Recap by CRZ: (bill "149-0" [i guess he really DIDN'T lose by countout to Jericho last Thursday on THUNDER!, hmm?] ) GOLDBERG v. NO SMOKIN' GIANT in a "no DQ" match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship - Dillenger didn't have enough time to get back to the dressing room, so we see some other guy walking Goldberg to the entryway. This (probable) 150th victory is hyped as a big milestone for Goldberg - man, it'd be sweet if he lost, wouldn't it? Lockup, nothing. Lockup, to the corner, big blow from the Giant, Goldberg roars. Giant with a dropkick!! To the corner, repeated knees from Giant. Whip, follow lariat. Side Russian legsweep by Giant. Headbutt. Head to the turnbuckle. Repeat. Goldberg blocks, and blocks again. Goldberg takes Giant's head to the turnbuckle. Twice. Spinning kick. He bodyslams the Giant (!) Wow! And here's STEVIE RAY with a chair - good thing it's no DQ! Chairshot is no-sold but when he turns around, Giant chokeslams him! 1, DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE with an elbowdrop to break it up. Stevie Ray gets a diamond cutter. Giant is ready to chokeslam Page, but Goldberg spears him. Everybody scatters. Aww, give me a break. Giant is going to be counted out (entrance 2:45, match 2:47) and we'll take an ad break as Goldberg tells Page he's next, or something.

Nice little match. Palumbo was in the tree of woe, and Brock came charging at him, but Chuck got a leg loose, which Brock ran into. Paul Heyman yells out: "is that legal?!" Awesome. Angle/Benoit vs. Los Guerreros wasn't too shabby, either. Recaps by CRZ: KING BROCK LESNAR (WWE Champion - Minneapolis, Minnesota - 295 pounds - with Paul Heyman - AND Subway presents No Mercy in just three days!) v. CHUCK PALUMBO (San Diego, California - 276 pounds) in a nontitle match referee: PROUD CANADIAN JIMMY KORDERAS We're told that Billy was injured at the London, Ontario show on Monday and is in Alabama seeing specialists. That don't sound too good for him...but it's not like they had any PLANS for him anyway, right? I mean, that gay wedding was FIVE WHOLE WEEKS AGO, I doubt *anybody* remembers it NOW. Chuck hits the ring, duck, right, right, right, right, Lesnar barrels him into the corner, shoulder, shoulder, shoulder, elbow, whip is reversed, right hand as Lesnar comes out, running kick, Lesnar blocks the next one, back leg sweep/lariat combo. Stomp. Back up, into the corner hard and Palumbo goes down. Lesnar outside, grabs an arm and a leg and pulls his ribs into the post. Adds a kick before coming back in. Kicks the ribs, forearm, stomp, stomp, stomp. Stands on the neck for 4. Forearm in the back, Chuck tries to fire back, right, Lesnar with a knee. Lesnar dares Palumbo pull himself up - then puts him down with another clothesline. Palumbo pulls himself up - and eats ANOTHER big clothesline from the champ. Palumbo tries a right, right, right, right - Lesnar with a knee. Palumbo's lip is split. Second rope choke with a knee in the back for 4. Lesnar with a right hand. Vertical suplex. Cover, 1, 2, Palumbo kicks out. 1, 2, kickout. 1, 2, kickout. Knee in the back by Lesnar. Palumbo tries to come back, forearmed down, Palumbo tries again, another forearm, stomp, stomp. Lesnar helps him up, hard into the corner, and a big belly-to-belly overhead release suplex on the way back. Lesnar waits for him to get up...goes behind - big bearhug (Tazz: "Brocklock") and Palumbo goes down. "That's what you did to Hogan! SQUEEZUM!" Shoulders down - 1, no. Palumbo on his stomach but fading fast. Arm falls once, arm falls twice...Palumbo grabs the bottom rope and Korderas forces the break. Forearm in the back by Lesnar. Palumbo tries the elbow, elbow, elbow and actually reels Lesnar enough to make it back to his feet - only to be caught coming off the ropes...and Lesnar puts him in the Tree of Woe after ramming his back into the corner. Kick, kick, kick. Lesnar gets a head of steam and rams the shoulder. Palumbo STILL hung up...but frees himself just