    Angle's face run

Well if they go ahead with the stable of Benoit/Rhyno/Haas/Benjamin with Cena as a moutpiece he'll be around a lot more but at this point I don't know how they will set that up with the shades of grey they have with the Benoit/Rhyno situation. At this point I think they may end up turning Cena face. Edit: Now that I think of it they probably won't ever go with the above stable because of how much better it would look than Evolution.

    Angle's face run

Bleh, I think you kill Lesnar's heat if you turn him heel right now considering he just turned face 8 months ago.

    Angle's face run

They blew their chance in making Cena a credible heel, or I should say Undertaker sabotaged for them when he made Cena look like a jobber during the #1 contender tournament. Personally if you really wanna complain just look at how bad and confusing the current Benoit/Rhyno situation is when those are the only two guys right now that they could elevate as the main heels on Smackdown.

    Angle's face run

Well we all know Angle is getting no face heat...nope, none at all.

    US Title's Lineage

Your all forgetting the most important part of the lineage...the Canadian Heavyweight Title! You know when Lance Storm renamed the U.S. Title belt in the Summer of 2000? Oh wait...everyone stopped watching WCW by then...nevermind.
  6. Well when Billy Gunn wins the title I don't want to hear you bitching then.
  7. Well considering its rumored that Hardy and Cena will be fighting over the belt at some point I'd say its a pretty safe call they'll be in the tournament. Rockabilly and A-Train will of course be in it I'm sure which leaves two spots. Probably toss in Rikishi and, oh I don't know, maybe throw in an FBI member like Palumbo.
  8. No the Big East is looking at Marquette and Xavier for basketball and Louisville for both basketball and football. It would end the Xavier/Cincinnati rivalry (at least in conference) if it went through.
  9. A BIG REMATCH SmackDown! preview 6/19/03 As the late Gorilla Monsoon used to say, "the ring will have to be reinforced for this one," as Big Show and Brock Lesnar square of in a rematch of last week's WWE Championship match. Hopefully, the ring will be able to withstand the punishment these two mammoths will undoubtedly put it through. Cruiserweight Champion Rey Mysterio will be jumping weight classes this Thursday to take on the much larger Kanyon. Finally, Undertaker will go one-on-one with Nunzio of F.B.I. The chances of this bout staying one-on-one, however, will undoubtedly be slim, as everybody knows the F.B.I. travel in threes. Non-spoiler card for tonight: The Undertaker vs. Nunzio Rhyno vs. Chris Benoit Rey Mysterio vs. Kanyon Kurt Angle vs. Charlie Haas Billy Gunn vs. Jamie Noble Eddie Guerrero vs. Sean O'Haire Brock Lesnar vs. The Big Show
  10. I've said it before and I'll say it again...Johnson go HERE: http://s3.cgi.gamefaqs.com/boards/gentopic...c.asp?board=546 They'll like you there and they make pointless "spoiler" topics all the time too.

    NFL Pick 'em contests announcement...

Hmmm well my 49ers are taken but since I guess it doesn't really matter what team you are, so what the hell I'll take the Texans.

    Don't Look Now....

