Not anyone in particular, but usually seeing kids from places like Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel transition into older movies are weird for me to swallow. For instance, the movie Mean Creek, while having some younger actors that have done adult work (Rory Culkin and Scotty from EuroTrip) also has the fat kid from a lot of Nickelodeon stuff who was in Max Keeble's Big Move and Snow Day, a girl from the Lizzie McGuire Movie and a kid from the kid's movie the Dust Factory. It's weird to see these kids be in those kid orientated things to being in a movie like this where they are dropping F-bombs and making sexual comments about people's mothers and the such. I guess one actor that kinda hit me in my last ramble would be Mario Lopez. The man in AC Slater. I've seen some low budget action movies and stuff with him on the shelf in the movie store, but the man is Slater.

The One And Only Fantastic Four Thread...
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Jonathon's topic in Television & Film
I saw it at a midnight show and I liked it a whole lot. Just entertaining. Like others said, no comic movie will live up to Batman Begins until the sequel is out. The final fight was short, Doom didn't do much, but he was just starting, his powers were starting to develop, he found out the latest and was on his own. Of course he won't be able to utilize them fully yet. Also, it was obvious at the end that there will be a sequel, Doom will be back and it will pick up where this one left off and possibly make this one look better. Just a fun movie to go to, I don't get why it is getting bashed so much. -
I can't believe no one has said Diff'rent Strokes yet. Fat Albert's theme was pretty awesome too.

Comments that don't warrant a thread
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to {''({o..o})''}'s topic in Video Games
I do too. They had one based on the comics slated for an August 2004 release I believe it was. All I know about it was they pushed the release date back a few times, with August being the last one, and it was never released. I was very disappointed. Any one have any info on the Animaniacs game slated for this fall? I heard there would be one and it was originally scheduled for the spring, but got pushed back to fall. Not sure why a random Animaniacs game, when they haven't been around for years, but I won't complain. I used to love the old SNES one, probably pick up this X-box title when it comes out. -
I really hate hearing all the Darko bashing lately. It's been on TV and people have been calling him worthless in this thread. The boy hasn't had a chance to play. As much as I respect Larry Brown, he is the same man that did not play LeBron James, Dwayne Wade or Amare Stoudemire in the Olympics. That's why Team USA only got bronze... he doesn't play the young guys. One of the most veteran guys on this summer's team USA, therefore, most played, was Stephon Marbury. Darko needs a chance to play before there is anymore hate.

That would be AMAZING. My favorite tag team ever! Well, that may be stretching it, but Heidenreich, seeking to make his friendship true, would help Eugene in his old school tributes. I'd love to see those two marching around acting like LOD (with the face paint and make-shift spikes) or better yet... THE BUSHWACKERS!

Either that or just rent another copy and swap it. I'd go with Option 1, but if you are desperate enough, you can do a rent/swap.

shortly after Fable came out, someone I know bought it and opened it, thinking they were going to get an Xbox... and then decided not to. They sold it to me for $10. -

I loved every bit of the movie and I'd have to say the ending was one of the coolest movie endings ever! I want the next one... NOW! -
Batman Video Games; Begins discussion, etc here
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to AndrewTS's topic in Video Games
Yeah, I own the X-box one, I got it for $20 when I got my X-box back in November. It was only released on X-box and Gamecube and being the Batman mark I am, I picked it up, even if it was going to be terrible. I remember playing for a little bit and not thinking it was as terrible as I heard, but it wasn't great either. I'll have to go back and retry sometime soon because I am really blanking on how it even started, just kinda enjoying the fact it spawned from the comic. I personally really like Sin Tzu. Not too thrilling, just beat em up, but fun to mess around with, especially when you got a couple buddies over. -
Anyone ever been on a Gameshow?
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to spman's topic in Television & Film
I went to a Price is Right taping a few months ago. My friend got the tickets like a week before and then we showed up at like 7 AM. We were about 120 and they let like 150 in. It was an extremely long day,c considering we got there at 7 and the taping doesn't start til like 3. I had a shirt I thought was going to help get me in, but it turned out it hurt me and I forgot the reason why til I was told. I made a shirt that said "Bob Barker - God's Gift to Women". All the old ladies loved it and told me it was true and tried to give me their granddaughter's phone numbers. I laughed it off and said it was alright and then they asked if I was more interested in older women... it kinda frightened me. Good thing there were those college girls from Georgia talking to me after.... but anyway.... It hurt me because I forgot about the whole lawsuit over sexual harrassment. It's a long day, but kinda fun. You tend to get on if you either have A) A big group with matching t-shirts or B) Overly quirky. The day I went we had an African-American lady that embodied every stereotype and was dancing and yelling the whole the time... everyone in line knew her name (my girl Betty) and she kept running back and forth. She got picked but never made it to the stage. We also had people with "funny accents", like an overly boring Texas guy and some lady with a foreign accent. -
maybe I missed it, but where did this news come from? Stallone writing a movie on Biggie and Tupac makes me really think this is phony. Along with the savage animal turned domesticated middle-class man.

