I don't think RVD is. I don't recall him winning the European title, and it's not oin WWE's title history. Not a big deal, just curious if maybe I forgot something, as I'm prone to doing. He won IC, Tag, World and Hardcore. He meets the 4 titles held mandate. No, this is World, IC, Tag and European. RVD won the traditional one. RVD was the last European title holder. It was shortly after the brand extension, he was IC champ and beat Dreamer for the Hardcore title in a Unification Match and then beat I believe Jeff Hardy in a Unification match for the European. So he was technically European champ for about as long as it took him to carry the belt to the locker room. Then it was merged into the US Title. This was being done because it was rumored that the IC belt would become the top belt for RAW. RVD lost the belt to Jericho, who lost it to Kane around the time HHH got the Big Gold belt. He beat Kane and merged the IC belt into that in fall of 02, until they decided to bring the IC title back at Judgment Day 03.

This guy is a legit poster. All within a minute of this he expressed he liked the Office in a thread, the new season of House is "awesome" and even gave us multiple sentences on why the Geico Caveman sitcom is "retarded". Despite the quality of the programs, I'm sure it probably has nothing to do with the Office and House being produced by Universal, whereas that Caveman show is not.

The Cardinals have nothing to do with this, though. They hadn't been in a position to back in all year long, seeing as they spent the season 1) totally out of contention, 2) making a run to seize the NL Central from the Brewers and Cubs not unlike what the Rockies ended up doing, 3) totally out of contention again. Furthermore, you're setting this up as if the West teams have rocked the pretty little world of the National League by winning 90 games unlike those dastardly Cardinals who "back in," even though the Cardinals won 205 games and a pennant over the two seasons before their championship-winning 83-win campaign, with basically the same Jocketty/La Russa/Duncan/Carpenter/Pujols/Edmonds/Rolen organizational/roster core. Way too much has been made about the 2006 Cardinals. I never want to hear about them again. No, it wasn't ridiculous that an 83-win team won the World Series, and no, it doesn't mean that now that they did it, anyone can do it. Yeah, Cardinals were probably a bad example. I was just saying I enjoy new, fresh match-ups and sometimes I feel like people just don't want to see new teams, so I threw the Cards in there because of their solid fan base, even though they weren't in the picture this year. I really wanted to see the Brewers get in this year too. I just like shaking it up and don't think it's right if people discredit teams just because they haven't been in the league X amount of years. I get what you are saying though, I just don't think it's fair for anyone to discredit a surprising season from the D-Backs.

See, I don't see why people don't find the Diamondbacks interesting. Sure they don't have any major names, but that doesn't make them not interesting. This is a team that dumped everything last year and with a team that is pretty much straight out of the minors, in what was supposed to be a rebuilding year, they have the best record in the National League - the only NL team to win 90 games and the fifth best record in baseball behind the 4 AL playoff teams. That is amazing to me. Especially because things like Chad Tracy and Randy Johnson were supposed to be their big stars, and both were hurt a lot this season and not part of the playoff roster. To me, I rather watch teams like the D-Backs and Rockies, a new fresh team, earn their way in as opposed to having the Cardinals back in, just because they have been in the league longer and have a couple bigger names.

I picked up the 40th Anniversary Edition of the Jungle Book the other day. I was putting it in my collection on my DVDSpot site and noticed Clint Howard in the cast. I didn't realize Clint Howard was a voice in the Jungle Book and laughed when I found out he was the baby elephant. I know he was young, but just picturing the man behind the baby elephant grew up to be the Ice Cream Man humored me... Then I looked further and found out he was Roo in all the old Winnie the Pooh movies. The important things you learn. -

Alright, so I just counted the total nominations so far. We have 78. Fair bracketing would break at 64 or 128. So should toss 50 more names in there, or reduce the list a little? -

Hornets signed three free agents for training, the notable one being Ryan Bowen, other two being undrafted college guys. Wizards did the same (3 training camp signees, two undrafted college kids), the notable one for the Wizards... Tony Massenburg. 40-year-old Tony Massenburg.

I know A-Rod will win MVP, but I felt we were allowed to put a slight bit of personal bias in these votes. As a life-long Red Sox fan, it pained me to write a Yankee in at all, even though I know he will win this one and the real one.