in time, conneting with a mule kick as Lesnar comes in. Palumbo getting a second wind - sidesteps Lesnar and puts his shoulder into the post, shoulder, shoulder, shoulder, right, right, right, belly-to-belly overhead throw (!), discus punch is ducked, but he hits the JUNGLE KICK! And then he hits it AGAIN!! Cover - 1, 2, ohhhh Lesnar grabs the bottom rope! Palumbo stays on him - stomp, stomp, right, wants the throw but Lesnar reverses and HE hits the belly-to-belly throw. Palumbo puts up a boot but Lesnar catches it...and connects on the quick clothesline. Scooped up - backbreaker down - STILL holding him - simply flipping him over onto his shoulders - Key on My Keyboard - 1, 2, 3. Total SNME match and that's a good thing. (6:30) THE AWESOME UNDERTAKER is out - big boot puts the champ down - stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp, chasing off Korderas, CAST SOUPBONE! That hurts him, but probably not as much as it hurts Lesnar. Sparks is out - down he goes - down goes Korderas - down goes a security guy - one more for Lesnar. Stomp, stomp, chasing off the next wave of refs and security...Lesnar manages to roll out and Heyman helps him up the ramp. Taker raises his arm...but not all the way up 'cause it hurts, man. Ohhhh Lesnar's been busted wide open. Let's take a break! WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINALS: KURT ANGLE (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - 237 pounds) and CHRIS BENOIT (Edmonton, Alberta - 229 pounds - with SmackDown! in Memphis hype) v. EDDIE & CHAVO GUERRERO (El Paso, Tejas - 441 pounds) referee: MIKE CHIODA You know, given all the times that "CRIPPLER" shows up in his entrance video, you'd think someone would actually CALL him that now and again. Before the Guerreros his the ring, EDGE & REY MYSTERIO come out to extract a little revenge for earlier in the night. Benoit and Angle are content to watch at first, but after the Guerreros go down, they leave the ring to take it to Edge & Mysterio. All four men in the ring - Edge turns the tide, giving Angle the SPEAR, then Benoit gets a whip reversed, into a drop toehold by Edge...putting him in perfect position for the 619 from Mysterio. Edge and Mysterio leaving two men down in the ring, and two men down on the floor. This match MAY get started right after this short break! Stacker 2 ad #2 - isn't trying to sell ephedra-free Stacker 2 a bit like trying to sell caffeine-free Jolt Cola? Geez, I have a feeling that before I die, I'll see yet another ad for "The Ring" When we come back, the bell has apparently already rung - Eddie is stomping away on Angle in the corner and giving him a few words as well. Elbow, elbow, elbow, punches the back of the neck, right, stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp. Chioda actually has to POINT TO HIS PATCH to get a little recognition of the rules! Eddie back on him - Angle reverses the whip, though, and lands the back elbow - Chavo in and he gets a hiptoss and goes out. Right to Eddie, right, right, right, right, kick, kick, right, right, right. Whip into the opposite corner, bowls him over with a lariat, cover, 2. Free shot takes Chavo to the floor. Back to Eddie - snaps off the suplex - 1, 2, no. Grabs Eddie by the hair and makes the tag ot Benoit - open kick, elbow, elbow, chop, headbutt, kick, into the ropes, back elbow, cover, 2. Backbreaker. 1, 2, no. "Benoit (clapclap)" chant. Tag to Angle, kick by Angle, by Benoit, by Angle. Angle right, into the ropes is reversed, Eddie connects with a back elbow and quickly makes the tag. Chavo in just as quick and stays on Angle with a boot to the head, a stomp, a stomp, a stomp, arm wringer into a short-arm clothesline, 1, 2, Angle kicks out. European uppercut. Gutshot - forearm to the back of the head. Into the ropes is reversed...and Angle catches him with a belly-to-belly over head suplex! Angle mouths off to Eddie, then applies the side headlock to Chavo and backs into his corner for the tag - Benoit in, free kick to the abdomen, into the ropes, buries the knee. Death suplex on Chavo gets Benoit 2. Benoit brings him up...and puts him down with a short clothesline. 