    Are We There Yet?

How appropriate. This is the name of Ice Cube's latest shitty movie.

    WWE House Show

I went to a RAW house show the night before Armageddon, and Muhammad Hassan wrestled Tajiri, and someone had a sign in the crowd that said "Check Their Bags" and Hassan & Khosrow Daivari pointed at it all during the match and yelled. You can bring a sign as long as its: 1) witty 2) close to the ring 3) easily visible

    Sandman turns down WWE

There is no way they could run the PPV from the ECW Arena. Watch the ECW DVD, they said they were pumping so much power through it during Barely Legal that a transformer busted 10 seconds after the PPV went off the air. And if ECW was pumping that much power, image what WWE would throw out. A good idea for Johnny Grunge would be to team him up with New Jack. That would be a pretty awesome ECW nostalgia dream team.

    RAW Ratings

I usually can't stand Coach on commentary but did anyone else feel that the show had a completely different feel/fresh feel to it when he was doing play by play by himself? I don't know if it's because it had been so long since I've heard a one man commentary, probably since Joey Styles, oh yeah, once when Tazz had to go solo due to Michael Cole running away from Heidenreich. I think one of my main problems with Raw right now, besides HHH and a poor creative team, is that the show needs freshened up and that includes disbanding JR and the King on commentary. At the very least, get Austin or someone in there as a third commentator. I'd like to see JR in a President of WWE camera role and Lawler could either host Kings Court or be a backstage interviewer. Put them together on PPV's from time to time perhaps. 3-man commentary teams are death. See: WCW 2000.

    RAW Ratings

You people really, really go overboard on the paranoia about Chris Benoit. Some of you forget about the fact that HHH was his bitch for ALL of 2004 just because he puts over Batista. Jeez, chill out. He's got to lose once and a while. It seems like you want Benoit to do the very thing you hate about HHH (always winning).

    NYR Webcast Matches

Actually, the leg break was not seen on the initial broadcast. It happened when the cameras cut to Ric Flair ushering in the limo with the mystery opponent in it. No fans even knew Sid broke his leg until the WCW Live! post-PPV show. Odds are, the original PPV airing is what they are showing and the leg-break is nowhere in it.

    Batista over Benoit

When are you people going to learn to not set off Rudo and his over-sensationalist views?

    Paul Heyman Released

KingLawler.com used to have a picture of Gerwitz holding The Kat's dog (the same one Dean Malenko ate!) back before the "Kat Kam" section of the website was removed following their split. Gerwitz looked like a little kid in the thumbnail version of the picture.

    Paul Heyman Released

1W is about as credible as a news source as WrestleZone these days.

    Paul Heyman Released

I can't find this anywhere on 1Wrestling. Is this a case of "Bret Hart To Lead The WCW Invasion...(added to headline 30 minutes later)...?"

Actually, it's not. Way to embarass yourself.

OAO Smackdown Night Of Champs Thread

Has anyone noticed that RVD's singlet says "I'm Over"? Heh.
  16. Well, sooner or later WWE's going to run out of ideas to cut costs. In the latest observer it is mentioned that the only reason why they are donig two tapings in one night is because there is a tour in the far east that week and due to flight conflicts, having only one taping was the only way to have a new edition of Smackdown That is obviously another reasonable explanation for the taping schedule change too. I’m just going off what was said to me. You mean what you read off of Wrestlezone?

    What's the WWF?

    What Happened to A-train?

Too bad I wasn't here to stick up for my man. He was a great hoss. Who else was fired last month? Billy Gunn Test Rico Johnny Stamboli Jazz Nidia Gail Kim Chuck Palumbo Linda Miles

    What Happened to A-train?

All Japan will take any trash from American wrestling. Kronic won their tag titles on their debut night. Bull Buchanan is one of their main eventers. (F)A-Train will fit in nicely.

    What Happened to A-train?

He was part of the mass firing in November and we all rejoiced.

    Brock Calls Vince

This may seem odd on my part, but while I would prefer it he didn't return for a long while, I actually did enjoy Brock Lesnar's work. Yeah, yeah, "what's the problem then?" It's my preference as a wrestling fan to see wrestlers on top who are passionate about what they are doing. Brock's return would knock many people down a notch on the ladder who are not only more talented than him, but deserve it more. As for whoever said that the wrestling business is naturally corrupt, I tend to agree with you. But my feelings towards Brock's actions aren't rooted in what he did to WWE or Vince McMahon, it's to the people in the business who actually aren't complete scumbags. I'm talking those select few that have given their bodies for the business simply to entertain us who don't get much in return, while watching hosses like Lesnar earn millions of dollars in a year and walking out within a blink of an eye. Plus it's kind of like how most of the shit that goes down in the business happens within the family, but Lesnar's actions weren't. Oh well, I understand where both the pro-Brock and anti-Brock people are coming from. I must say, though I popped in the last Smackdown game after a long while and Lesnar is the best wrestler to use by far. And the F5 rules. Hmm, maybe I wouldn't mind a return if only it meant a return to the next PS2 game. If it knocks JBL down the ladder, I'm all for it.

What was the one angle the WWE screwed up?

Orton leaving Evolution. Biggest screw-up of 2004 by far. But, it looks like they're about to atone for their mess-up with the turn of Batista.
  24. A barbed wire cage match is apparently coming to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2005, according to promotional material released by PPV distributor In Demand for the 2/20/05 No Way Out PPV in Pittsburgh, PA. The blurb reads as follows: Conflict has a new battleground in the first ever barbed wire steel cage match. There's no place to run. There's no way out. SmackDown presents WWE’s No Way Out, Sunday, February 20th, live at 8pmET/5pmPT on Events iN DEMAND pay-per-view. This would be the first time there is an advertised barbed wire match of any kind in WWE history, although Mick Foley and Terry Funk pitched doing a no ropes exploding barbed wire match at Wrestlemania 14, via satellite from Funk's Double Cross Ranch in Amarillo, Texas. The idea was later tossed out when WWF hired Mike Tyson to appear in the main event of the PPV. Foley would eventually use a barbed wire bat in several matches during feuds with Triple H and Randy Orton. What makes this most interesting is the location of the PPV in the State of Pennsylvania as the State Athletic Commission there had banned the use of barbed wire (as well as light tubes) for professional wrestling events during the latter end of 2002 during the Philadelphia independent wars, feeling things were getting too violent and were going to become a health hazard for both the wrestlers and the fans. The decision was made following a no ropes barbed wire I Quit match promoted by Combat Zone Wrestling at the ECW Arena featuring John Zandig vs. The Wifebeater in November 2002. It will be interesting to see if WWE is forced to adhere to the same series of rules that independent wrestling promotions are all made to work under within the confines of the State of Pennsylvania. credit: Mike Johnson/PWInsider Note from S_D: According to Meltzer, it's scheduled to be JBL vs. Big Show in this match, and it was suggested by Paul Heyman before he got removed from the creative team.
  25. Scott Pearson and Terry Nordenstrom set word that in today's Minneapolis Tribune, Sid Hartman wrote the following: "Friends of former Gophers and pro wrestler Brock Lesnar say he is ready to make a comeback." Hartman didn't say what Lesnar wanted to come back to, but since he only left wrestling, that would be the only thing that made sense. With The Royal Rumble and WrestleMania around the corner, it would actually make perfect sense. To read the story, click here. credit: Dave Scherer/PWInsider/Minneapolis Tribune
