Yes, you have to finish with at least seven wins to be bowl eligible. Dead teams are not eligible for conference chamionship or bowl games. Florida and Tulane are both up big so I'm calling both of those games. Week 11 Final Results #6 UCLA (phoenixrising) 15, #9 Oregon (nogoodnick) 13 #10 Hawaii (Will Scarlet) 11, #7 Stanford (Bored) 11; Hawaii wins by tiebreak #1 Virginia (Edwin MacPhisto) 13, Miami (Spaceman Spiff) 12 #2 Minnesota (Vern Gagne) 13, Kent State (JHawk) 10 #3 Syracuse (Canadian Chris) 11, Michigan State (Dangerous A) 0; forfeit Arizona State (Spicy McHaggis) 12, #4 Washington State (bravesfan) 11 Maryland (MarvinisaLunatic) 11, #5 Ohio State (Gert T) 10 Alabama (AlwaysPissedOff) 14, #8 LSU (teke184) 11 Boise State (Vern Gagne/*dead team*) 13, USC (Cartman) 7 Florida (Agent Bond34) 13, Texas (Flyboy) 12 Boston College (HarleyQuinn) 11, West Virginia (Loaded Glove) 0; forfeit Notre Dame (Lando Griffin) 15, Bowling Green (iggymcfly) 9 Michigan (Mad Dog) 12, Penn State (therealworldschampion) 10 Georgia (A_MikeSC) 12, Auburn (Agent of Oblivion) 10 Oklahoma (Damaramu) 13, Tennessee (Kotzenjunge) 10 Florida State (2GOLD) 12, Rutgers (the pinjockey) 12; Florida State wins by tiebreak Conference Standings (conference record, overall record) Pac-8 1. You're right iggy the Big XII automatic bid goes to the Fiesta Bowl if the conference champ is not in the national championship game. I'm thinking about the possibilty of Utah vs. Boston College in the Fiesta Bowl and wouldn't it be bizarre that Utah would be playing a lesser quality opponent in that bowl than the would be playing in the Liberty Bowl (Louisville)?

We got bonus coverage of the Tech/A&M game on the west coast because there is some power failure in Wyoming delaying the start of the Utah game and I swear ABC must have had A&M home announcers doing the game. The postgame was like an A&M informercial.

No, I give a team two forfeits before they go dead. You'd be losing to teke at the moment if we did use his picks. Besides your strength of schedule isn't going to get destroyed as long as you picked well. Remember going into your SOS this week will be one point less than the number of picks you correctly make (i.e. if you pick 14 right, you'll get a 13 in the SOS).

I'm going to assume Auburn (up 24-0) and Kent State (up 48-3!) both win their games so here are the match-ups decided so far today: #3 Syracuse (Canadian Chris) def. Michigan State (Dangerous A*) by forfeit Boston College (HarleyQuinn) def. West Virginia (Loaded Glove) by forfeit #10 Hawaii (Will Scarlet) def. #7 Stanford (Bored); Will holds tiebreak Notre Dame (Lando Griffin) def. Bowling Green (iggymcfly); Lando holds tiebreak Florida State (2GOLD) def. Rutgers (the pinjockey); 2GOLD holds tiebreak * - Michigan State is now a dead team. teke184 will use his picks from the the final two weeks of the regular season.

Law of averages had Wisconsin losing one of their final two games. Of course I thought law of averages dictated Auburn losing today but I was way wrong on that one. Michigan vs. Cal, assuming it happens, is going to be a lot of fun in the Rose Bowl. Notre Dame continues to be impossible to figure out as they lose to Pittsburgh, 41-38. Even with the loss and very likely a 6-5 record staring them in the face (only have the game at USC left) they still are going to the Gator Bowl most likely. Apparantly the Gator Bowl officials have already made it clear they want Notre Dame against Florida State or Miami. Can't blame them from a ticket selling standpoint.

Auburn is making a serious statement today. No matter what side of the USC/that other team debate you are on, if Auburn goes undefeated they must be in the Orange Bowl. For those with any hope for their ever being a playoff you have to root hard for those three teams to run the table now as that truly is the BCS nightmare scenerio. Have to wait to see the highlights if it was a haily mary or not but Colorado beat Kansas State on a 64-yard touchdown pass with five seconds left in the game, 38-31.

It's all over: Temple 34, Syracuse 24 It's also pretty much all over for West Virginia as Boston College returns a punt back for a touchdown to put the game away, 36-17. BC needs just to win at Temple and at home against Syracuse to go to get the Big East's BCS berth in their final year in the conference.

I guess Temple wants to make a statement in the Big East before being booted out after this year. It sounds like there are more Iowa fans than Minnesota fans at the Metrodome. The Golden Gophers are lucky they are only down 23-10 as Iowa has just dominated them so far. San Jose State goes back up 21-14 on Boise State. Come on BSU is not a Top 10 team. They'll probably still win this game but they are struggling against maybe one of the Bottom 10 teams in the country.

    And So it Begins

If the Yankees do sign Milton the reported 3-year deal worth between $21 to $25 million then the I think officially the inmate (Steinbrenner) is running the asylum again. I have a lot of respect for Brian Cashman and I can't see him being behind this type of move on his own. Or maybe John Kruk is the GM of the Yankees now. Milton is going to be the next Andy Hawkins.
