Another reference to the Reformation of DX
QuestionMan replied to res37618's topic in The WWE Folder
Here is the PPV poster for Vengeance -
Meltzer has pretty much stated since WM that RVD would be facing the winner of the Backlash 3-way at the ECW PPV.
-
Rhino said he was still in posession of the ECW World Title, but said that someone stole the ECW TV Title belt at the very last show.

Makes sense, because shortly after this, he showed up in WCW with The British Bulldog in January 1998. -

Her clitoris looks like a very small penis. When I first saw it, I thought it was a penis. -
From PWI: Since so many people have asked, here's a list of the current group of talent scheduled to be a part of the ECW project that WWE will debut next month. There will be changes and additions, for sure, but this is a pretty good list of who is signed now. Yeah, I was more interested in the ECW stuff than any of this.
-
Glad to see them finally getting serious about the CW division.

Someone suggested a scenario for RVD vs. Cena at One Night Stand that may very well take place. Since it's a WWE Title match, obviously a WWE referee will be appointed for the match. This will most likely be Raw's head referee, Mike Chioda. At some point in the match, Chioda gets knocked out and an ECW referee, either Jim Molineaux or John Finnegan, comes out and counts the 3 for RVD to win the WWE Title. Either after the match at the PPV or the next night on Raw, Vince McMahon comes out and declares the title change invalid since an ECW referee counted the pinfall, and gives the belt back to Cena. RVD says, "Fuck this," quits, and goes to ECW 4 life.

From Dave Meltzer's Sunday Update on WO.Com: Jim Ross will be lead announcer for tonight's Backlash PPV, in the place of Joey Styles. The internal decision has been finalized for Ross to take over as lead announcer on Raw, either tomorrow, or within a few weeks.
-
Heh. RVD was only the TV champion for about a month at that point.
-
Who said he was just vanishing?
-
That reminds me of the 2005 Royal Rumble, when he continuously kept getting Rene Dupree and Charlie Haas confused to the point where he belted out "AU REVOIR!" when Haas got eliminated. That was rather embarassing.

What the fuck is this.

The following is from Dave Meltzer's Saturday update: Regarding Kurt Angle. Angle will be out of action for a few weeks. This was planned after the European tour due to his chronic neck problems. WWE.com under Michael Cole is undergoing a new direction to be more storyline oriented. They reported Angle suffered broken ribs from Mark Henry, which, is, of course, the TV angle. However, they didn't claim it was from the TV angle, which is really strange. Angle does have a rib injury in addition to his other injuries, but the time off to heal has nothing to do with that specific injury. See? Kurt Angle was not injured by Mark Henry. Thread = clizosed.

This thread needs to be closed since it is feeding the kayfabe monster. And kayfabe monsters are never good on websites with "Smart Marks" in its name.
-
I'm not sure if this is legit or if Angle has been banged up for a while and they are using that as an excuse to grab him off TV.
-
I have absolutely no idea what turns you took to come to this inference. I didn't get that idea at all from what Ivory said. Like the other guy said, maybe its just what you want to believe.

The lastest public, non-WON info from Meltzer: More on the ECW TV situation. As noted last night, ECW will take over the spot formerly held by Velocity. It will be taped prior to Smackdown every Tuesday. We don't have the date this goes into effect, but most likely some point in June. It will be a one hour show that will air on the ECW web site and maybe the WWE web site (although as noted, there are ongoing negotiations for a U.S. TV time slot and it is expected to wind up on USA). In international markets where Velocity airs, the ECW show will replace Velocity, which will cease to exist, as a broadcast property. Tons of work is being done every day on ECW. Despite suggestions that ECW needs its own taping, Vince McMahon will not budge off adding a new day of taping because of the drain in man hours for a company that already tapes twice per week, he's been very open to suggestions of adding wrestlers that he knows nothing about. The brand will be launched on 6/7 in Dayton with a WWE vs. ECW show that will feature wrestlers from all three brands, as the decision was made yesterday to add Smackdown wrestlers to the angle for the special and likely the PPV. This coming week's Observer has tons of news regarding the roster, bookings and other plans, and we've got another major story coming out next week on it as well. ======= Sorry, but "ECW" being taped in a large-sized arena in front of a bunch of WWE marks is going to bomb badly.

I was at the Raw in July 2001 in Atlanta when they did the WCW/ECW merger thing. There were tons of ECW chants in the Philips Arena lobby. Funny thing is, this group of little kids tried starting a WWE chant. It was really sad and put it all into perspective, I thought. Give those kids credit for having the foresight of knowing the WWF would have to change their name soon. I had just woken up. Can't a nigga get a break?

The following was posted by a friend of Bob Holly at the message board of Bob Holly's official website: Here's the latest on Bob's situation... --- The staph infection he got in the ring around August of last year turned into MSRA , they thought they had cured it, but when he had surgery on his right elbow in February it came back full force landing him back in the hospital in March. Everything seemed to be going ok until around the 7th or 8th of April when he came down with what we thought was a bad case of the flu (fever, chills, and then his arm began to swell). We went back to the doctor and he was admitted directly to the hospital that night and emergency surgery was scheduled the next morning. We stayed in the hospital until they put a PIC line in and got the results of the cultures back from surgery showing it was indeed still the MSRA which had gotten into his blood and also embedded his elbow joint. Unfortunately the only antibiotic that will probably get rid of it once and for all has to be administered by IV once every 12 hours for about the next 6 weeks. He has been on and off antibiotics since September of last year fighting this infection when he first got it, which really created a super strain infection resistant to everything they have given him. Now we are fighting along with that damage to other organs probably caused from such strong meds. They are monitoring him closely here at home, taking blood every other day now, delivering the medication to us daily, and at least trying to let him be here instead of at the hospital. The results on Friday were a little scary and they started him on an additional medication because his platelet level and potassium level were very high. Hopefully things will start to turn around and they will get this all out of his system without any long term damage to his kidneys. --- We encourage all Bob Holly fans to support Bob in this tough time! Any cards or anything from fans to cheer him up would be great! He is so ready to be back in the ring and all of this is very disheartening. He is a fighter and wants to be back to the ring and like I said we encourage you to drop Bob a note. The website (www.bobhollyacademy.com) has the address! Thanks everyone! ============= S_D Note: I think someone's timeline is off here. Hardcore Holly wrestled Ken Kennedy at the No Mercy PPV in October 2005, but maybe he was working with it then and didn't know it. Who knows.

People are still mindful about his very real beating of Matt Cappotelli on Tough Enough 3. I don't think it's necessarily a wrestling thing. I think it's a thing where people have no remorse about a guy who legitimately beat the shit out of a kid who was only guilty of wanting to become a wrestler. Wrestling is only a technicality on the Bob Holly hate. He has a history of taking advantage of greenhorns and beating the fuck out of them because they know they won't fight back. I think that's what it is.