1, 2, no. Chavo ducks the next short clothesline and HE connects with a death suplex. Chavo grabs a headlock and tags Eddie. Stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp. Elbow, Euro uppercut, has some indecision about the next move and Benoit clamps on the crossface (!) but Chavo wastes no time breaking *that* up. Roll and tag to Chavo after he heads back to the corner - kick, kick, Benoit kick, chop, chop, kick by Chavo, Euro uppercut, chop, chop, pulls Benoit out of the corner, snapmares him over and applies the headlock once again. Crowd chants "we want Angle!" Benoit struggles back to his feet - elbow, elbow breaks it up, chop, chop, off the ropes but Eddie puts a knee in the back...and Benoit walks into a dropkick from Chavo. Cover - 2! Tag to Eddie - trademark slingshot senton in. Eddie's ashufflin'. Kick to the head. Kick to the ribs. Stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp. BIG "Angle" chant. Chavo with some punishment while Eddie pops Angle to keep Chioda occupied. Big doubleteam behind the ref's back here. When he turns back, Chavo has him in the headlock one more time. "We want Angle!" Benoit to his feet - shoves Chavo to the corner, elbow, into the oppostie corner, but Chavo gets the elbow up and connects with the face. Chavo outside and going up - but Benoit is up, crotches him and climbs up after him - TOP ROPE SUPERPLEX just like that - both men are down and Angle *really* wants that tag - and so does the house! TAG TO ANGLE!! Lariat for Eddie, lariat for Chavo, lariat for Eddie, Eddie into the ropes, biiig back body drop, ducks the swing from Chavo, German release suplex! Eddie sneaks in a shot, but Angle reverses the whip, then catches him in a belly-to-belly overhead - leg is hooked, 1, 2, Chavo breaks it up! Whip reversal is reversed back, and Chavo lands a dropkick - all four men in the ring now, Benoit puts Chavo in the corner, and gives HIM a German suplex on his way backing out - wants two but Eddie is up from behind - Benoit reverses on Eddie and gives HIM a German suplex. Benoit outside - Benoit up - Benoit DOWN with the SWANDIVE HEADBUTT!! Angle over to hook the leg - 1, 2, Chavo saves it AGAIN! Chavo with the brainbuster on Angle (!), then clothesline Benoit AND himself out of the ring...meanwhile, Eddie is over to hook the leg - 1, 2, NO!!!!! Eddie thinks it's time to go for it all - climbing to the top...but Angle pops up BUT Eddie shoves him off - FROG SPLASH! 1, 2, Benoit breaks it up! CROSSFACE!! One man yet to be heard from, and sure enough Chavo comes in and breaks up the hold with an axehandle to the back of Benoit's neck. Suplex coming up - no, Benoit goes behind - and it's *Benoit* tossing Chavo over the top to the floor!! Olympic slam, no, Eddie to his feet, shoving Angle into Benoit and Chioda, and Chioda (oh no) loses all consciousness on his way to the floor - chop block by Eddie on Angle...and now tying up Angle for the Lasso from El Paso! Eddie's eye is looking NASTY...Angle manages to roll out of the hold and apply the ANGLELOCK! Guerrero taps (!) but there's still no referee...Chavo brings a chair into the ring with him - Benoit right behind him and pulling the chair away. Chavo begs off...but Benoit offers the Hand of Friendship! Ohhhhhh Angle quickly releases the ankelock as he realises what's coming...but Benoit turns back, braining Chavo! WHACK in the back for Eddie. OLYMPIC SLAM!! Benoit rousts Chioda as Angle hooks the leg - 1, 2, 3!!! (10:45) It's Edge & Mysterio against Benoit & Angle this Sunday and either way, two fine singles competitors are gonna be stuck in tag team competition for a while - I mean, that match will RULE! Replays yep. Brackets yep. Cole has NEVER looked forward to seeing a pay-per-view matchup like he's looking forward to seeing this one...man, he shouldn't let stuff like that slip out.

