I voted no. It was fun "in the day", but it's over. The title wasn't even a title. It was very meaningless, often times didn't make PPVs, no really intriguing storylines and only seemed to hold down those who had it. The value started rising again with RVD and Undertaker holding it so long, but then it took a jump down with Maven. I don't have a problem with Maven, so I didn't mind, thought it was kind of interesting, especially after the somewhat elevation, but from when he got it, it just went down and ended up being worse than ever, not necessarily because of him, but just how it was handled. I loved the concept and matches back when it was new, but it got too stale and as much as I think there should be a few more titles available to help guys, I just don't see this helping anyone, therefore having no point.

Best Hulk Hogan vs Undertaker match?
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to a topic in General Wrestling
The shock factor and all surrounding the match at Survivor 91 makes me lean to that one. I think that could've lead to some interesting stories, but they gave the belt back to Hogan that Tuesday in Texas. However, that's okay, because that lead to the vacating which lead to the Flair reign and the Flair/Macho feud, so in the long run, it was alright. -
Best ever Hardcore Title match
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to King Cucaracha's topic in General Wrestling
I liked the previously mentioned Snow/Road Dogg. I thought the Battle Royal from Wrestlemania 2000 was kinda fun, although it has been a while since I've seen it. I can't really think of any thing else that great that wasn't covered... -
Who's your favorite under-rated wrestler?
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Garth's topic in General Wrestling
This thread always makes me think of a couple years back. I'll probably get made fun of for this, but I always saw potential in Lo Down. Well, pre-Tiger Ali Singh jobber city Lo Down. I was always a HUGE D'lo mark and I thought him and Chaz were an interesting team and could have been good to freshen the mix, but they left them on Jakked with Kaientai and then saddled them with Singh. Current days... hmmm.... Rico is very under-utilized and I think they should do more with Hurricane. I think Shannon Moore needs a little more than jobbing lackey, although now I guess he seems slightly more important with Crash below him in the Mattitude chain. -
Probably not too obscure, kind of recent too, but one I bring up when people are trying to find a comedy, to think of something no one has really seen, Buying the Cow. It has Jerry O'Connell, Bill Belemy and Ryan Reynolds. It has its moments (i.e. Ryan Reynold's "Spider-man" scene).

working in a movie store I actually did see it for the heck of it and it wasn't that bad. Not too sure on Bow Wow's ability, but I was very surprised in the movie in general. I thought it would be horrible and it was kind of fun, like the old Angels in the Outfield and Rookie of the Year movies only with basketball and a hip hop twist. It was much better than I thought. Bow Wow comes across pretty much like most child actors, rather than a rapper/actor. I'd say an alright one, but not stand-out, but it's been a while.

What DVDs do you think will become OOP...
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to a topic in Television & Film
As of someday last month I believe, they were putting all the Toy Story discs into the vault, much like they do with other titles. They "lock them in the Disney Vaults" for a few years and later re-release with new covers a few years down the road. They did it in the fall with I believe The Little Mermaid and a few others. -
I remember seeing Big Show and Jericho on Nickelodean's game show "Figure it Out" hosted by Summer Sanders. It was in their WCW days. Quasi-celebrities would have to figure out the talent or collection or whatever of the kid guest and if they didn't, the kid won prizes. It usually consisted of celebrities from their shows, but these two appeared in some of their "Sports Weeks" and stuff.

I know Hulk has only been out a few days, but I was wondering if anyone has played it yet. I've been thinking about getting it, I've been on this kick of buying new games. I rarely had time to play and now I have a ton, so I've picked up about 7 in the past week and a half maybe and I was thinking of getting Hulk while all these deals are on (several stores offer a free gift card with purchase of the game). Has anyone played it yet, what are your impressions?

I ended up picking it up while all these posts were being made... I haven't opened it yet, still thinking it through. We'll see. Sometimes I just have fun with those games, I got a while to figure it out.

Do you own any DVDs you have never seen...
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to a topic in Television & Film
I have a ton I have bought without ever seeing and some I saw on rental or in the theaters and bought but never watched my own copy. I have a ton of those. I tend to pick up several DVDs though and often end up getting a few I haven't seen. I can't remember the last time I bought a VHS and I still have some I haven't seen, cause I used to do the same thing. -
He was in an "I Quit" match, but before the mega push. It was him as Face DX member vs. Corporate Rock for the World Title night after Royal Rumble 99. He lost to save Chyna who thanked him by joining the Corporation.

I was playing a Slobberknocker with Benoit and clearing through everyone. Tajiri came in and gave me a hard time and I ended up battling Tajiri for a while in what would be like a **** match in real life. It was so awesome. I eventually got past him, but got beaten a little later from all he took out of me.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling I may want to rent that....

I'll never forget when I was a mark and still thought it was all real despite what others said and had a subscription. I got the issue with the Preview for King of the Ring 95 and it had the full bracket, except that the last qualifying match (Lex Luger vs. Yokozuna) hadn't happened yet and they had Yokozuna in the tournament list! Because of the angle they went with Bulldog/Owen drawing and then changed it to their tag partners, the match got delayed and I saw Yoko placed. I tried to talk myself into thinking it was a lucky guess when Yoko won, but... my visions were still shattered... okay, maybe the vision shatter is extreme, but that was a slightly on topic little story.

oops, not thinking. I did Smackdown 4.. sorry...

It was supposed to come out last Tuesday and the pushed back release date on Blockbuster computers is now 12/31/2003. My guess is it will come out earlier. Sandler's Punch-Drunk Love was supposed to be out that week too, but got pushed back to sometime in June according to the same computers.

I beat it once as Kurt Angle. I beat up the first guy to get my meter thing really high and then every guy after that I did clothesline, Angle Slam or Ankle Lock and if that didn't work the other one. I beat it. I got up to 90 with a similar strategy with Brock Lesnar, and then got beat late in the game by I think Jericho.

Friday I picked up a couple more: Jackass: The Movie Bourne Identity 40 Days and 40 Nights Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey Wild, Wild West I got Wild, Wild West because I was able to get it for very cheap and I found this place to sell some of my old VHS (mainly the ones that I get the DVDs of) for a decent amount of money.

Tonight I picked up: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets The Transporter

What's your fave 'Hannibal' flick?
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Yuna_Firerose's topic in Television & Film
I loved Hannibal in Bad Company... wait a second... but seriously, this may be off topic and sound pretty dumb, but I've never actually seen a Hannibal Lector movie. It seems like I am missing out, as I hear they are really good, I just have never been too huge into "bloody/gory" movies... I don't mind them as much lately. So someone that hasn't seen one, should they start in order of release, i.e. Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal then Red Dragon, or in order of story which I believe is Red Dragon, Lambs, Hannibal? -
Spirited Away is pretty good. I saw it the other night and I can definately see why it won the Oscar for Animated. Awesome animation and good story... my only thing is it was so long... it just seemed to seem to last really long at points, maybe cause I was tired but a 2 hour cartoon did seem like a lot going into it, but I'd probably see it again... Saw Drumline, that one is better than expected, if going to rent a movie for the heck of it, might be a good choice... Transportal I am going to see tonight, as I have a connection to advance rentals. Benefits of being employeed by a video store. That's how I saw the other two.

1991 Rumble also had a similar cartoon poster/cover.
