Oh Miami won't even drop out of the Top 5 and USC is the only team for sure that will move ahead of them. LSU I think is the team that will benefit the most because some voters will move Florida State down to keep Miami ahead of them and no one will want to move Ohio State up in the polls after just barely beating an awful Penn State team. Oh and Angleslayer you are dead on about the early and late season loss thing. I mean if Oklahoma were to get run the table but then get upset in the Big 12 Championship (not likley to say the least) they would be in danger of dropping out of the Top 2 simply because they lost late in the season. Oh and on non-related note Arkansas and Kentucky are going to a 6th "overtime" on ESPN2. The record is seven.

Not to brag but I used the Smackdown setting since getting it just because in past Smackdown games it was still a little too easy even on the hardest setting. I struggled using Matt Hardy on it in my first season and dominated with the occasional loss on the 2nd season with Goldberg. Its not THAT hard after playing on it for a while but it is more of a challenge than past games. Definently on this version who you use has a bigger impact than past games as it really didn't matter who you did use as long as it wasn't a "diva" in the older versions.

I guess I should throw in what I know about the A's at this point. Tejada is pretty much good as gone but it sounds like they may end up signing Foulke and that he will give the A's a discount. It could all be b.s. at this point but at least they are apparantly talking. Jose Guillen also wants to stay, at least has said so, but he's not a Billy Beane type of player and of course don't know if last year was a complete fluke or not.

I want USC in the Sugar Bowl but the part of me that wants the BCS to go away would looooooooove it if Florida State gets the #2 spot to be OU's whipping boys for a 2nd time. *cough* Tournament. *cough*

Damn I had a migrane and had to lay down for a while and turn the t.v. back on and see Miami down 24-0. Barring a miracle the shit is just about to hit the fan in the BCS. USC I think definently moves up #2 in both voter polls but the major thing is to see how far Miami falls. I wouldn't vote Florida State higher than them but some people will since Miami is just getting killed...31-0 now just as I type. Miami did have a fairly large margin over Florida State for the #2 spot in the BCS coming in. Also how far will Virginia Tech move up now and do they now have a case for playing in the Sugar Bowl? The odds of them getting there are slim and none since they fell all the way to #16 after the West Virginia loss. Got to love CONTROVERSY~!

OHHHio State pulls out the sledge and wins 21-20 over a pathetic Penn State team. Quarterback Scott McMullen just said God caused Penn State to miss the field goal at the end. Good lord. Bye, bye Georgia from the national championship picture as they lose to Florida AGAIN. UCLA is upset by STANFORD~ 21-14, ending any hope of a surprise Rose Bowl bid as they still have Washington St. and USC on the schedule.

You always have to reminisce about the decade before the last one. If they had done "I Love the 70's" during the 90's it would have done bigger ratings. At least that's my theory. I think for "I Love the 80's" they could do a half-hour series for shit they haven't covered. Could easily do 10-12 episodes.

Are you using cruiserweights only? The game has a realistic feel to it with the heavyweights always being able beat cruiserweights...well realistic in the WWE world. I used Matt Hardy my first season and it was a pain in the ass just beating Rikishi. I did my second season with Goldberg, also to make more money to unlock everything, and was easily beating every smaller guy.

Bah, the biggest game in the country is the only match-up of two Top 10 teams that being USC/Washington State despite ABC's stupid decision to make it a west coast only game. On the surface people would probably think its a bigger game for Wazzu but if USC loses they go from potentially playing in Rose Bowl or Sugar Bowl to playing in the Sun Bowl. If they lose and UCLA wins as expected against Stanford then USC would be two games back of both Wazzu and UCLA for first in the Pac-10. For a big conference the Pac-10 has lousy bowl choices (after the Rose Bowl of course) so this is a must win for USC. Wazzu on the other hand would still be in the race for the Rose Bowl even if they lost.

