Movies so bad that they're good.

Three words : FREDDY GOT FINGERED I don't know, this movie is so horrible and I know it, but that makes it all the more amusing. I don't know. I bought the VHS Pre-Viewed Blockbuster because I got it for free in a buy 2 get 1 free sale and was so amused by the lousiness, later one I would buy it on DVD. I don't know, I've seen this movie a few times now, just because it is so terrible and so dumb, for some reason I enjoy it.

    According to a WWE poll

He didn't die that I know of. The closest reason I could think of where this could be confused was one of his stablemates and tag team partners from the West Texas Rednecks, Bobby Duncam Jr. died close to when the stable had been together.

    Old School

my local newspaper actually gave it 4 out of 5 *s... which surprised me... even though it is awesome, I just never expected a reviewer to rate it that high...

    Old School

I loved it. I don't want to say specific moments because there was no spoiler posting, but there were quite a few good ones. I haven't seen a movie in the theaters that funny in a while. That one is a definate buy for me, but that'll be quite a while, so I may just have to hit it in the theaters again.

Want to get some cool shit released on DVD?

Newsradio Diff'rent Strokes (Naturally, look at my "gimmick") Who's the Boss Just Shoot Me Silver Spoons I threw the last one in. I was going to put Bewitched, but then I figured if they only picked the top few vote getters, my guess is Bewitched will get a lot of votes. Newsradio is such a great show though and you gotta love Gary Coleman and Tony Danza.

    Mitch Hedberg

cool, I didn't even know he had a CD. I've seen him on Letterman and I think Conan and I've seen some of his Comedy Central stuff and he is one of my favorites. I can't stop laughing when he is on. Just the way he delievers stuff like "I can't wait til this set is over. I have a roll of Lifesavers in my pocket... and pineapple is next" Just the way he said it kept me laughing, along with all his other material.

    Nathan Jones Detained At Airport

Too bad he's not on the RAW Roster... I mean, all that time in prison, I'm sure him and Bradshaw would've gotten along REAL nice.....

    Rey Mysterio Video

This might be the first WWE one in a while I'll have to get right away. I agree, masked Mysterio had a lot better matches, but there were some good unmasked ones too. I really liked that match with Flair mentioned above for some reason and some of the matches from the last PPV in the Cruiserweight Tag Tournament I heard were good. I wouldn't mind seeing a few maskless, but any Mysterio DVD is going to make me happy. Just watch, now that I said that it is going to turn into the best of Mysterio vs. Albert....

Ripping themes off of the Smackdown: SYM game...

cool idea. 100 on Slobber Knocker wasn't too hard for me for some reason though and I consider myself horrible at games. Although I guess I kinda cheated. I took Kurt Angle and really faught my way through the first match and then beat the guy. Then, every other match, I'd still have enough finishers left and it got to the point, when I'd hit my finisher, I'd have enough for another. It basically took two finishers to either KO a guy or be able to pin him, which counted. Some guys would even go on one. As they'd run in the ring, I'd run at that, do my running attack, pick them up and hit the Angle Slam (Angle Slam worked faster than Angle Lock). The video was a couple minutes of Lita, Torria, Ivory, Stacy, Trish and even Molly in bikinis, probably from the Diva videos, set to the RAW Theme, Union Underground's "Across the Nation". Although, my main thing is, I still don't have any memory cards, so when I do, I am going to have to do this all over again.

    PRIDE FC Game

I got the demo that they advertised as the first 5,000 who take a survey can get. It has four characters, I played it a couple times, generic demo in the fact few characters, one kind of match you can play, but you can see the whole set up. I don't know much about PRIDE, but the demo was fun, I may just get it. Plus, some people I know like Shamrock are on the actual game. The name on the demo I was most familiar with was Frye. I can't think of the other 3 because it is in my room, but they had representative of a few different styles between the four, Frye for wrestling, a kick boxer and some guy with some form of martial arts. I can't remember it all off the top of my head, but it's pretty cool. Definate renter.

    "Lasts" thread

Just for the heck of it... what was the last Movie You Saw In the Theater and DVD You Bought For me, the last movie I saw in the theater was "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind". Last DVD I bought, well, I got two the other night... I picked up "South Park:Bigger, Longer and Uncut" and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back".

