Jannetty's return earlier in the year was awesome. I was at the event live in "Atlanta" (it was really in Duluth, but WWE says Atlanta). I had no idea Jannetty was going to be there. Not only did I get the awesome visual of Michaels & Jannetty on-screen together again, they actually did a Rockers reunion. That was easily the highlight of the year for me.

Tim White spoiler - I know you can't wait to know.

People with the huge C-Band satellites can intercept the Smackdown live feeds from Tuesday night. Some of these people cap them and can put them online. That's how the Mark Henry footage got on the net too. -
Wow, that was awful. Did you hear how quiet the crowd got?

Most forgettable stint in a promotion

Doesn't really count as a "run" I guess, but does anybody remember Doug Furnas & Phil LaFon's cup of coffee as members of the Hart Foundation in late-1997? -
I never understood why they renamed the "Liontamer" to the "Walls of Jericho", yet kept calling Jericho's quebrada the "Lionsault". 2 Cold Scorpio's 450 was never called the "Diss That Don't Miss" in WCW. Johnny B. Badd's left hook was called the "Kiss That Don't Miss". Perhaps you're thinking of that. I also could have swore that "Papoose To Go" was just a Heenan-ism for the move and wasn't the actual name. Kind of like how Tito Santana's flying forearm was the "Flying Jalapeno".

Edge totally should have cashed in his MitB contract after Batista beat HHH in the HiaC.

Lawler and Carter started dating when she was 19. Check out her "profile" on ObsessedWithWrestling.com: http://www.obsessedwithwrestling.com/profiles/k/kat.html And for the record, she's 34 now. Her DOB is September 29th, 1971.

Clarence Mason's name in WCW was Jay Biggs.

According to Dave Meltzer, Matt's being jobbed out because he got into a backstage scuffle with The Undertaker at Survivor Series. Matt refused to take a chokeslam in the show-ending angle, where UT took out a bunch of Smackdown's mid-carders. Taker confronted Matt about it. Matt claimed that participating would have killed his momentum, and Taker claimed Matt had no respect for the veterans.

Kind of reminds me of that stockholders conference call where Linda McMahon blamed Smackdown's sagging ratings in 2001 on internet spoilers, and someone informed her that WWF.Com gave away very detailed text and video spoilers complete with pictures of what was going to be seen. The next week, WWF.Com's spoilers suddenly vanished and never returned. Speaking of Money In The Bank, if the plans are for HHH vs. Cena and Batista vs. Orton... ...what the hell is Edge going to do with his title shot?

Watching all this Sunny stuff is depressing. She was the hottest woman in the world back in those days, and now she looks absolutely awful. Anyone notice Bret slapping Jarrett's ass after he got the 3-count on the reverse rollup? I thought that was funny. And how about the video description ripping on Raven, implying that he had more success in wrestling as Johnny Polo? That was pretty below the belt. Oh Sunny, how I lost gallons of sperm to your image and now would consider it robbery if it happened today.

Former TNA star Trinity is sitting in the front row at Raw, along with a hot blonde woman. Fans have recognized them and have been taking pictures with them during the pre-Raw time period. They are dressed provocatively and appear to be a part of tonight's show.

It could be Charlie Haas.

