So if the Blue Jays struggle again this year will Ricciardi be able to keep his job to reap the benefits of a supposed big increase in payroll after this season?

Rebels of Oakland select... Carlos Lee

You have Billy Wagner listed as a starting pitcher on my team. He's a closer.

How's autopicking going to work? Are we just going to hand the best player available to someone every time they miss their pick?

Rebels of Oakland select... Billy Wagner Will Scarlet is next

Sorry I'm going to have to wait until I get home from work to make my pick. It'll be a few hours.

So you never saw Oddibe McDowell play?

If you're at work and have high speed internet acces, MLB.com is showing the game for free. Watching it right now on my lunch break.

You know we did some how manage to get 16 people online at the same time last year and do the majority of the draft so I don't see why we couldn't pull it off again.

So the 30 day, 30 teams idea already killed? Anyways I'm assuming he was planning on going in reverse order of record last year so the Royals were the second shittiest team in baseball last year. Over/under on number of STDs Jose Lima gives to Kansas City women this year?

I think the projections out there for Pickering are a bit ridiculous. Hell Larry Sutton tore up the PCL last year as well. It'll be hard for him to beat out All-Star Ken Harvey for an everyday job. At least it will be hard in the mind of Tony Pena.

Who's Bobby Abreu? I only know All-Stars like Ken Harvey.

Ortiz was better in VORP, Win Shares, and ERA+ last season than Milton. Not that it's saying much.

Who will lead the league in doubles hit before 3:14 pm PST the night after they slept with a $5 crack whore? .... Okay a real question. Will this finally be the year that Barry Bonds starts to decline?
-
He's not no their 40 man roster or non-roster invitees so I'd assume he's done.
-
Yes I wasn't getting all the JRich hate last night or the dissing the dunk contest the last few years. Maybe his competition wasn't great but he made the contest entertaining on his own in recent years.

Kendall was certainly overpaid but he wasn't crippling the Pirates as McClatchy won't spend the money to make them competitive anyways. The Pirates organization is in awful shape with a terrible front office and terrible minor league system. This will be their 13th straight losing season (three short of the all-time record) and the future doesn't look bright. Yikes now who's really bitter?

When I first looked at the rankings I just scrolled down to see where the A's were and saw them below the Mariners. My first thought was "Who came up with this, Buster Olney?" Then I scrolled up... Does it have to be both? If it's just the Brewers I'm extremly tempted to take that bet.

Somebody needs to remind Greenwell that he wasn't even the best player on his team that year, Wade Boggs was.

Any possible "whistle blower" support Canseco could have gotten out of this has gone out the door with his stance that steroids are fine to use. Even if McGwire and the others did really do steroids it's a shame that the man that could tear down their legacy is Canseco.