    Great Tape deals

My real big hit which pushed my collection was a few years ago. I had found a ton of old Colleseum Videos and stuff at a Video Update and they were really cheap. I ended up leaving with 16 videos I got for $40, actually, I got 17 on the day for $41, because of a video I had found earlier. The day had started and I stopped by a Factory 2 U (I still don't know why). I found a Sgt. Slaughter AWA tape with no price, I asked them if they'd sell it to me, so they told me to find a video with a price tag, so I brought up some cheap Crayola video they were charging a dollar for and they said that worked. I went to the Video Update, gotta try to remember the 16 I got that day, that was a great day... Summerslam 1990 Survivor Series 1990 Summerslam 1992 King of the Ring 1993 Summerslam 1993 Survivor Series 1994 Spring Explosion (IYH Feb 96) Wrestlemania 13 WWF SuperTape Vol. 2 WWF WrestleFest 91 WWF Invasion of the Body Slammers World War 3 96 (actually 95, the first one, tape says 96) Hog Wild 1996 Starrcade 1997 (the Hogan-Sting one) Road Wild 98 Uncensored 99 I mean, Video Update does some cut box, but I thought that was a good day, plus I got some rare ones. One place I did really good was this chain that was closing, I found out when I just casually stopped and managed on seperate trips to pick up a bunch of the old stuff, such as Rumbles 89, 91, 92, 93, Survivor Serieses 92, 93, Summerslam 91 and stuff, all for really cheap. A couple bucks a piece. Apparently there was another guy besides me just coming in taking our turns at buying the stuff. There was another one of those stores still open last I knew and I picked up original box copies of Wresltemanias IV and VI for pretty cheap.

Jobber and JTTS Hall of Fame

Naturally one would say Barry Horrowitz, already been said. I think Chris Candido should get the honorary "Jobber to the Jobber" award, for having to job to Barry as Skip all those times.... I mean, it wasn't even the two guys who never win, it was this guy who they slightly pushed losing to the guy everyone knew had never won a match in tons of years with the company. Chris Candido/Skip for Jobber to the Jobber

Wal Mart Discounted WWE Videos / DVD's

I've seen a few DVDs of WWE at Wal Mart before, not at bad prices, around $14.44. I've seen Hogan (although that one was a little more), KOTR 2002, Vengeance 2001 and Rebellion 2001, but I've yet to see any since rumors of this sale. A long time ago I bought the 3 pack with Hard Knocks, Cheap Pops, Hell Yeah and People's Champion, but that's been a while. So pretty much, I've seen them, but not since the sale has been rumored.

    The ever illusive Giant Gonzales

And I laughed for days... seriously... that was hilarious. I litterally had tears rolling down my face.

    Worst live experience.....

I went to a Smackdown taping back in October and it wasn't too bad... it was more interesting. Just the mark I was sitting next to. He was definately in his 40s, but major mark. We had a dark match of Shannon Moore/Spanky (which I think was one of the ones to get Spanky his contract). It was one of the best matches of the night, not even televised. This guy was trying to tell me how boring it was because we got "Some new guy vs. Some no name". I explained "Well, Moore is new to WWE, but did you ever see him and Hurricane team up in WCW in 3 Count with another guy". He told me he never would watch WCW because there was no Undertaker. I told him how Spanky was one of the hottest names on the independent circuit and I don't think he was understanding the indys, which I guess I can understand because I mean, I consider myself pretty knowledgeable, but do not know too much about indys, other than some of the big names. He wouldn't give it the time of day because he wasn't familiar with them. One of the best matches of the night though. He was still nice however, but I think he got irritated when my friend and I were marking out for "Mattitude" beating up the Undertaker.

Who won't make the Wrestlemania card?

I know not many people liked it, but I really liked Wrestlemania 2000 when they encorporated everyone. Granted, the show gave us a ton of tag matches and I can't really think of any straight up one on one matches besides Terri vs. The Kat off the top of my head, but I think with something as big as Wrestlemania, it's a lot of fun to see everyone, even if they are just thrown in some Battle Royal or something.

    Anyone else catch this?

Yeah, it really was. D'lo attacked, it was still going on and Test countered. Then it was an abdominal stretch and Kimmel came from the ramp. I didn't understand the move set or anything and didn't see it on TV, so I didn't see how it played out. No one really got it, because we didn't get the audio. He came out, hugged Stacy while Test was "stretching" D'lo and left. Then it didn't even air, so, no one got it until now I guess.

Last time a title win truly shocked you?

One I'd mention that hadn't really been mentioned was the Jeff Hardy Intercontinental Title win over HHH. Just never thought it would happen. Of course, he jobbed it right back shortly. Pretty much most of the 2001 IC title changes were not expected (main eventers a la HHH and Kane, Jericho, Benoit going back for it, people like Storm and Albert), but Hardy's stood out most of all.

    Anyone else catch this?

Yeah, I actually made an account last night to explain this in depth, because I was there when it happened, but I had to wait for the whole account to register. It was at the 1/6 RAW in Phoenix. Test beat Nowinski, who had D'lo in his corner, after we went to commercial, D'lo ran in the ring, a couple exchanges and Test took the upper hand. Test locked him in and someone came down the ramp, it was Kimmel. He got a big chant of "Man Show". We didn't know what it was, but I think Kimmel's parents are from around the area, so I think that's what a lot of people were assuming. I guess this is where it showed up.