I suppose so...I assume it was them although as its mentioned in the recap that on Heat the night before they E&C with Los Conquistadors. Probably just a couple of indy wrestlers but I don't remember if they had someone else ever wrestle as Los Conquistadors during the angle besides when the Hardyz posed as them to win the tag titles back. CRZ recap: THOSE DAMN DUDLEYZ (with RAW is WAR is brought to you by Burger King, Starburst, and WWF Shop Zone .COM!) v. LOS CONQUISTADORS (with Let Us Take You Back to Heat) - last night on Heat, Edge & Christian and the Conquistadors showed up at the same time - the men in gold looked noticably shorter, but there you go. Is that El Merenguero's old SuperAstros music leading out ol' Double Gold there? Synchronised tumbling run demonstration before the match. Let's call this one 1 and hope I can make it stick. Buh-Buh Ray is the Dudley, that's for sure. Lockup, side headlock, rather deliberate chain wrestling sequence, bit of a dance - Dudley clocks him. "We wnat table!" Into the ropes, hiptoss, armdrag, scoop...and a slam. Backdrop for 2. Tag to D-Von - 2 into the corner, 1 into 2, Buh-Buh Ray splashes the pile. Flying jalapeno for 1 - 2 into the ropes, jumping back elbow. Tag to Buh-Buh Ray - into the ropes, double shoulderblock. Commentators arguing whether these guys are Edge and Christian or not. Buh-Buh Ray trying to remove the mask - UN FOUL! Into the corner, 2 manages to get his legs up and there's a head scissors takeover. Shot for 1 as Buh-Buh Ray pops up - sidewalk slam for 2. Tag to D-Von, open shot. Scoop..and a slam. D-Von goes for the mask, but 1 makes the save. Stomping away with a switch behind the back of referee "Blind" Chad Patton. Tag to 2. Into the ropes, flying jalapeno, 1, 2, no. Forward roll and tag. Lawler tells us they explained to him why Mexico didn't have an Olympic team - everyone that can run, jump or swim is already in the United States HIYO!!! Stomp by 1. Right hand. Right. Into the ropes, tumbling clothesline. Stomp. D-Von with a gutshot, another, dropkick by 1. Tag to 2. Blatant choke. Head to the buckle, kick in the gut, taunting Buh-Buh Ray to draw him in and allow them a doubleteam behind Patton's back. Tag to 1. Scoop...and a slam. Legdrop. Leg is hooked - 1, 2, no. Snapmare takeover - dropkick to the back. Tag to 2. Scoop...and a slam. SENTON! Leg is hooked - 2 for 2. Tag to 1. Open kick. Right, into the opposite corner, up and over, but nobody's home - jumping reverse DDT. Lawler says that's 2, but it's too late for me to accomodate him. HOT TAG! Buh-Buh Ray is a house on fire! Everybody scattered - "wassup" for 1. D-Von, get the table. 2 with a BEAUTIFUL pescado (or "plancha" if you're Ross) onto D-Von before he can get that table. In the ring, Buh-Buh Ray hits the full nelson atomic drop on 1 and goes for the mask again. 2 up from behind with a schoolboy - Patton with a fast count 1, 2, 3 and was that guy legal? Who can say. Men in gold win. (6:34) Yeah, hear them? "Merengue!" I wonder what Jose Estrada thinks of that. KING KURT ANGLE (with Stephanie Ono, already in the ring) and EDGE & CHRISTIAN (with Presto presents No Mercy ... in six days!) v. HARDY BOYZ (with Lita) and IF YA SMELLLLLLLLL - Rock brings Angle in the hard way and we're immediately off. Stomp, stomp, Edge from behind with forearms. Referee "Blind" Earl Hebner tries to bring it to one on one and we end with Edge and Rock. Side Russian legsweep gets 2. Into the ropes, swinging neckbreaker by Rock - Angle breaks it up. Edge from behind when Rock turns to Angle. Tag to Christian, right, kick, stomp, stomp, into the ropes, reversed, duck, duck, Samoan Drop - Angle breaks up the cover AGAIN. Rock tosses Christian to the outside and makes "Just Bring It" motions to Angle. And here he comes! No, Edge with a shot from behind. Christian stomping away on Rock. Tag to Angle. Right hand. Stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp, Triple H watching from his dressing room - with a lotta ice on his shoulder from the crossface. Angle still on Rock - into the ropes, back elbow. Death suplex. Stomp. Stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp, standing on the neck. Tag to Edge, who has a derisive dance for the Hardyz - took too long, too - Rock pops up with a clothesline. Tag to Jeff! Duck, flying clothesline. Right, right, into the corner, reversed, Hardy up and over, dropkick to the back. Tag to Matt - out of the corner, Poetry in Motion! 