No-hitter is gone...good job of jinxing...and the Yankees may end up losing the game still. You know my sig had a no-hitter...and still owns Clemens.
  13. Here are detailed spoilers but doesn't sound like they announced any other matches in the tournament. DARK MATCHES (1) Gail Kim def. Dawn Marie. Bland women's match, the soon-to-be Raw ladies contender wins with a victory roll. (2) Ultimo Dragon def. Michael Shane. THIS IS A DARK MATCH?!?!?! Awesome way to light up the crowd. Dragon looked as good as ever, sticking in his usual repertoire of stiff kicks. His opener looked awesome as well, lots of fire to simulate dragonfire. Dragon took the win with by taking a front face lock variation, jumping all the way over the top, and dropping down with a reverse DDT like move. VELOCITY MATCHES (1) A-Train def. Orlando Jordan. A-Train came out MAD for some reason. I'm assuming it will be explained more on the show. Jordan got in some moves, but A-Train eventually took the win with the Derailer. (2) John Cena def. Funaki. Funaki and Cena get a rematch from last week's Smackdown, and although Funaki got some more time and moves in, Cena proved too much for him. Cena connected with the F-U for the pinfall win. (3) Matt Hardy def. Paul Logan. No Crash or Shannon Moore with Hardy. Average match, when Logan missed a shooting star press, Matt dropped two Twists Of Fate on him to take the pinfall. (4) Basham Brothers (w/ Shaneiqua) def. Shannon Moore & Crash. I'm not sure if this is new or not, but Moore and Crash came out to an opener that was a parody of Matt Hardy's opener. The computer graphic starts to load up, but had a "system failure" at 30% loaded. I thought it was hilarious. The Bashams got the pin on Shannon Moore when they connected with a combination running forearm into a Russian leg sweep. SMACKDOWN MATCHES The show opens with a replay of the superplex that imploded the ring last week between Big Show and Brock Lesnar. It is announced that Show and Lesnar will have a rematch for the title tonight. (1) Undertaker def. Nunzio (w/ FBI). Taker quickly opened up a couple of cans on Nunzio, including an awesome chokeslam over the top rope onto the other members of FBI at ringside. Nunzio was quickly dropped by the Last Ride for the pinfall for Undertaker. After the match, Stamboli and Palumbo start to beat up on Undertaker, and as the FBI starts to gain an advantage, the surprise is dropped -- THE APA RETURNS! Bradshaw and Simmons run out and manage to chase out FBI with Taker's help. Zack Gowen is shown getting condolences from some of the other wrestlers in the back. He makes his way to Stephanie's office, but finds only Sable there instead. Sable invites Zack into the office alone, making sure that no one has followed him. We also see a "Brock Lesnar Timeline" clip, highlighting the feud between Show and Lesnar. These timelines were spaced in various parts of the show. (2) Chris Benoit def. Rhyno. Benoit and Rhyno came out together for what looked like a tag team match, when Stephanie McMahon came out, carrying the newly redesigned United States Title Belt. She announces that this match will not be a tag match, but instead Benoit and Rhyno will go one-on-one in a first round match for the U.S. Title, which will be decided at the next pay-per-view. The match started off with some decent scientific moves, but got SLOW from there on through. Lots of rest holds were used, and the crowd started getting restless, chanting "GO SPURS GO" instead of anything related to the match. Benoit finally turned the match into his favor and got the win with the Crippler Crossface. After the match, Benoit extended his hand to Rhyno, but they did not shake hands. Back in Stephanie's office, Sable is coming on to Zack Gowen. She mentions that last week, Zack got to see Sable's puppies, but this week, she would like him to feel them. Sable directs Zack's hands to the lower parts of her body, off camera of course. (3) Rey Mysterio def. Kanyon. As the match was about to open, it was announced that Ultimo Dragon would make his Smackdown debut on next week's episode, which would be taped at Madison Square Garden. The match was a typical match of Kanyon's size against Rey's speed. Rey's speed finally won out, as he connected with the 619 followed by the West Coast Pop for the win. (4) Kurt Angle def. Charlie Haas. Haas and Benjamin came out to ringside in new outfits and new music, but the crowd still chanted "You Suck" for them. Haas and Benjamin challenge Kurt Angle to a match next week, but Angle comes out and says that next week is for wimps. He's ready to get it on tonight. Charlie Haas decides to take Angle's challenge and hooks it up. Shelton Benjamin got in a cheap shot against the post while Angle was outside, but the ref heard it and ejected Benjamin from ringside for the rest of the match. After some nice back-and-forth action, Angle took the pinfall win with the Angle Slam. Benjamin came running back out to double-team Angle, and as they beat up on Kurt, Brock Lesnar came out to make the save for Kurt. In Stephanie's office, Sable is continuing to make out with Zack Gowen. She makes Zack beg for her, then tells him that there is no way he would ever get to be with Sable. As Sable starts to put him down, Vince McMahon comes in the office and kicks Zack out of the office. He then laughs with Sable, revealing that the whole thing was a setup to be able to make fun of Zack. (5) Billy Gunn (w/ Torrie Wilson) def. Jamie Noble (w/ Nidia). Squash match for Gunn. Nidia and Torrie managed to get in a little catfight, but it was broken up by Gunn. Gunn took the pinfall win with his Fameasser. (6) Sean O'Haire (w/ Roddy Piper) def. Eddie Guerrero (w/ Tajiri). Piper comes out with a bottle of tequila for Eddie to drink, making fun of Eddie during the match. Tajiri tried to keep Piper from interfering, but Piper instead took a swig of the tequila and spit it in Tajiri's face, paying him back from last week. The actions at ringside distracted Eddie long enough for O'Haire to get the win with his fireman's carry slam variation. Back in the office, Sable and Vince continue to gloat over how they got one over on Zack. Sable gives a small kiss to Vince, and then mounts him on top of a desk. Just as they are starting to have some fun, Stephanie McMahon comes in and kicks out Sable. Stephanie RIPS INTO Vince with a MAJOR fit. She was getting so emotional, I had trouble understanding what all she was saying. I caught that she definitely wanted Zack Gowen to get a contract with WWE, and that she didn't care if Vince fired her or not. Vince was left speechless for once. It is announced that on next week's Smackdown, Undertaker and the APA will take on all three members of the FBI in a six-man match. (7) Brock Lesnar def. Big Show by disqualification to retain the WWE Championship. Lesnar climbed up on the top rope to start the match, and dared Big Show to follow him. Instead, the start of the match had a lot of fighting on the outside. Lesnar started to gain control, and as he lifted up Show for the F-5, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin ran in for the DQ. Show, Haas, and Benjamin all triple-teamed Lesnar until Kurt Angle came in to try and even the odds. Show finally dropped Angle with a chokeslam, and as the beating continued, Mr. America ran in to even the odds some more. Mr. America got some shots in on Show, but as he tried to slam Show, Haas and Benjamin broke it up. Mr. America wound up eating a chokeslam, and Show, Haas, and Benjamin left Angle, Lesnar, and Mr. America lying out cold to end the show. POST MATCH ACTIVITIES After the camera stopped rolling, Mr. America popped up and no-sold the chokeslam. He "Americad Out" and clotheslined Big Show out of the ring. Brock Lesnar drilled Shelton Benjamin with the F-5, and then let Kurt Angle clamp on the Angle Lock. Charlie Haas also ate an F-5 courtesy of Lesnar. Angle left the ring first, followed by Lesnar. Mr. America stayed behind for the last posedown for the crowd, lifting up his mask at times to show that he was indeed Hulk Hogan, and giving the "hush-hush" sign to the crowd. All in all, a decent Smackdown, but I really expected more considering this was the 200th episode of the show. No one even mentioned the San Antonio Spurs, which could have easily gotten either some cheap heel heat or a face pop if used right. I'm hoping the Benoit-Rhyno match sounds better when seen with color commentary, because in person, the match was one of the biggest snore-fests I've seen in some time.

