Vince wanted to buy the movie and market it as his own or something. When the director, Barry Blaustein, wouldn't budge, Vince requested USA Network to show no TV spots for the movie. And in an odd twist of fate, WCW actually ended up promoting the movie on their telecasts because Terry Funk, someone they were pushing at the time, was in it after WCW refused to be a part of the movie.

Rob Feinstein is a child-fucking faggot. Carry on.

I remember once when WWE was taking a look at him, Stephanie McMahon told him to cut his hair and shave because he looked too much like Triple H. For real.

Nova invented the thong.

I hate topics like this.

-- Hooters, which at many locations nationally had been airing WWE PPVs, has made a decision to not carry the WWE events any more. A manager at Pat McNeill's local Hooters said it was a national decision made from the corporate heads. For Torch Newsletter readers, that means the end of McNeill's "At the Bar for the PPV" columns unless another establishment picks up where Hooters left off. credit: PWTorch ========== I can confirm this. When we went to watch New Year's Revolution, the manager told us that the corporate office decided not to renew their contract. So, we had to call chip in cash to order it at my house. A sad day, indeed.

8.1 MB, for those wondering.

Hassan and Daivari should travel with Batista.

Dave Scherer reported on the PWInsider Elite hotline today that WWE was considering bringing in Super Crazy next month in an effort to expand the cruiserweight division (and probably have another name for the ECW PPV in June).

Erik Watts better be glad he's not still in ECW.

"New Jack announced at the IWA Mid South show in Highland, IN that he had signed a contract with WWE. Based on what we've been told, I would be highly skeptical of that being the case at this point." -- Dave Meltzer

I can't wait until New Jack meets up with The Dudleys.
-
You've got to admit. The old Razor Ramon t-shirt was pimp.
-
I loved how the original nWo shirt for WCW had no copyright notice anywhere.

Meltzer said to add about .5 to Smackdown's score and you have a basic cable rating translation. Smackdown got a 3.7, so add 0.5 to that, and it would have scored a 4.2 on basic cable. Scary.

One of the super dual-brand house shows in Alaska has The Undertaker & Kane vs. Heidenreich & Gene Snitsky, so I'd expect that to be slapped into Mania.
-
I'm sure the local Hooters here in Macon, GA is reeling. They told me their best nights of business was PPV wrestling nights.
-
That would be a horrible idea. I remember the days of Smackdown only have the Tag Titles, and they were horrible. Tag matches didn't have a meaning on RAW. It's not like they were working for a goal.
-
I only remember this match for Eddie's monster blade job and JBL sucking wind after 10 minutes. Match of the Year? My left nut.
-
Um, I thought this was supposed to be the combined RAW and Smackdown taping? February 7th is a Monday.
-
They also told Rikishi he'd be back once the heat on him died down as long as he didn't go to TNA.

I saw Masters wrestle a house show match against Val Venis a few months ago. He was pretty bland. He used a full nelson falldown slam for his finisher (which was stupid considering he worked Venis' leg the whole match). Generic hoss #13. Move along, nothing to see here.

Scott Hall was more-or-less fired for falling asleep backstage during the Insurrexion 2002 UK PPV. All credible accounts say that Hall was not a part of the Plane Ride from Hell and was asleep the whole time. As for X-Pac, once the nWo angle was killed due to Kevin Nash tearing his quad, X-Pac decided that instead of waiting however so many months for creative to find something else for him to do, that he wanted out of his contract instead to be able to keep working.
-
According to who? Michael Hayes is still very much a part of WWE. He was recently shifted over to RAW to help with creative.

New Jack used to rip on the Dudleys for "stealing his look" (camo pants) and for having a dropping bomb in the beginning of their music when they went to the WWF.