Vince's mentailty for the ECW ppv (I'm SCARED!!)
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
So you guys are telling me you would be disappointed if the PPV ended with Tomko, Snitsky and Maven standing tall above the ECW roster as the show ends. Sidenote I just thought of... Maven and Simon Dean were a team as recent as a few weeks ago. Maven is Anti-ECW, Dean will be there as part of the bWo. Are they just going to go Blue Blazer and pretend he is not the same guy? -
That one works on so many levels... I don't think anyone could dream of topping that.
-
Is it just me, or does it seem weird that Angle is against ECW because they showed no morals, bitching about the crucifix and two seconds later, starts bringing up that he wants to rape someone?

seen quite a few of the ones I was thinking of. For basketball, I say to extent Damon Stoudemire and Marcus Camby. Don't get me wrong, Stoudemire had a few good years in Portland and Camby is as great a role player as you can get, but they are no where near the hype they got early in their careers. Camby is a nice addition player, but was made to be a star with the number pick in one of the best draft classes in recent history (AI, Nash, Antoine Walker, Kobe, Marbury, Ray Allen, Peja, and more). For baseball, I don't remember if I saw Todd Van Poppell listed. Another guy I expected big things to happen for was a Red Sox prospect Greg Blosser. He was the 16th pick in the draft, had some pretty good numbers in the minors, only was in the bigs for two seasons I believe. Another guy, in a Marcus Camby situation I would say is Trot Nixon. Don't get me wrong, I love Trot and he puts up good numbers when he is healthy, but I remember when he was in the minors, he was being called the next great Red Sox and the guy that would turn around the franchise.

sounds like a top prospect for the brilliant Danny Ainge! -
well, isn't Mark Henry supposed to be coming back soon? We could have the next big (literally) tag team on ours hands.

WWE will resign him tomorrow once they realize there is an online petition for his return AND it was signed by BIGNSASSY.

Rob Thomas - "Lonely No More": Ummmm.......
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Downhome's topic in Music
I haven't paid any attention to matchbox20 since the second album came out. I really enjoyed "Yourself or Someone Like You" before they got known by a good chunk of people and then it seemed like forever before they would release the new album. I listened to the second album once and really never listened to it again. They went from something pretty decent to being music you would expect to hear from a middle-aged man cruising about town in his Mercedes. They got more hype from Thomas' single with Santana, but I really haven't expected anything more from them since album two tanked in my opinion. -

(1) I can't be thte only one who thought it said Corey Hart, right? Yeah, I'm in my early 30's. Bite me... (2) Can Omarosa PLEASE just go away? (3)I'm gonna have to agree with Exslade - Salt was always hotter. I too thought of sunglasses at night. Who wants to start a pool of who in the show Canseco claims he injected first? -

Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to AndrewTS's topic in Television & Film
NC-17 is higher than R. NC-17 is no children under 17 whatsoever. For R, you need to be 17 to get in by yourself, but with an adult, you can still go in. NC-17 movies that were famous somewhat recently were Showgirls back in the mid-90s and Orgazmo, made by the guys who make South Park. There were a few others, but it is harder to get them into mainstream theaters. -

I was just curious as to who has seen Shattered Glass here and their opinions. It came out today on DVD and I feel it was a very underrated film. I heard some things that it was good, but not too much. I watched it and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I think because it was Lions Gate it didn't get much hype, but think this is definately a choice for a weekend renter a lot of people wouldn't know about. It wasn't really strict drama, as I feared it would be. It was genuinely entertaining throughout. Just wanted to see others opinions of this film, as besides who I watched it with (who also enjoyed it a lot), I haven't really heard any others thoughts.