1, 2, no. Into the ropes, reversed, duck, Hardy right, right, discus right, tied up in the ropes, and punching away. Christian frees him after Hebner pulls Hardy off. Edge ducks Hardy's clothesline but he follows through to forearm Christian on the apron! Double leg takedown on Edge - and a catapult into Christian! 1, 2, no. Gutshot, going for the Twist of Fate - but Edge shoves him into the corner, then his a German suplex. Tag to Angle, stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp, vertical suplex, 2. Clothesline. Hooks the leg - 2. Head to the buckle, right, right, right, right, tag to Christian, open kick, right, snapmare takeover, kick in the back, stomp, stomp, headlock. Hardy to his feet - elbowing out, Christian ducks, I think Hardy was supposed to catch this knee and take him over, but he didn't - and just goes down to the knee instead. Christian distracting Jeff, then bringing Matt back for a tripleteam in the corner. Hardy trying to punch out, but Christian pops him from behind. Edge with a NICE standing dropkick - 1, 2, nope. Stomp. Tag to Angle. Right hand. Elbowdrop. 1, 2, shoulder up. Head to the corner, right, right, kick, kick, kick, kick, Hebner pulls him off for a lecture while Christian and Edge have their way with Hardy. Angle kick, kick, kick, tag to Edge. Clubbing forearm to the spine. Right hand, right, into the opposite corner, but Hardy gets the boot up - Edge manages a clothesline as Hardy tries to run out. Crowd chanting "Rock E." Hardy manages to counter a slam attempt with a reverse DDT and both men are down. Who will tag? Christian in...and quickly over to give Jeff Hardy a shot, preventing any tag from being made. Matt swings and misses - Christian with the reverse DDT! Now Lita (huh?) is on top - huracanrana for Christian! Angle pulls her out and keeps her distracted long enough for a forearm from Stephanie - and run into the ringpost. Looking back to the ring, it's the same situation - both men needing to tag. Presto provides a Double Feature. Tag to Angle - HOT TAG TO ROCK! Right! Right! Right! Into the ropes, belly-to-belly throw! Shot for Edge, Angle with a clothesline. Stomp. On the outside, Jeff Hardy dives from the top turnbuckle onto Edge on the floor! Angle continuing to stomp on Rock in the ring. Right hand. Into the ropes, reversal, spinebuster. Hey, it might be time for the most something something - no, Christian is in - Rock punches him out of the ring - Rock Bottom on Angle! But Hebner is occupied with Christian on the outside. Stephanie pulls Rock's leg away - Rock pulls Stephanie in by the hair - or tries, but Edge & Christian are back in - double clothesline to the outside. IN the ring, Jeff Hardy sets up for the swantonbomb...but Stephanie is up again and whacking HIM with something. Hardy hits the canvas. Is Ross NOT gonna say "martial law" this week? Angle with the Olympic Slam. Hardy isn't legal, but don't let that stop you, Hebner - 1, 2, 3! Angle takes the fall. What was that, a tire iron? (10:27) Replays show it *was* a tire iron. Angle and Stephanie backing up the ramp, all smiles and victory. Meanwhile, in the ring, Christian is trying to take Rock off the ropes - no, that just doesn't work...Rock Bottom! Edge from the top turnbuckle...THAT'S a Rock Bottom. Play his music! Rock makes the "Just Bring It" motion to Angle once aing, but he and Stephanie are busy posing at the top of the ramp and they ain't comin' back. Replay of the tire iron shot, Olympic Slam and pin. War Zone credits are up - last WWF logo - and buh-bye.

