Does the younger generation remember WCW?
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Boxer's topic in General Wrestling
I seem to remember Angle saying he had a problem with it for a while now. I'm pretty sure he even talked about it being a reason he was hesitant to become a pro wrestler in his book way back when. Who knows if it is a reality or not, but I've heard for years that incident stalled him from appearing earlier in time. I believe Taz was offended also, but in the past Kurt has admitted to having a problem with it. -
I read this morning that Durant was cut. Him and Collison were the final cuts to make it 12. http://www.latimes.com/sports/olympics/la-...1&cset=true

Found this on Rajah.com: I checked Superherohype.com which is where I rely on for most of my comic movie news and have not seen this. I did find something on Comics2Film.com when trying to research it, but I don't really know that sorce. It could just be a rumor, but if that quote from the rumor is true, that is a dick move by the director. I don't know if I'd want a wrestler as a lead in a movie either for a few reasons, but saying you don't want to cast him because of Chris Benoit is silly. Especially when the movie won't be in theaters until a year or two after the incident occurred.

Past couple days of transactions: Jarvis Hayes signs with Detroit Josh Powell signs with Clippers Ime Udoka signs with the Spurs Wizards trade the rights to Juan Carlos Navarro to Memphis for a future first round pick I am curious about Hayes to Detroit, I didn't even realize he was a free agent, although I know injuries most likely kept him from extending. Powell will be interesting as he may get a lot of minutes with no Elton Brand. This is his big chance. Udoka could fit in well with the Spurs, what I read the other day is he will be groomed to be Bowen's successor.

Early Rumor as to who will play THHHor
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to LivingLegendGaryColeman's topic in Television & Film
I am pretty sure the issue with that was Jane thought the script for the second wasn't true to the character and rather than fixing it, they let him leave and took someone else. -
Does anyone actually watch any of the fans who post video blogs? I clicked on one out of curiousity as it was one of the top links on the Hogan commercial. I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unjPg64dUmk&NR=1 I just can't put it into words... why would someone do this? And to not make my post completely worthless, here's a fun clip from one of my personal favorite Royal Rumbles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ji5naDG6mh8&NR=1 And also, I don't know if its been posted, but here is Owen vs. Kid from KOTR 94: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZQVu1drq10 Hart Foundation vs. The Pitbulls:

WWE General Discussion for August 2007
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
I just posted a topic on this in the Movie Forum, but felt I should post it in here too: Found this on Rajah.com: I checked Superherohype.com which is where I rely on for most of my comic movie news and have not seen this. I'm surprised because I figured I would be more familiar with some of the 2006 titles than the 2007 ones, as most of the 06 should be on DVD now. I did enjoy Idiocracy and had been looking forward to it. It never showed up in any theaters near me, so I was a bit surprised when it was coming to DVD. Standing Still and Coastlines both look like they could be decent if I ever got around to watching them. Standing Still not only has the people Bob mentioned, but there are a couple of the "I know their face, but not their name" people in it too. From this year's list, I did realize that earlier I didn't mention the Abandoned, as I thought the title was familiar but wasn't sure. After hearing it is a horror movie, I realize I know that one too, but since DVD. I was surprised to see a new movie with Elisha Cuthbert, but another one I did not even know was in theaters.

I remember hearing some backstage story before about BG James, Killings and some weed, so I wouldn't be surprised.

The Great American Bash DVD comes to stores this Tuesday, the 21st. The Blockbuster bonus features have been listed on package since One Night Stand. The Blockbuster exclusive features are the 20 Man Battle Royal where Khali wins the belt and also "Former Champions Predict Outcome of Cena/Lashley". I have not had a chance to look at the disc yet, but I will keep everyone posted on the other bonus features when I get a chance.

I did the test for both conferences. I put the exact same answers. In the East Coast I am Jason Kidd. In the West Coast I am Carmelo Anthony. I am confused.

Got this from another board: That's a cool picture, but if Reggie joined the Celts, he'd be changing his number too. 31 is also retired in Boston, that's why Telfair was 30 when he was there. It's still weird to me thinking of Garnett as anything other than 21 or Allen as something other than 34, Reggie would be much stranger than at least Allen.

Brian "Crush" Adams found dead
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to DangerousDamon's topic in General Wrestling
I just went onto Yahoo Sports and it is one of their headlines: http://sports.yahoo.com/top/news;_ylt=Ag6y...p&type=lgns -
Was that the one based on The Devil and Daniel Webster? Yes. With him, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Anthony Hopkins, Dan Aykroyd and a few others. http://imdb.com/title/tt0263265/

Out of Bob's list I've heard of... I have yet to see any of them, but most of them I only associated with the video. Funny Money I heard was alright, it is based off of a play. Nomad I heard was a cross between Gladiator and 300. Slow Burn has a decent enough cast (Liotta, LL Cool J, Taye Diggs), but I don't remember too much advertising for it when it came to the theaters. The only advertising I remember for it was Blockbuster had signs in the window saying "See this in theaters" and I think it came out against some big competition IIRC. Blind Dating I saw a TON of promos for. I thought it was a joke at first, but after seeing the it over and over accpeted it was in fact a real movie, but I never realized when it hit theaters.

NBA.com has the pictures from the Rookie Photo Shoot up. I was looking at them and didn't even know until then that the Hawks were going to have new uniforms this season.

I heard the trailer was coming out for this soon. Any movie that teams up Jack Black and Mos Def is an automatic sold ticket for me, but when I heard the premise for this, I can't wait.

WWE General Discussion for August 2007
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
What I read on him, I think on Rajah, was that his only WWE TV appearance was playing the lawyer for Muhammed Hassan back in 2005. He is from New England and was doing a gimmick similar to Rick Martel's model gimmick in OVW. -
Wrestlescale - Results You are central in your beliefs about wrestling. You accept the idea of both old-school and sports entertainment but you are not extreme in either way. You believe that angles and matches are equally important to create a good wrestling product. Most similar booker: Paul Heyman Most similar promotion: TNA 2002

Cool beans. That's true. I blanked on Laser Cats. I think it was that I was expecting the typical SNL alum type of movie and it was something completely out of left field.

The HBK bear looks like a lion. I also am kind of interested in the Eugene bear because I have this curiousity to find out if it is the first ever "mentally challenged" stuffed toy.

Who needs to bring Luger into this? Look at Batista? He has been in the Smackdown Main Event of EVERY PPV this year and hasn't won a big match since beating Kennedy, who was having his first and only PPV Main Event match, at the Rumble. No Way Out: Lost with Undertaker to Cena & Shawn Wrestlemania: Lost title to Undertaker Backlash: Draw with Undertaker Judgment Day: Loses to Edge One Night Stand: Loses to Edge Vengeance: Loses to Edge Bash: Loses to Khali and Kane Granted he has been protected in some of this, but I think Batista is looking goofier than Luger at this point. Anyone wants to say something about Punk, he's lost 2 so far to Batista's 7-8 (if you count the big Smackdown cage match that led to Edge's win).

That's why I am curious on the Reggie thing. The same story came out last year with Dallas as the team and Dallas was more of a "surefire winner" last year than Boston is considered thusfar. I won't give it too much thought, but if it happens, as a Celtics fan, I definately wouldn't mind. Even for a short amount of minutes, it wouldn't hurt to have the Number 1 and 2 all-time three point shooters floating around the arc in the same uniform...