Greg Kragen, a former all-pro defensive tackle for the Broncos went to my high school in Pleasanton, CA. If you watch the Super Bowl XXIV highlights he's the guy swearing a lot. Keith Millard, a jackass former defensive tackle for the Vikings during the late 80s and early 90s went to the other high school in town. Randy Johnson, okay he's not exactly from my hometown or otherwise I'd list him first. He's from the next town over in Livermore, CA and I did live their for a few years. Oh and there was a guy I went to high school with and graduated the same year named Scott Peters who was an All Pac-10 offensive lineman at Arizona State and he was drafted by the Eagles last year but went to see if he was still there but looks like he's already out of the NFL. He was basically your typical dumb jock.

I'm afraid Stanford might be overrated but they weren't supposed to be good last year and they return almost the same team that won 24 games. Mike Montgomery will just have to keep working his magic.

Actually Cirillo was a good hitter in Milwaukee as well and only slugged about 15 points higher in Colorado. Never put up huge numbers but always had a high batting average and hit lots of doubles before the last two years with Seattle.

Yes dogging it and having to sweat out wins against Vanderbilt and UAB is not the sign of a national championship contender. Besides my thing has always been if two teams have the same number of losses but they played head-to-head, the winner of that game should always be ranked higher than the loser.

Hey if they cut out the last hour and 53 minutes of the show then it would have been the best Smackdown ever.

Ummm so what happens to the two matches they cut out from the original taping? They show them on Velocity? If they do that'd give Velocity the edge in number of matches this week, 5 to 3.

Three matches? Just seeing the show now on the west coast but the spoilers had a handicap match with WGTT and FBI and a tag match with the Bashams and Rikishi & S2H. Not that I was dying to see those matches but what the fuck? I've never heard of them cutting out two matches from the same show.

Well that was only 2nd game of the season and it was on the road. Washington themselves only lost one game that year so they also had a beef. That's the problem with the BCS is it can't take into account if two similarly ranked teams played head-to-head and who won. The BCS only "works" when you get two major conference undefeated teams like last year.

Anyone have their game freeze during season mode? Mine just did after a tag match during the faction angle with me being Matt Hardy & John Cena vs. Undertaker & Brock Lesnar in the 1st week of November. Match ended and the screen went to black like it was going to the load screen but just stayed on black. Good thing that they have the new autosave feature at the end of every month so its just one week lost but damn it was a 20 minute match. Hope this doesn't become a frequent thing.

Here's old for you: -Tracy McGrady is now in his 7th year in the NBA and I'm almost eight months older than him. -I've seen Reggie Jackson and Kareem Abdul-Jabar play in person. -I remember when the football Cardinals played in St. Louis. -I remember when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Mariners were the laughing stocks of their sports. Okay the Clippers still are in the NBA. -At my first A's game ever they still were wearing their gold (err yellow) jerseys. Dave Kingman was batting clean up for the A's. Mark McGwire was still three months from making his major league debut.

I already pointed this out in another post but look at the spoilers, it has Elix Skipper in the first match of the night so that means dark match not Velocity. Also the second match listed has Sean O'Haire and he's been on dark match duty for a couple of months now.

You know what's so indiotic is the amount workers in the match who the audience no reason at all to give a shit about. Okay I'll give Matt Morgan the benefit of the doubt for a second since I haven't seen him work but who the fuck knows who he is? Nathan Jones, forgetting for two seconds what a shitty worker he is, hasn't been around for months and wasn't over before so why should the crowd care now? Then you have Hardcore Holly who's been out for over a year and has never been over outside of the Super Heavyweight's angle so why the hell should people care about him now? Damn Smackdown is getting so bad I'm afraid DEAN Rasmussen might stop doing his Workrate Reports.

They are just fucking out of their mind now. You know they have enough good to decent workers to make a good 10-man Survivor Series match and they come up with just about the shittiest match-up possible. I'd die to have A-Train in there instead of Jones or Morgan at this point. Of course the best shit on the show will probably be the Eddie segment and the advancement in the "Yakuza" stable storyline but both angles are buried in the lower card.
