Nice.

Rob Conway looked like a gay biker last night on RAW. Seriously.

Hey, it worked for WCW, didn't it? DIDN'T IT? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I never watched WCW... when was this and who was Champ?

funniest things you heard from marks
David Blazenwing replied to slabinskia's topic in General Wrestling
A friend once told me that the current Kane is a new guy and the old Kane is wrestling as Abyss in TNA right now. How does that explain the size difference? lol Another fun time... RAW house show, early 2004, probably a week before the RR. Molly Holly is defending the Women's title against Lita, and the whole time, these two kids are sitting behind me and my friends screaming (literally, at the top of their lungs), "FUCK YOU MOLLY, YOU'RE A FUCKING WHORE, I HOPE YOU DIE, YOU FUCKING BITCH!" I turn around to say something to them (they were totally ruining the match, and a few people had already moved)... and they were two little four year old kids (couldn't have been more than four), sitting WITH their parents! I mean, damn, if I would have said anything like that around my parents at that age... well, it wouldn't have been pretty, that's for sure. -
Two words: Kerwin White. But seriously... WTF kind of gimmick is that? Maybe that's one that should not have been spoiled, but not have happened at all.

Eddie turning on Rey earlier this year.

The plan is already to bring back SNME as part of the deal over to USA actually. It starts something this fall/winter. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Odds are it'll just be the replacement for Heat/Velocity. The first ME of SNME will be the Heart Throbs vs. Hurricane and Rosey or Paul London vs. Juvi.

Being the top rated show on UPN is a little like being the valevictorian at a school for the mentally handicapped. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank you. I just spit chocolate milk all over my keyboard.

So who were the hooded men who made UT their bitch
David Blazenwing replied to JasonX's topic in The WWE Folder
The scary thing is when I saw the first two guys in the ring attack UT, my first thought was "Hey, they remind me of the guys who dressed up like dicks in TNA", that of course being the Shane Twins. I can't believe I was right, lol... as far as Val goes, wtf? Was he part of the trade to SD? If not (and I'm too lazy to be bothered to look right now) then I have to assume they ran a guy short and had Val do it, being a Supershow and all. Easier to hide when he's a RAW guy. -
I've been thinking about this for some time... there are 2 events from RAW in 2002 that, in my opinion, changed the face of WWE from what it could have been. My question is, what do you guys think would have happened had these events NOT happened? 1. Stone Cold Goes Home Fresh off a win over Ric Flair, the following week's RAW would see Stone Cold bossing Flair around as his personal servant for the night. Of course, this never happened, as Austin left before the show started and did not return until February 2003. The Repercussions Alright. To cover the ass of Stone Cold (and quickly struggle to come up with a new program, as the Austin/Flair thing was set to take up several segments during the show), Vince McMahon came out and called out Flair. Later that night, he defeated Flair (with the aid of Brock Lesnar) to become the 100% Owner of WWE. What Could Have Been... I think that, had Austin not walked out, McMahon and Flair would not have battled and there would still be McMahon/Flair on RAW and SD, as I had not heard anything about merging into one owner until it happened that night. On another note, we might not have had General Managers, at least not at that point in time. So, I guess Eric Bischoff can thank Stone Cold for getting him a job. 2. And here comes Big Kev- *Quad Tear* One of the marquee matches at Summerslam was set to be a heel Kevin Nash against face Triple H, after Triple H turns down the nWo invite at Vengeance. With Nash now injured, this ceased any chance of the nWo working, and the neutered version with HBK, X-Pac and Big Show was destroyed the following week by McMahon. As for Triple H... he moved to RAW, turned heel on HBK and began his first of many... many... reigns as their new World Champion. The Repercussions Triple H, the WWE's biggest face at the time (not counting Hogan), was forced to go heel and replace Nash with a face HBK in what ended up being one of the best matches of the year all while being moved over to RAW. What Could Have been... But had Nash not been injured, Trips would not have turned heel (at least not then) and likely would have remained on SmackDown! as one of their top faces. We also might have been spared his nine month title reign in 2003. So yeah. What do you guys think? Had these two events not happened, would WWE be different today, and how?

