No starting a rookie almost never works out that first season. The only rookie qb in recent memory to put up decent numbers their first year was Rick Mirer of all people.

Funny, I thought we were trying to keep him away from the Sox. Fucking with Oakland wasn't exactly high on the list of probable reasons for his signing. Ummm the Red Sox weren't in the Giambi sweepstakes to my knowledge. The only other team that showed interest was the Cardinals. I'd say Giambi hitting a game winning homerun late in the 2001 season to sweep the Yankees is what peeked George's interest. Also considering how close the A's did come to beating the Yankees for two years in a row (and probably would have if his fat fuck brother knew how to slide...FUCK YOU JEREMY!) I'd say yes it was to fuck with Oakland...and the Red Sox indirectly I'm sure.

My ideal playoff scenerio just went out the door with Mark Mulder likely out for the season. I just hope Yankees and Giants die a quick death in the divisonal series but I doubt it.
-
Mark Mulder is likely out for the rest of the season as his hip injury has turned out to be a stress fracture. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1601345 FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It just isn't fair.

Chris Cohan is an evil owner. I mean there are assholes out there in all sports but Cohan doesn't give a shit about the fans or winning. Just all about turning a profit and he saved himself $30 million over the next two years.

Oh come on don't like seeing Mike Rozier's failed pro career or Lee Corso coaching?

Yes they show no NFL games at all (except the NFL Films versions of them) as the NFL I think has held on to them for when the NFL Channel, or whatever it will be called, debuts. Other than that ESPN Classic is just about the best channel ever. Nine times out of ten I already know the winner or can take a good guess as to who wins (with the exception of USFL games) but I still find it fun to watch.

Well the thing that stands out about is that it is the only Skinemax movie to my knowledge that is lesbian scenes only. So its definently worth watching but in between the sex scenes is some of the most god awful shit you will ever see. Of course between sex scenes of Skinemax movies is when your supposed to be flipping over to Showtime to see if they are showing Beverly Hills Bordello.

No, RAW get's September, don't they? Yes Raw is next month as Smackdown was last month.

So? All things considered the A's should have been swept but they come away with two out of three and the Wild Card lead. That being said the A's have some real issues with their starting pitching all of a sudden. The league has figured out Rich Harden already as he's now had back-to-back horrendous starts and Mark Mulder went on the DL today (can come off on September 4th). Tim Hudson has the bruised wrist, which long term won't be an issue but could effect him his next couple of starts. Also throw in Zito having an off year with some serious control problems. Luckily for them after this weekend against Toronto their next 12 are against the Orioles and Devil Rays and by the end of that stretch Mulder should be back and Hudson's wrist should be fine.

I've always saw it as not so subliminal advertising for Mountain Dew. Its worked because its actually convinced people in the 12-18 year old demographic that Mountain Dew doesn't taste like ass.

After being down by 10 the U.S. won tonight 110-76 against Brazil in the opening game of the qualifying tournament. I wonder why it wasn't televised?

Doubt they are rejocing now.

Off on another tagent because I'm Bored but why are people now throwing Sammy Sosa out as an MVP candidate? He didn't do ANYTHING the first two months of the season and let's not forget the corked bat thing (no one I'm not saying he's corking now) which cost him seven games. It just feels like the media almost feels sorry for Sammy over how he was supposedly mistreated over the corked bat thing so now they have to hype him as an MVP candidate now.

Well this wasn't clean...recap by CRZ: THE JOBBIN' JUGGALO (with Insane Clown Posse) v. JOBBED TO TANK ABBOTT in a Best Jobber match for the JCW title - The ICP overrun the commentary table and spend the entire match putting over WCW - ha ha, just kidding. Maybe I've become too old but I didn't find this particularly entertaining. Abbott's HAND OF STONE takes out referee "Blind" Charles Robinson when Vampiro ducks - that's a whopping eighty seconds in. The deadly right DOES strike Vampiro...so the ICP get up and hit the ring. Right for Violent J - Shaggy 2 Dope on his back and trying to punch away, but having no effect. Abbott backs him into the ring, right to the body, right to the head. GREAT MUTA is out, making the Muta face, forearm to the back to get Abbott's attention, and there's the green mist. Stomp, stomp, stomp, ICP join in...because only Robinson and Vampiro can sell that punch, I suppose. See-Ell-You-Ess-Tee-Eee-Arr-Eff-You-See-Kay. Hit their music! (call it 2:10) Vampiro, to his credit, continues to sell the punch outside the ring, then falls to the floor. 3 COUNT hits the ring and Muta and ICP scatter. Towel for Abbott...he cures his blindness, sees 3 Count, and walks off...STILL angry at them. Play HIS music!

Bears: Kordell Stewart. Starting rookies at quarterback is always a bad idea. Ravens: Chris Redman. Same as above even though Redman ain't exactly a veteran himself but I think Boeller is gonna be a bust anyways. Bengals: Jon Kitna. Rookie thing again. Browns: Kelly Holcomb. Holcomb earned the right to at least be the starter at the beginning of the year and it his job to lose. Besides I have Holcomb on my fantasy team so fuck Couch! Cowboys: Quincy Carter or Chad Hutchinson. I'd shoot myself. Wait what was the question? Dolphins: Jay Fiedler or Brian Griese. Errrr toss up...I guess Fiedler deserves to lose the job himself, which I think will happen. Jaguars: Mark Brunell. Rookie thing again and Brunell is still decent but he's bound to get hurt. Panthers: Rodney Peete. Jake who? I don't think it really matters either way. Redskins: Patrick Ramsey. Yikes...go with the young guy over the proven loser. Rams: Kurt Warner. Has the right to lose his own job or get hurt. Oh and I drafted Warner too so he better do good!

This could be horrible or great comedy. Taker always 100% kayfabe's it so he'll probably just talk about chewing tobacco and being a badass.
-
Because he's HHH...I mean that's as simple as it gets. He will never, ever again be beaten when the odds are even and he is considered to be completely healthy. He can only lose now if the odds are against him and even then he still wins 9 times out of 10. I don't think one can even assume he will be dropping the title this weekend. I thought it was a lock when the first changed it to an elimination chamber but now I'm leaning towards him retaining once again.

I forget exactly what was injured but remember a former Bear's wide receiver Wendall Davis about ten years completely collapsing when going after a ball on the Veteran's Stadium turf. Injured both legs due to the turf and never played again IIRC. Google search later...he blew out both knees....this was back in '93.
-
Yup Alisa Reyes...google search later...apparantly now a soap opera actress and like all young actresses trying to become a singer...bleh. Here's her site.

Errr no...Bynes was waaaaaaaaaay too young then...some other chick. Oh ya not the fat chick.
-
She also carry the show "All That" back around 1996 or 1997. I never really watched "All That" much but I do remember there being a hot chick on there, a brunette who looked about 16 at the time. Anyone remember who she was or is now?
-
Lesbian...twin...pornos....oh yeah. Anyways I'd go with Bynes because blondes suck and at least Amanda is close to being legal.

Well...Vick doesn't play ABC until Week 8...so he might actually be making his return for that game...which means BIGGER ratings for ABC. Its a CONSPIRACY~!
