4th and 4 at the Louisville 8. This could be the ball game. First down. Louisville is going to need a huge goal line stand to win now. Touchdown Miami with 49 seconds left. Louisville has all three timeouts.
-
Flipping through the new Sports Illustrated it said the Fiesta Bowl was "intrigued" by Utah and that they are open to taking the first non-BCS school to play in a BCS Bowl. Miami cuts the lead to 7.
-
Okay so much for Miami having arguably the best defense in the country. 31-14 Louisville. The Fiesta Bowl and Sugar Bowl officials are shitting their pants right now.

What's the over/under on how many times we'll hear the term "BCS Buster" tonight? As long as Brock Berlin is his typical self then Louisville has a shot especially with how dominate their defense has looked. Expecting a very low scoring game as even as good as Louisville's offense has been they are facing arguably the best defense in the country tonight.

Well I wanted to take into account counting numbers as part of it because playing the entire season has to count for something. I'd put him ahead of Lowell without the counting numbers.

Posada tied for 11th in DP rate with Vladimir Guerrero. See even the likely MVP grounds into a lot of double plays. I'll take any catcher who has a .400 OBP and slugs close to .500 and that was considered an off year by some people. I'm wondering if Al is feeling well though...he's defending Brad Ausmus! I can see the Buck argument since he played so little but no one can be ranked lower than Chad Moeller. I was surprised Lieberthal did come out that high as I had been under the impression he was having an awful year. Did he finish strong? First Base 1. Albert Pujols, Cardinals 2. Todd Helton, Rockies 3. Sean Casey, Reds 4. Mark Teixeira, Rangers 5. Jim Thome, Phillies 6. Paul Konerko, White Sox 7. Phil Nevin, Padres 8. J.T. Snow, Giants 9. Lyle Overbay, Brewers 10. At this point I'm not going to change it and again not enough people wanted change to justify changing the formula in the middle of the season. Besides what matters in the end is who is #1 and #2. Both Edwin and Vern have been among the best at picking games and they are tied for the toughest "schedules." BTW the using 50/25/25 formula would give little difference in the results: 1. Virginia 2. Minnesota 3. Ohio State 4. Notre Dame 5. Syracuse 6. Stanford 7. Washington State 8. West Virginia 9. Oklahoma 10. Oregon Teke's 50/30/20 suggestion would have also produced the exact same rankings. Hey it is weird having a 2-4 team ranked in the Top 10 but Will has picked well and faced tough competition. But if he he doesn't start winning some of the games he's not going to get to the Top 2. My guess is to play for the championship you have to go at least 9-4 and I don't see too many people putting up 10-3 or 11-2 records since we're already down to five teams with one loss or less.