I've been told Beyond Good and Evil is a great game, but I've never played it. It's dirt cheap at most places, but I'm not interested in the supposed political storyline. I'm not into politics in the least, so hearing that was a bit of a turnoff. But almost every other game mentioned here I've played, which I find funny. Also, FF VII and Zelda 64: OOT are the two greatest games ever. Until Twilight Princess comes out for the GC, anyways.

If Edge came out unnannounced, speared Batista and won the World title moments after he beats JBL at GAB, I would totally mark out.
-
Batista vs. Brock Lesnar would be an awesome match, IMO. And if not Lesnar, then a returning Faarooq, leading to the inevitable Faarooq vs. Bradshaw main event at WrestleMania 22. ;P

TNA scores DVD distribution deal
David Blazenwing replied to Placebo Effect's topic in TNA Wrestling
More importantly, WHEN will they be available? -
Mrs. Doubtfire is still one of my favorite movies ever, but I'm also skeptical on a sequel. A bad movie done for the sake of ticket sales could tarnish the first, just like Mask. Jim Carrey's version was a funny movie. The second one I refuse to watch, on the grounds that my eyeballs might melt based solely on the commercials I have seen for said film.

He's still fairly young, too, isn't he? I thought he was only mid thirties at most... too bothered to look it up right now. And I'm sure he'll be like other wrestlers, i.e. still hanging around WWE long after his in ring career has ended.

After the way they've built Christian up, I'll be really disappointed if he doesn't get the title over Cena sunday. I think what'll happen is Cena will nail Jericho with the F-U, then go for the pin, but the ref will be out. Cena stands up, boom, downward spiral from Hassan, Christian takes advantage and gets the pin over Cena while Jericho is still out. Remember, folks, you heard it here first.

Who deserves to be a World Champion but never has
David Blazenwing replied to zyn081's topic in General Wrestling
RVD. He's charasmatic, and entertaining, and I think that he could be good as Champion, if even only as a transition champ. For some odd reason, though, I see him with the World title, not the WWE title. -
Well, see, now you're assuming we all saw No Way Out. And after hearing about that, I'm not sure if I want to.
-
Which furthers my respect and admiration for RVD.
-
I gotta admit, I would love to see Monty in WWE, but he would probably just be misused and become another RVD/Booker T.

The OAO WWE Progress Discussion: Year-Half Edition
David Blazenwing replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in The WWE Folder
Best Worker I gotta go with Hurricane on this one. He can move in the ring, and if it wasn't for his size and mildly restrictive gimmick, I think he'd be a lot higher on the card that he currently is. Most Improved Hmm... a toughie. I'm gonna go off the page here and nominate Kane. The last year wasn't all that good (minus Benoit/Kane at BB) but in 2005, he's really impressing me. Seriously, give him a REAL title run. Spot of the Year Gotta go with Benjamin's ramp run off the ladder. That was just too tight, especially watching it live on PPV. Biggest Dissapointment JBL/Cena at WM 21. JBL dominates the whole match and Cena wins with, what, three moves? WTF? Most Fun to Watch/Best Match Tag Team Turmoil at Backlash. As a long-time Hurricane fan, it was a truly magical moment witnessing him and Rosey FINALLY winning the Tag Team Championships! Funniest Moment Anything from Viscera in the last month or so. The guy REALLY seems to want Lilian. And his singing voice ain't half bad, neither. Best PPV Backlash, if only for Hogan (though Hassan should have won the match to further his career) and Hurricane's long-needed title win. Seriously, the guy deserves so much more! And if you couldn't tell, yes, I am a serious Hurricane mark. -
I need it for my collection. NTSC region (United States, lol) and if anyone's got it, I'll gladly buy it from ya. Just PM me and let me know the details.

It's all a swerve. Bret Hart planned the entire thing.
