Carlito could be in my opinion...
David Blazenwing replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in The WWE Folder
My friend Mark and I have been saying for a while now (since probably a little after the Royal Rumble) that Carlito can be something special if he's marketed correctly. Myself, I've always been a fan of the faces, yet there are four heel personas I love - Jericho, Cena, Rock and Carlito. If he improves in the ring, I could see a Carlito Heavyweight title reign by 2007 or 2008. -
Nintendo Revolution's Power Estimates WRONG
David Blazenwing replied to Eclipse's topic in Video Games
Sounding like a mark or not... I can't wait to see the first WWE games on the new systems... if THQ still has the rights after PS3 comes out (my friend SWEARS that THQ is losing the rights, though I've heard otherwise) I'd love to see what they can do with the SmackDown (or SD vs. RAW, as it were) series with so much more powerful specs. (Maybe we'll actually get a compete roster, lol...) -
I would SO buy that PPV.

Hogan did a phone ad (don't remember what company, maybe the 10-10-whatever one) in 2003 near his return to WWE... I remember it had Alf in it, and Hogan was thinking.
-
So I'm trying to explain to a guy I know what the move is like, and I can't explain it for crap, and I KNOW there used to be a clip here (b/c I remember people had it in their avatars...) So does anyone still have it, or at the very least, know where I could find a clip of it?

I kept my Ps2 on my Xbox and my Cube on my PS2 (looked like a gaming pyramid) for nearly a straight year and still don't have problems with any of my systems (except the "disc read error" of the Ps2 once in a while, though cleaning off the lens will fix that right up). I did finally move all the systems to their own cubbys in an entertainment center a short time ago (the center I was waiting for while the game pyramid stood... lol)

Why did Undertaker leave Raw in late 2002?
David Blazenwing replied to iliketurtles's topic in The WWE Folder
I personally liked 2002... now 2003 sucked major ass. Like RD Reynolds on WrestleCrap said, he could probably write an entire book JUST on the year 2003 in WWE. -
And fairly good sized (and quality) to boot. Anyone got anything? I got nothin and need the pic for my e-fed.
-
Every pic is of him with the long hair. I found ONE with his short hair, but it's like at a press conference or something and it's, well, not the kind of pic I'm looking for.
-
They should just send everyone who bought a copy a new version, or have anyone who bought one return to the store they got it from in exchange for a new disc with no glitches and online play. They're the ones who messed it up, they should have to fork out some serious dough to fix the problem. It's their fault.
-
Jericho not so much, Christian definitely though. I wonder what Edge would look like with short hair? Also, I already tried WWE.com... all pics I've found of him there are far away shots and action pics, or they're too small... I want to find like a promo-type pic. There has to be one somewhere... I just suck at finding them.

Holy crap, Gamespot was REALLY hard on the game. And I've heard the patch for online WILL be out soon, so Gamespot.
-
I believe so, but only for created wrestlers... I could be mistaken though... That's right, just for created wrestlers. I'm pretty sure the real wrestlers can't be edited at all, even their movesets... which sucks. BTW, my Gamertag is Blazenwing, and I am SO ready to kick some ass in the SmartMarks Xbox Fed.

Amen, brother. Amen. GO PACK GO!

2005 WWE Television Win-Loss Record & Standings
David Blazenwing replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
LOL... Amy Weber gets to retire undefeated. That's great. -
Dude, Hogan would be cheered over Jesus. And I'm not talking about Carlito's bodyguard either. Oh, and tbondrage99, Hogan sucks. (LOL, j/k!)

Sadly, it's unlikely to happen. "Clone of HCTP?" Ew. Hope that doesn't happen. Good graphics and story mode--all it has going for it. Both games have huge problems. The Smackdown engine has always been poor and none of the upgrades are going to change that. For starters, I think they need to shitcan the piss-poor stat system of HCTP/SvR, personally. Then they can work on the screwed up counters, awful online play, poor collision detection, and other problems which they never got around to fixing throughout the series. For the 500,000th time, no. The issue was with Jakks Pacific. THQ still has a contract with WWE. It hasn't been nullified by the suit. Every single time an article was posted it mentioned that the issue wasn't with THQ themselves, but people choose to ignore that, creaming themselves over the possibility of WWE signing with EA. However, WWE *did* try to get out of that contract. That's cool. And I just saw a blurb in Game Informer that read "THQ to lose WWE license?" or something similar that referred to what you said about WWE trying to get out of the contract. Thanks for the update, though. I didn't know that. And yes, a Clone of HCTP... HCTP > No Mercy And I stick by that. No Mercy is fun, but can be REALLY fucking hard sometimes (that damn X-Pac!, and handicap matches are hell too), to the point where I don't even wanna play the game anymore. I've never had that with HCTP.

No need to cut people out of the game... that'll just mess it up. Do what they're doing for Halo 2 and release an expansion disc for the game down the line with updated arenas (like Wm 21, Backlash 2005, all the new ones) and some wrestlers not in the game, like Snitsky, Heidnereich, Carlito, etc... maybe even release two versions, a RAW disc and a SD disc, each with brand-specific superstars/arenas and maybe a legend or 2 tossed onto each disc for good measure. Sell each for 20 bucks (that's what the Halo 2 disc is gonna go for) and it'll make money. Or even better, just add it as downloadable content through Live.
-
Good, at least they're keeping it realistic then.
-
I was dissapointed with SD vs. RAW and after reading this wishlist, I demand that THQ take it as gospel. Or just turn SD vs. RAW 2 into a clone of HCTP with an updated roster. Either way. BTW, will THQ be doing SD vs. RAW 2? I know they're doing DoR 2 for the Cube, but I'm wondering... what about the lawsuit? Didn't they lose the rights to the games or did I miss something?

Now THAT'S how you book a WrestleMania main event. I would so pay 50 bucks for that.
-
Anyone know? I can't seem to find the info anywhere, but I'm assuming 45 bucks... I can't see them charging 50 like last year when it's only a four hour show as opposed to last year's five...
-
That would be fucking hilarious. WWE, MAKE IT HAPPEN.

"You can't say that on Television!"
David Blazenwing replied to Epic Reine's topic in General Wrestling
Thanks... that is NOT a mental image I wanted. Ugh. -
Ah... Matt Bloom's failed gimmick after A-Train... that's what they wanted to make him before they fired him, I'll bet. Then him and Orton could feud or something... eh, I got nothin.
