After being expected to sign with the Clippers after clearing waivers, Flip Murray has signed with the Pacers for the remainder of the season. Tyronn Lue is favoring heading to Denver. Jeff McInnis is rumored to be heading to either Golden State or Dallas. Ira Newble was waived by Seattle and rumored to be heading back to Cleveland.

WWE General Discussion - March 2008

Rajah.com is reporting that Matt Hardy returned at the Smackdown House Show tonight laying out MVP after his match. Apparently MVP beat Jimmy Wang Yang and was giving him a post match beat down when Hardy came out and took down MVP. -
Yeah, I actually forgot about that one because they followed it up signing Cassell so quickly after.

Gordon Giricek was waived by the Sixers today. It is expected he will sign with the Suns when he clears waivers. I don't think I saw anything in this thread on Magloire signing with Dallas or Flip Murray signing with the Clippers, although the Flip Murray signing really means nothing.

I am thinking of catching the midnight showing tonight. I was surprised to see an R rating on a Ferrell flick, but I haven't watched too many of the trailers or hype pieces (ie Reel Comedy) because I don't want to know all the jokes before I go it. The special like that show too many of the jokes (like the Walk Hard one), so I don't watch them til I see the movie now.

WWE General Discussion - February 2008

I thought the same thing, so I just checked the HOF thread and someone just posted something about Roberts possibly being inducted this year. He'd come with someone from the rehab center to watch him and may have Scott Hall as a guest with him. Just after typing that, I realize the car trip with those two, even sober would probably be a reality show I would be willing to watch. -
TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread

I like that they threw in the guy is gay. What does it matter? Is that supposed to increase viewership or something? -
Clippers are finally buying out Cassell. Boston Globe says it is down to Celtics, Mavericks and Nuggets when he clears waivers in 48 hours. He'd probably get best playing time in Denver, but to me, I think Boston would be best for him. That could just be my Celtic bias though. Looks like the Mavs can give him the most money.

I had the same issue last time I tried to play the game. I was Carlito and did his thing off the center of all four sides of the ring with no unlock. I also for some reason can never get the powerbomb to the steal steps one to unlock either.

My sister asked for help in her Oscar Pool. My picks got her 10 out of 24. I don't think she will ask me next year. I honestly haven't checked out too many of this year's though, but I did like a few surprises. I kept hearing nothing but Blanchett for Supporting and I thought Amy Ryan was great in Gone Baby Gone. Haven't seen Michael Clayton, but I did enjoy Swinton mentioning the bat suit. I did pick a couple "surprise" ones. I picked the song from Once because I enjoyed the film and song and hadn't seen Enchanted or August Rush. Of course, I get lucky with the songs every year because I picked Eminem and Three 6 Mafia the years they won too and lucked out. Another note of the show, I thought it was cool Amy Adams sang one song that she did in the movie and then came out and danced for another. Not something I'd think too many people would do.

Cool. I am definately looking forward to it. Last time I went to the comic store was around the time Booster Gold Issue 1 came out. I remember picking that up and really enjoying it, but I haven't had a chance to stop by since. Issue number 3 of GU caught my eye with the Riddler/Two-Face cover and I picked up 2 and 3 with 5,6 and 0 (7) of Booster. They didn't have the others on either series, so I ordered the first on Underground and 2,3,4 of Booster on eBay when I got home last night. I just can't look at this new stuff until it comes out! Quick quesion, obviously you are a big Bat-fan too with Nightwing as a name, do you or anyone else know anything on Batman: Rest in Peace? My buddy has been telling me he heard something about it being a new series. We asked the guy at the store who is usually pretty knowledgable about it but he said he knows nothing yet. Anyone know anything?

Is anyone reading Gotham Underground? I picked up books 2 and 3 at the comic shop last night and ordered issue 1 online (they were sold out in store). I guess the first 5 are out now though. It looked interesting to me, but I can't start until that first issue shows up. Any thoughts?

How is Ultimate Spider-Man right now? That was my favorite book to read for a while, but I got busy and hadn't been to the comic shop in a long time. I ended up picking up all DC stuff as the covers of the Ultimate Spideys on display didn't catch my interest and I only made a quick stop.

I haven't gotten to that part yet. I just put it on my TiVo and noticed that Maya Rudolph left during the strike. I didn't hear anything about her or the new featured cast member. -

So someone posted it in the TNA thread, but I figured I would throw it in here also. The TNA website is reporting that at their successful New York house show tonight Tommy Dreamer was spotted in the audience. Not that he has a high spot on the card or that it should matter what he does on his night off, but does anyone see punishment in this? I recall hearing guys backstage visiting friends in the Monday Night Wars era, but I don't ever recall having someone in the audience. -
I seem to remember this. I think it had something to do with Simmons laughing at Heyman over something that happened to him, so Heyman said if they didn't win the next match, which was for the tag titles I believe, they would be out of a job. Simmons lost and Heyman said Bradshaw got to stay, talking abour Bradshaw's financial success planting the seeds to lead to the birth of JBL.

The Hassan/Batista was one of the ones I do remember hearing. I remember rumors at the time because it was going to be at Summerslam in Washington DC, so not only Hassan winning the title in the nation's capital but Batista hometown. A few others of those I never heard of before (Guerrero/Angle in 03, JBL/Henry, I mean, I remember hearing rumors JBL would take the title off Rey, but never that he'd fight Henry, especially with Batista returning). The Edge/Lesnar would've been interesting, but kind of cliche that in 01, Edge beat the previous winner (Angle from 2000) in the finals, then to have the same thing happen the next year.

Getting Black Lushus started on how horrible the GI Joe flick is turni
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in Television & Film
I enjoy Sienna Miller, but then again, I am not extremely well-versed in GI Joe, so my opinion on that one probably doesn't count. I do think Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be good in his role because most of his work as of late has been solid. -
I haven't gotten a chance to watch any of the trailers yet, but here is the little snippet about the movie from IMDB.

The Whitest Kids U'Know
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Corey_Lazarus's topic in Television & Film
I enjoy the show. I had only begun to get to see it when IFC started re-airing Season 1 in the past month to hype the new season. I picked up the season 1 set when it came out to DVD last week. I'm glad to know I am not the only one that thought Trevor looked a little like Edge. -
86. Lashley never had a remix of his theme song produced by Simon Cowell.
