Hoff, could you put this near the end of the show, and put a few little announcements by the announcers through the first part of the show about Axel and Calvin meeting? Just have Cole say stuff like "and don't forget also tonight OAOAST Champion Axel and General Manager Calvin Szechstein are currently in a big meeting, and we will be covering events as they happen". Thanks d00d. We cut to a shot of the General Manager's Office Door, which opens, revealing the General Manager Calvin Szechstein, as well as the OAOAST Champion, Axel! And I have no fucking idea how Glenn McGrath is out there. He's got a 25-30 step run up, plants that foot (putting pressure on the ankle) for each delivery, not to mention the fielding and running between wickets that he may have to do. Amazing.

What je's trying to say is that Cricket balls deviate more because of the fact that they bounce before reaching the batsman. I'm guessing a curveball would do what a fast bowlers out swinger or in swinger does. A slider would be, well, Warnie's new delivery that keeps low and straight. Ed Wood, like with a baseball game's offense and defense, Cricket is played much the same way. Their is a batting team and a fielding team on the ground, and when a side is bowled out (all batsmen are out) then they switch. The only advantage that baseball has over Cricket is that the game is faster, and even that would be debatable in One Day Matches.

Got it in one, Hoff. MacGill has a really, really good bowling average, and IIRC, he played well the last time he was in an Ashes series. They NEED to play him and drop Kasprowicz, and apparently they are considering dropping Gillespie as well in favour of Shane Watson, which I think would be an awful move, because you can't just have one fast bowler, even if he is the fastest in the world.

I said 3-1 at the start, with one draw. But with the way that this series is played, we aren't going to get to the fifth day, let alone a draw.

Stranger things have happened, but Warnie is incapable of not going the slog when batting. I'm just surprised that we slumped so badly, I'm reminded of a series in India about 4 years back when Steve Waugh was still captain where we won the first Test comfortably, and were in a winning position in the second before our fourth Innings batting display let us down. We ended up losing the series. I'd hate to see the Poms win the Ashes, but I suppose it would be good for the sport.
