Exaggerate much? And are the Yankees home or away that weekend? Because how bad will AS freak out if his beloved Yankee Stadium is tarnished by this?? They're fucking home. So we can face the Padres of all teams. Impeach Selig. Hey Vito will be at the game!
-
No not until 2006.
-
Damn I have tickets to an A's game that weekend. You know Selig is chomping at the bit to rename the Expos after a corporation.
-
Yet another big lead blown by the A's. I shoud just not watch baseball the first half of the season, it'd make life so much easier.
-
Don't you feel silly now? The Big Two and a Half (Zito only counts as a half now) are in some funk right now. The A's did this last year in the first half too as when they would get good production from the offense, the pitching would implode and when they got great pitching (which was often), they couldn't score any runs. Oh well just have to wait for the usual second half surge although sure would be nice they could let A's fans relax most of the season.

First base in the N.L. is just loaded at the moment with six players with an OPS over 1.000 and Albert Pujols isn't one of them (.992). Tough position to crack at this point. Ya I know but when the player's are voting on this I doubt they'll be putting park factors into consideration. I seriously doubt Castilla will keep this up.

Hey I picked Delgado last year too. I'm assuming this is referencing the end of the 3rd inning. The A's simply have the biggest collection of bad base runners there is. Dye lucked out though as it looked like on the replay that Posada turned his head for some reason and didn't bother to make sure he tagged Dye. Wild play but then Durazo has to get greedy and make a bad base running decision himself. Actually good thing for A-Rod that Durazo didn't decide just run over him. After the way last week went not too confident with a four-run lead especially with Mulder not pitching well. Oh and another bad base running decision as I type this by Damian Miller. *sigh*

Check out Horacio Ramirez of the Braves bizarre statistics to this point: 0-3, 2.43 ERA, 14 SO, 19 BB So he's pitching like a pitcher who should have a much higher ERA with his terrible strikeout-to-walk ratio. But his ERA indicates someone who should have a much better record and least one win to this point. Then I noticed his last outing against Colorado: 3.1 IP, 5 H, 8 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 1 SO I wonder what the is record is for most runs given up with none being earned?

Hey look kids a week has past so time to update the All-Star selections. Like I said last week at this point in the season this means nothing, so who cares if Jack Wilson is listed now? Starters are in CAPS. Players with an asterisk next to them were not listed last week. One other note I do take into otherwise overrated statistics such as batting average and win-loss record into consideration since they are still treated like important statistics. The player's vote now but the way they picked last year didn't seem to indicate they are any different from the manager choosing the reserves in past years. Blame the system, not me! AMERICAN LEAGUE C: JORGE POSADA, New York; Ivan Rodriguez*, Detroit; Jason Varitek*, Boston 1B: JASON GIAMBI*, New York; Rafael Palmeiro, Baltimore 2B: RON BELLIARD, Cleveland; Alfonso Soriano, Texas 3B: TROY GLAUS, Anaheim; Hank Blalock, Texas SS: MICHAEL YOUNG, Texas; Juan Uribe*, Chicago OF: CARLOS BELTRAN, Kansas City; MANNY RAMIREZ, Boston; JERMAINE DYE, Oakland; Vladimir Guerrero, Anaheim; Rondell White, Detroit; Lew Ford*, Minnesota; Carl Crawford*, Tampa Bay Pitchers: KEVIN BROWN, New York; Curt Schilling, Boston; Javier Vazquez*, New York; Mark Mulder, Oakland; Tim Hudson, Oakland; Freddy Garcia, Seattle; Kenny Rogers*, Texas; C.C. Eric Byrnes. Miguel Tejada. Game 3. 2003 ALDS. Need I say more? Would have swept the series if those two had their head out of their asses although the umpires did screw up on the play as well.

Fuck you! Fuck you! Fuck you! Who's next?
-
People probably think I'm nuts but I'd like to see a 27 inning baseball game. It'd be interesting to see if a team would run out of players at some point.
-
56 points???? Sorry people can say it's the Pistons great defense all they want but an NBA team, let alone the two-time defending Eastern Conference champs, scoring only 56 points is an embarrasment to the sport. NBA Basketball...can it get any worse?

Good for Garnett. Always has been one of my favorite players and always hated how he received so much more grief for going straight from high school than Kobe Bryant did even though Garnett actually did need the money to support his family while Kobe didn't.

Wow not one person mentions Eight Men Out.

Burt Reynolds To Star In The Longest Yard Remake
Bored replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
Adam Sandler and Chris Rock? The hell? So they are going to make it a comedy? Oh this has bad idea written all over it but most remakes are. -
Snap judgment time...here are YOUR playoff match-ups if the season ended today. American League Chicago at Texas Boston at Minnesota National League San Diego at Houston Florida at Los Angeles The Texas Rangers are the best team in baseball. See why you don't pay attention to standings this early in the season?
-
That little piece of shit Frank Menechino was in the starting line-up today for the A's and I have no idea why. He is now 3 for 26, with just one walk, and a .294 OPS. The A's are now 1-7 when he starts. They are 11-6 when he has been on the DL or on the bench. Coincidence? I THINK NOT! He's a curse!!!!
-
It's definently Dodgers/Giants on the west coast. Honestly the only time (in my lifetime) I saw the A's as having a true rivalry going was in the late 80's and early 90's with the Twins when those two teams owned the American League.
-
The old terrible Jim Mecir is back as after giving up five runs his last outing to blow a 8-4 lead against the Yankees, he gives up four in the 9th as the A's win by the skin of their teeth 6-5 as Durazo's grand slam ends up being necessary to win it. For the life of me I don't know why Macha kept him in but hey way to shut them down after the four runs Jim!
-
Erubiel Durazo, where has your power stroke been all this time? Two homeruns last night and just hit a grand slam in the 9th to put the A's up 6-1 on the Devil Rays.

Didn't take long for A.J. Pierzynski to get his teammates to hate him. http://www.oaklandtribune.com/Stories/0%2C...18249%2C00.html I hate Jackass A.J. and I hate the Giants so I'm LOVING this.

Are they really doing that? Good lord. You know with all the ESPN talk in this folder we might be able to create a whole seperate folder for what is wrong with ESPN.