CRZ recap: ROCK & SOCK CONNECTION v. HOLLYS (with Scale Holly) for the tag team championship - okay, YOU tell ME why the champs enter first. Mankind hits Howard Stern AND Conan O'Brien Thursday, and the Virgin Megastore in Times Square Friday. Mankind enters sans mask and sans chipper attitude AND sans title belt! In fact, he just sits on the steps leading to the ring - and rocks...and rocks...and rocks. Hollys are announced with a weight of "allegedly over eight hundred pounds." Rock is shouting something to Mick, which unfortunately places his back to the Hollys. The doubleteam kicks things off. Crash stays in after referee "Blind" Earl Hebner gets Hardcore back outside. Crash stomping away while Hebner calls to Mankind. Clubbing forearm, repeat. Crash to the bandaged area. Mankind's head is down - and he hasn't moved from his seat. Rock punching back...Crash whips Rock into Hardcore's boot. Tag to Hardcore as we look backstage to see the Outlaws looking on - Gunn getting his cut treated. Hardcore stomping away on the ribgs. Whip into the opposite corner. Whip back - Rock reverses, back elbow, right hands, into the opposite corner again, Holly throws up an elbow, but runs into a powerslam for 2. Sidewalk slam from Holly - 1, 2, no. Tag to Crash - top rope fist to the ribs. Crash pulls on the arm. Crowd chants "Rock and Sock..." and Foley turns his head to see what's going on in the ring. Rock manages a sorta swinging neckbreaker for 2. Crash comes back with a kick to the gut. Over to Hardcore for the tag. Holly continues to work the ribs. Whip into the corner, where Mankind is not, Rock manages to duck the clothesline from Hardcore and hit one of his own on Crash - but Hardcore hits the best dropkick in the business for 2. Hardcore setting him up for the vertical suplex. And now Hardcore, having no brains at all apparently, walks over to Mankind and asks him what's up - then tells him he's worthless. Getting back in the ring, Rock is back and on him. Reversal of a whip, kick from the Rock, punch from Holly and both men are down. Hardcore with the front face, tag to Crash - another high impact fistdrop. Back to the armbreaker. Mankind looks on as Crash bars the arm. Crash stomping away on the ribs. Sleeper! Crowd tries "Rock and Sock" again as Mankind looks around, feeding the chant. Arm falls once - Mankind looks in the ring - Arm falls twice - crowd chants "Foley" - arm fails to fall thrice. Off the ropes, Samoan drop from the Rock! Foley stands up - and the crowd goes nuts! Rock covers - 1, 2, no. Mankind sits down againas Rock somehow manages to take it to both Hollys. Punching away on Crash, punches for Hardcore, back elbow for Hardcore, DDT for Crash - 1, 2, Hardcore tries to save but Rock is aside and Hardcore hits his cousin instead. There's ANOTHER DDT - 1, 2, Hardcore breaks it up. Crash holding him - Rock's trick knee acts up and Hardcore ends up coming off the ropes only to be caught in the Rock Bottom! TREBLE H is out? Crash has Hebner's eye, Rock has H's Pedigree. Mankind sees all of this but his expression doesn't change. Hardcore covers - 1, 2, 3. Ladies and gentlemen, we have new tag team champions. (7:29) Mankind forlornly walks away. Now, to send the crowd home happy, the sound of breaking glass brings STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN out to whup up on Helmsley. Throwing him into the ring, he's distracted a bit by the Hollys. Hebner keeps them separated while Rock hits Rock Bottom on Helmsley. Just before the People's Elbow can be hit, however, Austin is in the ring with the double bird, stopping Rock in his tracks. There's the Stunner! I think Rock's a bit perturbed that Austin stole his thundah. Their eyes locked, we check the credits and fade out. See you Thursday for SmackDown! Coming up next - BAYWATCH!