    Smackdown Match listing

Kanyon has been a Velocity jobber the last couple of months but I haven't been able to catch any of his matches. Speaking of Velocity here's the match listing: Funaki vs. John Cena Matt Hardy vs. Paul London in a Smarks Cream their Pants Match The Basham Brothers vs. Shannon Moore & Crash

    Smackdown Match listing

Edit: Okay here's an updated list and these should be correct. Undertaker vs. Nunzio Rhyno vs. Chris Benoit Rey Mysterio vs. Kanyon Kurt Angle vs. Charlie Haas Billy Gunn vs. Jamie Noble Eddie Guerrero vs. Sean O'Haire Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show
  16. And after Undertaker has beaten every F.B.I. member cleanly the last three weeks which would make you think the feud is over. Maybe Taker still wants to punish Palumbo for not saying hi to Droz.
  17. Ummm he's a non-contract worker...what were they gonna do have him go over? Hey and better Hardy than A-Train or DeMott.
  18. Bradshaw is blonde now? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  19. Hopefully when detailed spoilers come out they'll have the whole U.S. title tournament brackets listed.
  20. Well that can't be the full show you'd think (probably some segments missing) and I doubt Rey's match was a title match since Kanyon isn't a cruiserweight but probably legit. Oh and Big Show doesn't job AGAIN.

    MSG Raw not sold out

Despite the claims made last night on RAW, next Monday's RAW which will take place in Madison Square Garden is not sold out yet. WWE looks to be pulling out all the stops for the show, advertising a Mick Foley appearance as well as a World Heavyweight Title match between Triple H and Kane. Credit: 1wrestling.com I typically don't buy into most of what 1wrestling reports but I did wonder why they hell they would show the number for tickets to the show last night even though it was supposedly sold out?

    All-Star Voting

My N.L. picks for this week...vote leaders in CAPS and an * next to any player who I didn't list last week. I should note even with his great numbers now Javy Lopez STILL doesn't have enough plate appearances for a qualifying batting average and I've only been considering qualifiers when making my picks and I'm not gonna change it now. The one player per team rule continues to cause a ton of snubs and there will be a lot of pissed off players the day selections are made. All-Star Voting

N.L. voting update...incredibly close race at 1st and close ones at 2nd, short, and the final outfield spot. Interesting to note Sammy Sosa last week had about 150,000 vote lead over the 4th place spot in the outfield and its to down to about 118,000 this week. Probably too big of a lead for him not to be elected but about three more weeks left to vote should be interesting to watch. First Base Player Team Total Votes Bagwell, J. Astros 311,234 Helton, T. Raw Rating Rises

I would like propose that all topics on ratings should be closed immediately after they are started. Until the ratings go back over 5.0 on a regular basis or sink to Nitro levels of 2.5 and below or untill WWE has some direct competition, I don't give a shit about the ratings and neither should any of you.
