Most home DVDRs are designed to be used the same way a VCR would be. If you've ever taped from one VCR to another using A/V cables, the process is nearly identical. 1. Make sure a A/V output cable is connected from your DVDR to your TV. 2. Hook another A/V cable from the VCR's A/V output to the front inputs of the DVDR, and turn the VCR on (go ahead and push play, so there'll be an actual signal going from the VCR to the DVDR). 3. Cycle through all of the video input channels on the DVDR (either by pushing an "input" button repeatedly, or by pushing channel up and down on the remote) until you see the tape playing on the TV screen. 4. Choose a record speed and record using either DVD+R or DVD-R (depending on what type of machine it is). The record speeds on the DVDR will go from a 1-hour mode (best picture and sound) to an 8 hour mode (terrible picture and sound). I generally use the 3 hour speed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I want to thank you for your help. The problem was that I needed an extra A/V cable to run, as you said, from the VCR to the recorder and then from the recorder to the TV. Naturally, I didn't feel too good about things after the fact. I'm an educated man, I graduated law school, passed the bar on the first time, hell, I even qualify for Mensa, but I couldn't figure out I needed and extra fucking wire. How bright do you have to be? Apparently brighter than me. Thank you again for all your help, it really is much appreciated. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Welcome to America, where even the mightiest of geniuses can be brought to their knees by a small blinking electronic device.

Stupidest/Worst/Most Offensive Smackdown (Special)
David Blazenwing replied to Fuzzy Dunlop's topic in The WWE Folder
THANK YOU!!! The segment was hilarious, Eddie ties or not. My friends and I were laughing during almost the whole thing, and when they went through the set, my one friend who never swears busts out with a "Holy shit!". Good times. As for the reasoning... Eddie probably wanted his lowrider creamated after his death. Randy was obviously helping him fullfill his wishes. Seriously people, like RRR says, get over it. It's been said a million times, but it rings true... if you don't like the stuff on WWE, DON'T WATCH IT!!! -

Video Games that make you think of Eddie Guerrero

Gerweck (I think) said that Vince McMahon wrote a 1 page "In Memory of Eddie" opening for the book.

(in best Doctor Nick voice he can muster) Hi everybody! Seriously though, what up? It's been a while, but I still check in here from time to time. You all still got a great thing going. It's cool. I especially like your awesome website... despite it not being updated in forever... lol. So my question. What/where did you use to host it, create it, etc.? It's the kind of site I've been wanting for my fed for a long time, and right now, with all the problems I'm having with Angelfire, it's a great time to move the site elsewhere and create a new site and what not. So yeah... I await your answers, hopefully they'll be good. - Former SWF Jobber (yeah, like I was anything else) David Blazenwing

I'll buy. I'd need a little time though and proof that you actually have all this stuff. I'm not paying 200 bucks and getting ripped off. Say, send 25 bucks and get two raws, a smackdown and a PPV of my choice, then buy the rest when I get the first tapes?
-
Awesome. I was wondering why I kept getting those paychecks from SWF... After reading those shows... hmm. Nice. I'm going to assume that it's a fake Blazenwing though, since I would never do any of that for the most part (though I do agree that I am deluded, I am in fact stupid enough to take on J.J. Johnson, unarmed or not) I need to come back as the real DB at the next PPV and take this impostor out. Sounds like a match to me. EDIT: And hey, I AM still wondering about the website. Seriously.
-
You're right. I don't. As long as I was portrayed okay (and knowing my history with some of the members here, I'm a little skeptical) it's all cool. I wouldn't mind reading it though... where would I find it?

Local New Year's Revolution Ad (Spoilers)
David Blazenwing replied to strummer's topic in The WWE Folder
Vince: Yeah, Kurt... we've decided not to give you the WWE Championship at Survivor Series, because we think you're going to die within the next few months. Nice. -
Or this could just be a case of Vince SAYS they're going to check, and never does. Then if someone says something, he can say "we're currently running tests and doing a program" and then fire a cruiserweight who "tested positive". Also... You mean TWO-TIME WWE Champion Vince McMahon.

Segments that made you go WTF??
David Blazenwing replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in General Wrestling
Booker knew Eric was going to show up. He had to know to ensure the right reaction. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly because Booker's inital reaction wouldn't fly with the censors. Also, dont miss on the intentional irony of Booker T being the first to "see" Eric. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I never watched WCW... what irony? Sounds interesting. -
No it won't... they could have Hillbilly Jim vs. The Mountie as the main event and it would still get more buys than any other PPV of the year just because it's WrestleMania.

Smackdown Title situation updated
David Blazenwing replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
You know, I had a thought... storyline wise... what if this week during the title match, all the RAW guys ran in during the match and brutalized Batista, gets him up, Orton nails the RKO and gets the three and the title... and then defects to RAW? That would be an interesting storyline and would certainly twist things around for SmackDown... -
I was discussing this with a few friends earlier. The idea of a 3 or 4 disc Ultimate Eddie Guerrero Collection came up and it sounded like a good idea. Obviously though, if WWE were to release something like this too soon, people would accuse them of trying to cash in on Eddie's death. So how soon is too soon? How long would the almost required waiting period be? Because I gotta admit, this is something I would want as an Eddie fan. Another question... what would you include in the set? I mean, obviously, things like his Malenko match in ECW, vs. Rey at HH 97, the WWE title win over Brock, etc. are practically set in stone for a release of this magnitude and importance, but what else would you add? Maybe some rarer stuff, etc. I think the set itself should be three discs along the line of Flair's DVD, with an added fourth disc including both RAW and SmackDown! tribute shows in their entirety along with maybe some other extras as well.
-
Nice! Even with that though, I'D still put my money on Zombie Eddie too. You don't fuck with the living dead. *waits for the announcement that Buffy (or Leon Kennedy) will be in Batista's corner*
-
Remember, this is WWE... if they're not liked bby Vince, they're bad, no matter how good the crowd thinks they are. If it was Triple H instead of Edge doing the exact same skits, they would have been praised.
-
They've been airing this commercial for some time, actually... odds are, they won't change it, so you'll keep seeing Eddie/Batista for the World title promoted until the PPV ends. This is the same company that shot a Goldberg vs. HHH promo for Bad Blood 2003, then aired it fifteen minutes before the PPV aired (the ME was HHH/Nash, HIAC, of course, with Berg/Y2J on the undercard.)
-
The CD:ST DVD had a few good matches and stuff on it, but I'm talking the Flair-like set of over 10 hours of matches and stuff, plus interviews, the tributes, etc... the Ultimate Eddie Guerrero Collection. I do like your idea though, having the tribute shows on DVD in any form would be good and his family could benefit from the proceeds, that's the least WWE could do.
-
Damn, in one month? That would suck. Maybe Big Show eats them all, then explodes...?
-
Up to 5,030 now.

They should let Chavo use the "Lie, Cheat and Steal" theme with "Viva La Raza" in the beginning, since he did technically use it at one point as Los Guerreros and it would be a fitting tribute to Eddie as well.
