I got in a couple hours ago from going and seeing the new Transporter. Going into this weekend, I figured 40 Year Old Virgin would still (deservingly) take the box office, whereas this would show up somewhere between 2 and 4, but we'll see on that still. Anyway, who went out and saw it? I was pumped, because I just rented the first one on DVD with no knowledge and loved it. This one... was fun. I liked it on the Resident Evil 2 level. It wasn't a good movie, but it was fun. The main difference I saw in this one was that they just went total cliche action movie whereas the first one felt somewhat different. Long story short, I really liked the first one, this one was okay, not anywhere near the first one, but a fun movie to see if you need time to kill. In comparision, I'd say if you thought the first one was 4 out of 5 stars, this one is probably a 2, but still has a slight mindless entertainment value.

I was thinking the other day about the Nets actually. A healthy Kidd, Jefferson and Carter will make them interesting. Another player not mentioned in this is their rookie Antoine Wright. I watched him play in the summer league and thought he played very well. Granted, he will most likely be backing up RJ and VC, he should add some good play and be a solid build for the future. I'm not particularly a big fan of Kidd or Carter, however, this team, if healthy and motivated, should have some good play this year. Also, Damon Jones is officially a Cav now. How much of an impact does everyone see with that? Myself, I like D Jones, but I want to see how all these players in Cleveland mesh. It could be real good or real messy and right now I still am on the border myself on which way they will go.

Toy Story 10th Anniversary Edition Crash
-
I stopped at WalMart to pick up some stuff on the way home and got Toy Story for $13.28 and Crash for $14.26. They had Lost for $36, I am considering it because it looks cool and I hear it is good, however I have never seen it. I also didn't realize the Deer Hunter was re-released this week, so I may have to look into that.

Two recently released stars buying tix?
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to claydude14's topic in The WWE Folder
these were probably the two released people that WWE regarded highest and I do not recall a connection between them before now... how much longer do you give it until people start saying their release was a work? -
this weekend I received in the mail: Road Warriors:The Life and Death Undertaker 3 Disc and I purchased: Titus The Complete First and Second Season Tommy Boy (Holy Schneike Edition) Sahara

Transporter 2
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to LivingLegendGaryColeman's topic in Television & Film
haha, I did mark out a little for the Sin City song. I would've marked out even more for a random clip of Jessica Alba pole-dancing, but I'll take what I can get. -
Should the 4 Horseman come back to Wrestling?
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
I agree that there should be some new group, something fresh, however I do not want to see a legacy tarnished (anymore). Establish something new. There wouldn't have been a Four Horseman to talk about these days if they didn't want to start something fresh all those years ago. -
Finley actually is not going to start for SA. They said when the pursuit began that Bowen would not lose his starting job, that Finley will be sharing minutes with Barry. Also, this means Devin Brown will be heading elsewhere, while not a big factor, just something I read this morning that would happen if Finley joined the Spurs, before the Finley news broke. I would have to agree with whoever said the Heat look like the 03-04 Lakers. That is the first thing I said when the trade goes through. Also, I believe the Heat roster had Haslem on the bench and Haslem is projected starter with Posey coming off the bench. Still, even with the rotations, it is hard to argue against either, although I hope the Suns hang in there and I think the Pacers will be back in pretty full force this year as well, whereas I think Detroit will decline with Brown gone. All the players there are still capable, but I think Brown truly got the best out of them.

For most well known, I would say the matches with Karl Malone/DDP vs. Dennis Rodman/Hulk Hogan and Jay Leno/DDP vs. Hogan/Bischoff are more well known than like Hogan/Rock or the Elimination Chamber. There was stuff on all sorts of news shows and such on those two WCW matches. Hogan/Rock and such are famous within wrestling fans, but famous overall, it goes up when mainstream celebrities come in.

The Aristocrats (ta-da)
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Brush with Greatness's topic in Television & Film
I took the trek across town to the one theatre in the state showing it tonight to see it. I enjoyed it. Part of the enjoyment I got from seeing it in the theatre was watching all the people file out minutes into the movie. I saw some old couple going in and most of them quickly going out. All old people go to see whatever movie gets 4 or 5 stars in the paper... and half the time they either walk out or are confused. I've seen it with this and Napoleon Dynamite for sure myself now, and have a very funny story from a friend about "the old folk" going to Memento. Anyways, I was entertained. I think the DVD is one that may have some pretty interesting stuff. I was just surprised at some of the people that were interviewed, but only shown for a few words. Like Chris Rock. I mean, this is Mr. "Toss My Salad", I am sure he could've come up with a decent version. Also, for those who stayed for the end credits, who plans on submitting your own version for the DVD? -
I was just browsing BestBuy.com and I saw the three disc Undertaker set is actually on sale for $16.99 this week. I hadn't realized it came out this week, with it not being in the ads. Not only can you get it at that price, which seems pretty good seeing these 3 disc sets are usually about 24 bucks, but if you get it online, you get $5 off another select WWE DVD, which includes Wrestlemania XX, Wrestlemania XXI, Mick Foley's Hits and Misses, Greatest Stars of the 80s, Monday Night Wars, Ultimate Ric Flair or the Road Warrior set. I put Undertaker and Road Warriors in my cart and it is only $35 shipped, so might be a decent deal if you wanted to pick this one up, and maybe a little behind on other ones.

Here's an interesting cause: http://www.nba.com/suns/news/finley_mailbox_050818.html It is through the Suns website to e-mail Finley and talk him into joining the Suns. Not really something that will really matter, but interesting nonetheless.

Let's just hope it's not as bad as that second Get Smart series that Fox tried to make a while back. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This one already has an advantage if they keep Andy Dick away

Rocketman Salute Your Shorts Almost Heroes is coming out soon, and it is too soon to complain about no Andy Milinokas or Stella yet, but if they don't I will not be happy.

Luckily we don't have to worry about it, because a lot of people forgot to mention one of the currently highest pushed faces.... Big Vis.

this weekend I picked up: Assault on Precint 13 (Ethan Hawke one) House of Flying Daggers Beyond the Sea Ghostbusters 2-pack Wrestlemania XXI Guess Who Alexander

National Lampoon rips on Futurama
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Gary Floyd's topic in Television & Film
I was thinking the same thing as the majority apparently. National Lampoon's only recent thing worthwhile was Van Wilder... and I really don't know how much stake in there. The next best movie they put out in recent memory was Gold Diggers... and that was pretty awful. -

how many people would be angry if this ends up with London doing skits like Jericho's Cruiserweight march on WCW headquarters? -
WWE Main Eventer Leaving After SummerSlam
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to algrim's topic in The WWE Folder
I haven't counted, so you may be right, but Jericho didn't compete at Backlash 2002 and with the brand extension, that seems strange. What is Rock and Jericho's respectively? -
GTA San Andreas forced to change game rating
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to NoCalMike's topic in Video Games
I thought the same too, however, there are a few X-Box owners without it (too new to go Pre-Played at most places) and also, in an article I read, Wal-Mart is taking all returns on it, opened or unopened, for full refund. It discussed how a love of violent video games bought it for PS2 on initial release, but was appauled by the added "pornography" and plans on returning it. -
GTA San Andreas forced to change game rating

I heard Blockbuster pulled all rentals and sales of the game today as well. -
I dunno. That guy thinks less people will want this? Knowing those special features, especially if they put some decent matches on there, I will love this set. Seeing those imitations and the other goofy things make this more of a must have in my belief.