Nathan Jones: In February 2004, Nathan and the Smackdown superstars travelled to Nathan's home country of Australia for some shows. Apparently, the plane ride was very, very unstable. Nathan absolutely freaked out, quit WWE, and stayed in Australia. The Bashams: After splitting from JBL's Cabinet in early-2005, the team was split up due to Danny Basham being involved in a massive trade that sent Danny, Mark Jindrak, Rene Dupree, Kenzo Suzuki, Hiroko, & Chavo Guerrero to Raw and William Regal, Simon Dean, Stevie Richards, Sylvan Grenier, & Candice Michelle to Smackdown. Doug has been floundering around on Velocity doing nothing, while Danny has barely been seen post-trade. Goldberg: For all extents and purposes, Goldberg is done with wrestling. Goldberg speaks very negatively about his WWE run, and says things were even more screwed up there than WCW. Goldberg said he would come back in the right situation. Bull Buchanan: Bull can be found wrestling for All Japan Pro Wrestling. Spike Dudley: Spike is wrestling on the independent scene under his real name, Matt Hyson, since WWE claimed ownership to his name after he was not picked up when his contract expired in July 2005. Chyna: Chyna has seen a very tumultuous life since she wasn't offered a new contract by WWE in May 2001. Chyna is often viewed as the first victim of the WCW purchase, since Chyna was asking for a bigger salary and there was nowhere else to go. Chyna's life had freefallen into a world of drugs and all-out insanity, which saw the release of a very explicit sex tape featuring herself and Sean "X-Pac" Waltman. Chyna recently has gone through rehab, and has finally admitted that she would like to go back to WWE at some point. X-Pac: Ever since Vince McMahon & Triple H split the tab on X-Pac's early-2005 trip to rehab, it was expected he would return to WWE but that has not been the case. He has been in-and-out with TNA, and according to Dave Meltzer, always shows up to their Orlando tapings looking for work. He has been in the company dog house since no-showing a PPV in which he would have participated in the finals of a tag team tournament to honor Chris Candido and he was verbally ripped apart on the air. Ken Shamrock: Ken has been out of WWE since September 1999, in which he suffered a neck injury during an angle with Chris Jericho in which he was hit with a hockey stick. Instead of returning to WWE, Ken returned to the MMA world. He was backstage at WrestleMania X8 in 2002 and conferred with Vince McMahon about returning at some point down the line. 3 months later in June 2002, Ken was involved with the debut show of Total Nonstop Action (TNA) and became the first NWA World Champion of the TNA era. It is expected that Shamrock will return to WWE once he has completely retired from MMA.

When Billy Gunn came back from the rotator cuff injury in late-2000, Gunn was MASSIVELY over. I mean, this guy was sometimes getting the biggest pops of the show and WWE did NOTHING with him. I don't like Billy Gunn at all, but Jesus, when the crowd responds to something so huge, shouldn't you push him? After Gunn lost the IC Title to Chris Benoit, he just floundered around on Heat & Jakked/Metal until he bitched out Edge the night after KotR 2001. Gunn's got a right to be bitter.

At the 51:08 minute mark on last night's edition of Byte This, a caller, at the end of his call, said "TNA is better than WWE." Todd Grisham responded, "Then why are you calling our show, retard? Call TNA's show ... if they have one ... which I doubt. I think it airs, uh, Sunday night ... at 4am ... in Japan." This caller totally caught Todd off track and he freaked out big time. Go watch. It wasn't edited out of the archived version. EDIT: It's edited now. A commercial advertising the Melina/Batista angle is in its place.

This was taken from PWTorch.com and sent in by a man named Gary Say: Before tonight's Smackdown house show in Jamestown, NY, Randy Orton got into a confrontation with a fan. The fan was trash talking Orton about going AWOL during his days in the military. Orton then mouthed, "Fuck the military" and then proceeded to come over to where the fan was. This then brought over the head of security which was the Stone Cold look alike I am sure you all have seen before. Orton proceeded to call the fan a "cunt" and dared the fan to come closer. The fan was on a business owner's property when all of this went down. Randy tried and tried to get the fan to come off of the property and the fan would not give Randy the pleasure. Orton asked the fan why he wouldn't come over and face him. The fan knew enough that Orton was acting like an ass and was trying to start a fight. Orton finally grabbed his gear and went inside. Then in another act of severe unprofessionalism, the Stone Cold look alike security guy for WWE came over and proceeded for no reason to call all of us standing in front of the business "assholes" and "fuckers," and told us to go to hell and then flipped us the bird. The WWE security guy before even said he wanted the fan to move closer so Randy could bitchslap him and that he wouldn't see a thing and wouldn't do a thing when Randy would beat on him. Some sense of professionalism from Randy and the WWE security guy isn't it? I know all of this went down, because I was standing right next to the fan.

That was awesome watching Jushin Thunder Lyger wrestle without being able to use the top rope.

Do we really need a thread for this?

How exactly was ECW One Night Stand a disappointment? It was probably the best PPV of the year because it was a WRESTLING SHOW and not a retarded wrestling/entertainment hybrid and reminded me why I was a wrestling fan, a feeling that RAW the next night promptly killed again.

Sting's 2 hour title run and Sid Vicious' streak was in 1999, not 2000.

I forgot about that crazy wench who ran Paul London's website.

Yes, a torn leg.

Because WWE doesn't let people actually cut promos anymore. They make them memorize their lame ass scripts.