WWE General Discussion - September 2007

I read on Rajah.com, which they said they got from the Observer, that Roddy Piper was at a conference the other day and among things he said, was that he is scheduled to be at Cyber Sunday. I wonder what role they will place him in this year, or knowing the trend of giving away the secret early, if he will even be there now. -
Well, reports coming out today, which I thought today, is that once Simmons passes the physical with the Cavs, he is just going to be waived and most likely retire. Talking about returning Hornets, there are rumors starting of PJ Brown going back to the Hornets. That is a move I don't get. You have two top teams in the Suns and Mavs going after him and he is debating to sign up or retire, and now he may go to a sixth seed at absolute best team?

Wolves trade Trenton Hassell to the Mavericks for Greg Buckner. Cavaliers sign Devin Brown Cavaliers trade David Wesley and cash to New Orleans for Cedric Simmons

This is the first I've heard about this. Maybe LivingLegend could shed some light on this. Is the BB edition 2 discs or 3 discs? I think the 3 Disc is a myth. I went to FYE today and found the tin and all it says is that it is an FYE exclusive tin. It does not say anything about extra content. I haven't opened it up yet because I am unsure if I want to keep it if the only thing special about it is the tin. Has anyone else picked it up/know yet?

I got it a few weeks back when Best Buy had it on sale for $3.99. I'm sure it will go that cheap again at some point. -
This is the first I've heard about this. Maybe LivingLegend could shed some light on this. Is the BB edition 2 discs or 3 discs? The Blockbuster is 2-Discs. BBV has been doing 2 discs all year, the regular single disc with a bonus disc of exclusive content. I was surprised cause it is usually just 2 features. I would have to assume they threw some of the stuff on the 3 disc. I heard of the 3 disc Summerslam, going to be like the 3 disc Wrestlemania, but haven't really heard much else.

I picked it up today and had no problem finding it. I went to Best Buy and there were plenty of copies, including the free give-away of a little copy of the first two chapters of The New Frontier (I guess they included that seeing as that is the next DC Animated Project). Really wanted to watch it today, but was too busy, so will probably sit down and watch it tomorrow.

Blockbuster exclusive content for Summerslam is listed as: Punjabi Celebration (Smackdown 7/27/2007) CM Punk & Boogeyman vs. John Morrison & Big Daddy V (SNME 08/18/2007) WWE IDOL (RAW 08/13/07)

I have no problem with Cena as champ, I have no problem with the long reign because the title change will mean something when it happens, however, IMO, WCW is too far removed to have a real answer to that question. I mean, there were a few people who were main eventers in WCW still in the business now, but it is hard to tell who would or wouldn't have jumped ship or what independant star would have blossomed in WCW that hasn't in WWE or TNA. If this was 2002 or even early 2003, maybe there could be speculation, but WCW has been dead for 6 1/2 years now.

WWE General Discussion - September 2007

That may not always work depending on if it is live or a taping. Last time I went, I had a sign confiscated off of me after it was on TV. I went to an ECW/Smackdown taping and from the TitanTron view, it was on during ECW and I even saw it on the airing of Smackdown before it got taken away a few matches in. If anyone goes to ytmnd.com, I made a Brian Peppers sign. It had a picture of him and said "Brian Peppers, Google It". Also, I made a sign that said "I Miss Kaite Vick" and it was totally on camera during the taping, but edited out of TV. I was sitting pretty close, so as Kane was climbing the turnbuckle, right above him, it said "I MISS KATIE VICK" and people in my section laughed. When I watched the show on TV, they edited it to a tight shot of his head. -

Black Adam was really blurring the lines, but I have no problem throwing him in the villain tournament. We will still need quite a few more names, so anyone who wants to keep adding, feel free. Also, in terms of Iron Man, is there a certain time period you wanted to include him for? Cause I know a lot of people considered him the villain of Civil War, so it you want to say Iron Man (Civil War era), we can take a look and throw him in if we need more names before nominations end. -
2007: Most disastrous year in WWE history?
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Dobbs 3K's topic in The WWE Folder
HLA was Hot Lesbian Action. They kept promoting it, even at one point saying Smackdown GM Stephanie McMahon was going to be involved. It wasn't so much of an angle, as am embarrassing, pointless waste of time. They even made a hideous t-shirt for it too, which, if anyone bought one, they probably needed to pass out fliers to all of their neighbors. I think the Stephanie segment was guaranteed for the Unforgiven 2002 PPV, which included Rikishi in drag too. -

Vick and Wilson were 02, as were Chuckabilly's wedding, the Trish/Bradshaw vs. Nowinski/Gayda, HLA and Bischoff coming back to TV. All those things were late 02, but still 02. That 02-03 run was the most painful. -
