Weekend Box Office Report March 27-29
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to YourKock'sReallyGreat's topic in Television & Film
12 Rounds still did a little better than I was expecting. Number 7, $5 million, still did better than Miss March which had a ton of ads for it everywhere. I saw it advertised on a lot of game broadcasts, if you watch the Whitest Kids U Know, they did stuff after the show similar to all WWE's 12 Rounds pushing. This film also opened on less screens than Marine, I don't know how many to compensate for the difference, but this one could very well be like Marine where it will make a lot of money on DVD, especially now with Blu-Ray a little more "common". I know that I won't be rushing to the theaters to see this, but I will check it out on DVD. Marine was entertaining enough to give this one which seems similar a try. -
Kurt Angle is a psychopathic killer
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Atticus Chaos's topic in TNA Wrestling
I think the only way that could be better was if that sloppy old guy that is describing the kind of people getting killed (ending with "You name it") was played by Jake Roberts. With the look he was pulling off... I wanted him to be Jake Roberts. I guess I will have to settle for Kurt Angle is a clown costume abducting children. -
I just got my newest GameInformer in the mail and had no idea about this game which is the cover story. Paul Dini of the comics and the animated series are writing it, the graphics look nice and it sounds from the article that the people doing the gameplay known what they are doing. May as well start a thread now. A lot of comic themed games coming up, but this one I didn't even realize was being worked on has me the most excited of all.

I was also surprised that I knew the ones from the 80s. It took me a little under 3 minutes to finish, but I was getting frustrated because I was blanking on . I remember what she looked like and everything, I just was blanking on the name.

Legends of WrestleMania

I laughed because under Edge it said FERTIG. -
I agree with Stars are Blind. Sadly, some of the top played songs on my iPod are songs that are guilty pleasures. Songs I know are cheesy and bad, but I like them anyway, such as when I found a Youngstown CD in a dollar bin. I have a soft spot for late 90s boy bands, for some strange reason. Youngstown was the group that did "I'll Be Your Everything" for the Inspector Gadget soundtrack. I think the funny part is though, on the CD, there is a "rap version" which is the same song, just some of the lyrics changed to be fairly dirty, such as changing "I'll just call out go go Gadget" to "Let me freak you with my gadget". I also have the Cobra Starship theme from Snakes on A Plane that I was hooked on for a while that I am trying to push out of most played contention.

I don't remember where I saw it but apparently there was a half page blurb on him that concluded with him dropping the title to Orton at Summerslam 2004 and stayed in contention for major titles for a few more years.

So if Owen Hart is rightfully let in the HOF someday by his family, High Energy will be a Hall of Fame tag team. The Rockers will not be...

Role Models hit DVD today, so I figured I'd bring the discussion back. I had really wanted to see this movie in theaters, but didn't catch any of the movies I had wanted to see this fall. Most of the comedies I wanted to see from the fall didn't live up to my expectations, but this one had me laughing. Got me even more excited for "I Love You, Man".

I would be shocked if Lita is there because I would think she would be one that WWE wants for the Battle Royal most. How can you have Jackie Gayda as an all-time Diva and not have Lita?

I remember Death at a Funeral hitting smaller theaters in America as a good British movie. It is already being remade... American style. Wait, scratch that, Urban American style. Apparently it was announced that Chris Rock was urbanizing a script and now Tracy Morgan and Martin Lawrence are on board. All this will be directed by the man who brought the Nicholas Cage Wicker Man and Lakeview Terrace. Here is the snippet I saw on IMDB:

Modern day scripting of wrestling vs. the old days of doing promos
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Spaceman Spiff's topic in The WWE Folder
That RAW script was pretty cool. I don't know if anyone else noticed, but the talent show seems to be broken up by spot on the card too, which although nothing quite shocking (unless you consider the confirmation Tyson Kidd is a heel), I found interesting. I wonder if someone will be posting this in the future like the 1992 one in General Discussion and have comments about people's placement. -
Yeah, I got Curry Man and Petey Williams off XBL cheap and Tenay which a lot of places gave a way a code for with pre-order had been a free for everyone download when I got those two. Still ned to Border Toss Tenay around the ring...

All the time you hear people saying how no matter what they couldn't put down Halo or Call of Duty or the current Madden or any lot of the general popular games, but what games were you surprisingly addicted to? I know in old "Surprisingly Good" game threads, I always used to show my love for the Haunted Mansion game that was on PS2/Gamecube/Xbox. While I collect games and love to play them (albeit, I'm not too talented), I tend to have more games than I play. Often times, I will pick up a game, get going and never go back, or just play the current wrestling or sports game to death. The Haunted Mansion I think was the first game I just wanted to continue. I don't know if I would like it going back now, but for some reason I was hooked on that game when it came out. Another game I remember I was surprisingly addicted to back in that generation was Bond: Everything or Nothing. The Bond game that highlighted it had its own original story and cast the likenesses and voice talents of actors ranging from Willem Dafoe to Shannon Elizabeth. While this game got fairly solid reviews, I don't recall it ever being extremely popular and only knew a handful of people that played it (a few on my recommendation). I can't think of any shockers in the current generation of games and played too much weird stuff in the Super Nintendo days to even write about those ones. I'm just curious to see what games others got addicted to that they weren't expected, and maybe that will open the flood gates for some of us to get hooked on games we may not have tried otherwise.

WWE General Discussion - February 2009

IIRC, Jericho was a tweener in that match and then turned full blown heel in the build for the solo encounter versus Cena at the next Pay Per View. -
I'm just going to post the 2/11 Letterman video: Letterman 2/11/09 This along with all the recent quitting acting in pursuit of Hip Hop is either making him a modern day Andy Kaufman or Joaquin has really lost his mind. Thoughts?

Joaquin Phoenix
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to LivingLegendGaryColeman's topic in Television & Film
Yeah, his music transition is supposedly being made into a documentary by Casey Affleck. Letterman took some shots at him during the interview, as can be seen on the clip. Saying stuff about apologies to Farah Faucett. With Bar Rafaeli, when she declined to comment about her relationship with DiCaprio, he made some shots at Phoenix. Letterman will be talking about this at least every show for about a month and then still bring it up from time to time. -
Christian's Re-debut in WWE has occurred!
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Thanks for the Fish's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm guessing it was fake because if Vince didn't understand Paul as a Johnny Depp clone a few years ago when that was already one of the biggest movies in the world, I doubt he'd be pushing people to do an untelevised spoof of a Hollywood gossip piece. Just figured I'd toss in the report that the other poster couldn't remember finding. -
I do think Portland would be better off not doing that deal, but as someone who watches a decent amount of Suns games and also, in terms of what the other deals on the table for the Suns are, I think that one is the best.

I must have missed that. But then again, I don't think I got up and left anytime during the ECW show. I can't fins where I read this. God, I hope I didn't dream this - a commercial break ECW segment, let alone one involving Burchill. from Rajah: -
Winner.

I know I picked some that may not be agreed, based on if I've seen the movie in a couple instances. Some were hard, like original Nightmare on Elm Street vs. 28 Days Later because I could make arguments on both.
