people I know at least, not fully versed on the international ranks). I did hear, I think on Rajah.com, that Daivari was being tossed around as a possibility for Team International. The other rumored names were Tyson Dux and Doug Williams.

I think RAW 2 had a better roster and I had more fun with the create-a-wrestler on that game, but Wrestlemania 21 probably had a little better gameplay.

I finally got my stuff to set up Live today but I am going to Vegas for the weekend. I will join when I get back if there are still any slots open, but like I said before, if they fill up before me, I will just catch the next one.
-
I am still waiting on my Wireless Network Adaptor to show up from Amazon, so if you guys want to start up, I can just catch the league next time. I don't want to hold things up if you guys are going to be ready to go soon.

I don't think people aren't buying Joe as champion as much as I don't know if his character is as popular as it could be. Like NyqZoo said, his big thing over the months before finally getting his title shot was whining over how much he was getting paid. Back when Joe first should've won the title, I really liked him a lot. I am not as big of a Joe supporter as I was eight months ago myself. I was watching the show the other night thinking about how that whining era really killed my interest off for him greatly and still has effects on him for me personally.

Let's Talk About...Vince Russo's first stint booking WCW
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
The November Pay Per View that year was changed from World War 3 to Mayhem. I think the WW3 gimmick was pulled and event renamed to Mayhem before Russo jumped though. They had already named their video game Mayhem, as well as a CD I believe, so they chose that event to tie-in as well. -

I don't remember too much of that tourney now, but I remember being psyched back in the day. I always loved the big tournaments. Even when I was younger, I disliked the shortened King of the Ring's because I didn't think they meant as much as winning "like Bret did". I remember it being a fairly fun tournament for the time, but can only vaguely remember the final four now. -
I'm getting Live set up in the next couple weeks here, so I'd be in if I have it set by the time you guys want to start.

Well, I may be being a bit harsh on myself, but I am not too great on shooters. Most of my game playing I am usually playing either basketball or wrestling games. Sadly, I am also a sucker for like licensed product games like Spider-man and stuff, so I've never really mastered shooting games like I know most people have.
-
I've never gotten around to doing Live, but I finally gave in and ordered the wireless network adaptor from Amazon last night cause they had it for like 25 bucks off and I had a gift certificate. Essentially I got the $100 piece of hardware for just under $70. The one problem is I am terrible at a lot of the shooting games, so seeing I have never played the online play before, I was just curious if there are areas for terrible people ton play each other? I am talking like 7 year olds with poor motor skills bad when it comes to a game like Halo. Is there a way to play in bottom level games as to not anger others, or should I just be sticking to games I am actually passable at when I get it?

We Have Us An Iron Man
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to LivingLegendGaryColeman's topic in Television & Film
Finally got around to seeing the movie today and there is nothing really else I can add other than what has already been said. It was awesome. I was curious because I know I started this topic way back when, so I wanted to see how long ago that was. I checked back and it was September 06, then I started reading some of the posts of people thinking Downey was going to be horrible. Kinda funny looking back, especially considering how awesome he ended up being. -
US networks announce Fall schedule
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Atticus Chaos's topic in Television & Film
I still can't believe the Cleveland Family Guy spin-off is real, let alone starting in the fall. -
Lets ask Google images questions
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Vampiro69's topic in General Wrestling
Who is the next Intercontinental Champion? Which wrestler has slept with Kelly Kelly? Who will star in the next WWE film? If WCW were still around, who would be champion today? Who was the best NWA champion? Who is the highest paid WWE wrestler? -
Sounded like an interesting enough show, but I am with the majority in thinking some things just came off poorly. I don't think Kaz should have been thrown in for a few reasons. Terrordome match should have built up the majority of the X-Division, he came out ahead, losing to the Heavyweights takes away the whole seperate plus equal aspect. On top of it, Angle had found a way into an already scheduled main event. Especially with Steiner jobbing anyway, I don't think Kaz should have been thrown in.