I think the question about the Big 12 is does anyone want to win the North? Believe it or not Kansas was a missed extra point away today from being in first place. Oklahoma just looks so much better than any other team in the conference. Tommorrow going by the AP Poll (top of the page) Georgia will be #4 and USC will be #5 but after that it gets interesting. Its conceivable Ohio State and Florida State will only drop a couple of spots because the next highest ranked team who didn't lose today is Washington State at #12 and they didn't even play. Moving up six spots on a bye week I think is unheard of although I think definently they move into the Top 10. Iowa also another team on a bye week that has a chance to move to the Top 10 because of the losses. I think the odds are very good though when you look at it that Northern Illinois will crack the Top 10. How bad does Minnesota feel now? If they had held on they'd be a lock to move into the Top 10. Anyways here is my prediction on how 4 thru 10 comes out tommorrow: #4 Georgia, #5 USC, #6 Ohio State, #7 Florida State, #8 Washington State, #9 Iowa, #10 Northern Illinois

Meh, TCU I think is pretty much a fraud. Oklahoma looks unbeatable right now and whoever wins Miami/VaTech will be their opponent in the Sugar Bowl as things look right now. Hey but I'm all for the only unbeatens being non-BCS schools as it would be hilarious on so many levels but doubt it will happen.

Man Pedro beating up an old man...talk about your cheap heel tactics. Maybe Vince can pay the Red Sox to have Manny Ramirez hit Mae Young over the head with a bat.

Willingham is a great coach. Notre Dame had no business winning as many games as they did last year, that was all Willingham. This year so far they've played a little more down to the level of talent they actually have but come on this is the guy who took Stanford to the Rose Bowl. OHHHio State jobs! Wow from thirteen unbeatens to five in one week. The official BCS rankings come out after next week.

Maybe RVD can cut a promo about how Shane is his mentor. "Dude, you taught me everything."
-
You know I was semi-sarcastic when I said a few weeks ago that the idea of a HHH/Shane main event at WMXX had crossed Vince's mind but I'm starting to think he might be insane enough to do it. Oh and Shane got another house show win yesterday: Shane is holding down his man!!! Hmmm also now using the Van Daminator in matches with RVD. That'll piss off some people.

Well so much for Florida St. being a national title contender again at least based on the first half. Oh on an unrelated note the ACC expansion saga appears to be over as report is Boston College will accept an invitation to the ACC tommorrow. This of course gives them 12 teams and will allow them to have a conference championship game. The Big East is expected to add Louisville eventually but when it comes to football that conference is going to be a complete non-factor when the expansion goes into effect. Edit: Just adding on to the post instead of post whoring. I guess Ron Zook might keep his job. The final scores is only 19-7 but Florida dominated that game. Oh and even though I know they won't I really hope both polls have Texas out of the Top 25. They aren't that good. Obviously beating Kansas St. isn't that big of a deal either. They beat the shit out of bad teams, barely beat a mediocre KSU team, and are humiliated against the only two good teams they've played this year.

I had avoided this topic because I already knew the picture in question without looking but figured it'd be worth a laugh after the sting of the series wore off and then I see this ignorant comment. Yup drawing over 2.2 million fans no longer means you have people show up to your games. You heard it here first.

Navarre might not have been let back into Ann Arbor if they had lost. They said it was the biggest comeback in Michigan history and that covers over 1100 games. Figure it has happened before but losing when you rush for over 400 yards has to be near a record. Had a bad feeling for Minnesota when they went to three-man rush late in the 3rd after they went up by 21. TCU eeked out another win in the other game tonight over South Florida 13-10 to stay undefeated.
-
Minnesota blows a 28-7 lead and a 35-21 lead in the 4th quarter to lose 38-35. Michigan scores 31 points in the 4th. Ouch.
-
Big game tonight, Michigan/Minnesota. If Minnesota wins they become a legit threat for the Big 10 title, if they lose then probably just shows they are only undefeated because of a soft schedule. If Michigan wins they still have as shot at the Big 10 title, if they lose they go from national title contender to looking forward to playing in the Sun Bowl in the span of a few weeks.

Nope it will be in Tallahasse. Battle of two Top 5 teams trumps the usual Red River Massacre.
