Nothing about that movie seems slightly interesting. What is it about anyway? Roller skating or something? eh that's just a side plot thing...it's your basic 4 friends growing up coming of age kinda flick. It's a comedy-drama, so it's not like a straight serious movie or anything. Check it out, Rip, it's okay. Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised by ATL myself. They advertised the roller skating and it was coming out around the same time as Roll Bounce, so I was skeptical, but I watched the DVD one day because there was nothing else and ended up really liking it.

There were a few news reports, I just did a quick search and cut part of one of the articles. I bolded the main quote, I thought there was more he said too, but can't seem to find it all.

I didn't mind her until this movie. This movie she seemed very unmotivated and really got to me on the promo circuit where she basically complained about being in the franchise in every interview she gave. I don't know, stuff like this, and Heath Ledger's comments about comic movies after his casting as the Joker get to me. There are plenty of people who would die to get in a movie that big, play that kind of character, who are just as capable, if not more, than those who do get cast.

Blockbuster will be getting Wrestlemania in for rental and for sale. Apparently the DVDs will have Blockbuster Exclusive content again, but looks like a standard 2-disc set, regular keep case, albeit just the PPV poster (with the three big matchups) as opposed to the Wrestlemania logo shown on the other two editions.

Isn't that just what the Godwins were? Yeah. Apparently in OVW, Gordy was teaming with Henry O. Godwinn as Cousin Ray and they were going to be the new Godwinns... I don't know why they switched him out with Fake Kane.

Just got the newest WWE magazine in the mail and there is an ad for the Wrestlemania 23 DVD. It has a mention that Wal-Mart will have a 2-pack with Wrestlemania 23 and the From the Vault: Shawn Michaels DVD.

Thanks for that info. Those matches were not something to die for but were pretty decent so I'll check Blockbuster and if they have a good price I might pick it up. My closest Blockbuster had it brand new for $19.99 and last I knew they put out Pre-Viewed ones for $14.99 or 2 for $20, or if you have their online movie pass you get them 3 for $20.

Blockbuster has done exclusives for Royal Rumble and No Way Out 07 now. I knw the second disc of No Way Out had an 8-man tag (I think Cena/HBK/Taker/Batista vs. Edge/Orton/Kennedy/MVP from the Thursday RAW) and I think one other match. I'm pretty sure that match you mention is one of the extras on the regular NWO2007 dvd, not for an additional disc. It'd be great if someone could confirm this and if there's actually a special NWO2007 dvd with an extra disc. I own the NWO with the extra disc... I just haven't looked at it in a while, so I got mixed up. Just popped the disc in. It has the two big matches from Smackdown on 2/16. The non-title HBK/John Cena vs. MVP/Kennedy and the UT/Batista vs. Rated RKO.

DC Comics announce three animated movies
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in Television & Film
Since they took out the four Supermen from the story it won't be as clustered Are they doing the version from the comics? Because in the comics, Lex Luthor wasn't a villain at this time and he had that long orange hair. I haven't seen the trailer, but I just went to the website and it opens with a villainous sounding quote from Luthor. -
I met Telfair after a game once and he seemed real cool, real genuine. So it's sad for me to see him keep getting into stuff like this, he does not come across as a troublemaker at all. I think he needs to get out of Boston though. He won't be able to work with Doc's coaching. Telfair looked great in the summer league this past year, and not just because of the competition, but because he was given freedom to run the court. I think he suffers the same fate Banks had in Boston. Those are two players who can be explosive given the right controls and systems. Banks is another story though. I thought he would be monster as Nash's backup, but D'Antoni's 7-man rotation barely lets him in and when he does get in, he is too tentative and nervous to function.

I remember that happened with a Tag Team title change back in the day. Men on a Mission got a quick reign over the Quebecers at a house show in London because Mabel landed on one of the Quebecers in a fashion where he was physically unable to kick out. How many title changes like this have there been?

As a Celtics fan, I say they have to take Oden. What he can bring and his position will be needed more in Boston. If they get Durant, they are going to have to make some roster moves. Durant would need to take as many touches as Pierce, so Pierce would most likely be traded, but at the same time, Big Al is their power forward. Even thought Durant is better, they need Oden's size and skillset more.

I picked up these: Monsieur Ibrahim (2003) The Man Without a Past (2002) Time and Tide (2000) Raising Victor Vargas (2002) Va savoir (2001) Big Girls Don't Cry (2002) The Pact of Silence (2003) Broken Wings (2002) Circus (2000) Sunshine State (2002)

Thanks for the heads up. I took a look at mine and got 10 movies for $20. Some I had wanted before, some I have been meaning to see. I gotta go check out the other one near here soon too.

I think Nash has to get in at this point. Just winning one MVP award, I would think he has to. I don't think any MVP is not in there. Then he won back to back, and now he is right in contention again. The main thing I question on Tim Hardaway's entry to the Hall of Fame are the current character issues. If I remember right, there was one year when he was on Miami where he was an MVP contendor. But is he going to be hurt by the recent anti-gay remarks though? David Stern pretty much seperated him from all league activity after his radio comments on the Amechi stuff. His shots at becoming a coach are pretty much gone, do you guys think this will effect his HOF standing?

OAO Monday Night Raw Thread-4/02/2007
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to RonL21's topic in The WWE Folder
I hope it's just a Make -A-Wish segment, no angles or anything. It would look very bad if they use something like that in an angle, and since it's Foley he'd look that much worse than he already does (with his shilling, etc). Thank God Kane won't be at RAW with the Make-A-Wish child, you know how he is when it comes to helpless victims. -

Kendrick hasn't won it either, as well as Daivari (No Way Out 07), who has competed for it but not won it.

So this was an animated sequel to the three live-action ones? Yes. I thought it was supposed to just be the first two however .

Blockbuster is starting to sell and rent the WWE DVDs again too. They started with Royal Rumble and are scheduled to get No Way Out on its release this Tuesday (3/20). Both Rumble and No Way Out have Blockbuster Exclusive Bonus Discs, making them both 2 Disc sets. I got the Rumble one, but I am not sure what the extra extras are yet because I haven't had time to check it out.

Agreed. I was surprised by it and thought some parts were really funny. Plus, Terry Crews should be President.

Comments that which don't warrant a thread
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to a topic in Television & Film
Yes. You can also watch Baadasssss!, a movie by Mario Van Peebles about that movie being made, also featuring The Office's Rainn Wilson as a crazy hippie. As for another title to add to the list, add on Five on the Black Hand Side
