Bored's College Football Pick 'Em - Week 6

Agent Bond34 still is #1 although Spaceman Spiff is keeping it close. Poor CanadianChris' strength of schedule is murdered by DLK's 3 point effort this week. Good thing it's only 10% of the ranking this year. AoO is 5-1 but they have the easiest schedule to this point and are only 23rd in correct pick % so they still can't crack the Top 10. Cartman is only 3-3 but they are shining light in the god awful Pac-8 as they are #3 in correct picks. And don't look now but Edwin MacPhisto is making a charge. Bored Championship Series Rankings thru Week 6 1. Florida - Agent Bond34 2.4 2. Miami - Spaceman Spiff 2.9 3. LSU - teke184 5.45 4. Oklahoma - Damaramu 6.35 5. Georgia Tech - iggymcfly 6.85 6. This Week in College Football 10/4 - 10/8

I picked Cal but it is always a good day when they lose. Hell even Stanford won today. This was an fun, fun day of football. The aftermath of the Minnesota/Michigan game is what makes college football great with all the Minnesota players charging the Michigan sideline to get the Little Brown Jug. You never can get that kind of moment in the pro game.

For both nogodnick and DLK I can't count tonight's game or the tiebreak. I had put in the rule a few weeks ago that you had to get your full picks in by the first deadline or you wouldn't get credit for games before Saturday. Goodbye and nice to know you

Macha was no great shakes as a manager and the negotiations were purely for show in my opinion as there was already a rumor last offseason that Beane was tired of him, who he had been so high a few of years ago that he let Art Howe go. Bob Geren, who's the bullpen coach and has managed a lot in the minors, is the most likely replacement although it would be kind of nice to see Ron Washington rewarded with the job although I no clue if he'd make a good manager. I'm holding out hope for Larry Dierker, if he still wants to manage, but A's are unlikely to spend any significant amount to bring someone in outside of the organization.

True, but even in Win Shares Hudson ranked only 17th because of his poor offense. Really it's tough to find a defensive factor beyond Win Shares. Range factor and zone rating are both terribly flawed and I no idea where I'd be able to find UZR's for the 2005 season.
