    Vince's wrestlemania announcement

Shawn Michaels was out of the spotlight for 4 years and his return produced a huge buy rate for SummerSlam 2002.

Cross & Rave Return to PPV

I was happy to hear of Jason's return to wrestling. I know Jason and his little brother in real life (we all went to the same high school) and I was saddened when Jason said he may have to quit wrestling due to his injury. It thrills me to see him back.

    New Shopzone shirts

For the blind: "Don't you wish you were me" is on Jericho's shirt.

    CHRIS JERICHO WAS RIGHT !!!!

    Wow, what a stupid post.

    Brutus Beefcake bust

A fare collector on a Boston subway. Pretty good for a guy who once main-evented Starrcade, I'd say. And have you seen any pictures of him lately? He's got to be at least 350 pounds. He's could double as A-Train's bodyhairless twin.
  8. QuestionMan

    Brand split

It won't end. This will probably become a yearly thing for Mania, with cross-brand matches.
  9. QuestionMan

    Who's this boxer with Rey?

Paez looks like a retard. Possibly an aborted baby that made it. Or someone with MS. Either way, I can't help but laugh at what a retard he looks like. He probably gnaws on his wrist in his spare time.

    Ernest Miller Released

Ernest "The Cat" Miller has been released from his contract by World Wrestling Entertainment. http://www.wwe.com/news/headlines/1254738 It's official now.

    Ernest Miller Released

As of 3:03pm on 2/12/04, Ernest Miller's bio still appears on Smackdown's website while Kanyon's has been removed.
  12. QuestionMan

    Ernest Miller Released

According to Meltzer, they signed him to a 3-year contract at the end of November 2003.
  13. QuestionMan

    Kanyon released

I still say when Kanyon came back from his severe shoulder injury around February 2003, they should have had him come back thinking the InVasion was still going on. That = gold. ...And yet, A-Train still has a job.

    Pictures of Taker

Remember when Billy Gunn wore those idiotic hair extensions at Vengeance 2003?
  15. QuestionMan

    Pictures of Taker

Yeah, he was starting to turn redneck about 2 months before he left for that long stretch. He was starting to cut promos with that southern drawl and started telling stories about riding motorcycles in deserts or something. Another thing I'm surprised no one has picked up on is his skin. UT is still looking pretty tanned, and I don't recall Deadman UT ever having any semblance of a tan. In fact, he was always quite pale.

    Lesnar Frustrated; Nowinski Getting Heat

According to Meltzer, NOAH wanted Angle and Lesnar to come in and job to their guys for a very hefty payday, which WWE wasn't took keen on. PRIDE also wanted Angle and Lesnar for shootfights.

    Rico

Yeah, they had to bring in Dustin's wife Terri and dress her up as Marlena to kill the "He's gay" stigma and explained it as psychology.

    Story Behind Orton Going AWOL

Ok, can we not turn this into a political flamewar please? Randy Orton flamewars are bad enough.
  19. QuestionMan

So What Did You Think Of The Contract Singing?

lol, I love how everyone here is completely ignoring the fact that Benoit just beat Flair clean (via submission no less) and accusing them of burying Benoit because of one little promo. Grow up.

    (International?) Heat Matches

He's right. I went to a Monday Night RAW in February 1995 and there was about a 20:5 ratio of jobber matches to non-jobber matches. One of the non-jobber matches was Jeff Jarrett vs. Diesel for the WWF Title, so that didn't help matters. We got a great Shawn Michaels vs. British Bulldog match and the last match of the show was a great Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart Submission Match, but still, sitting through 4 hours of an event that is 90% jobber matches was easily worse than this. Oh yeah, we also had to sit through a 15-minute angle (a novelty at the time) of The King's Court with Jerry Lawler with Shawn Michaels introducing Sid as his new bodyguard.
  21. I have a friend of mine that went to the Smackdown house show in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, that related to me some shocking and disheartening news on how he was treated by Eddie Guerrero. After the show was over, my friend spotted Eddie and asked him if he could sign something for his cousin, whom is a huge fan of his. Eddie just ignored him so my friend tried to get his attention again thinking Eddie didn't hear him, and Eddie totally exploded on him, saying, "Get the fuck away from me, asshole." My friend said he just gave him a funny look and shook his head as Eddie power-walked off. If this news about Eddie's attitude is true, then I'm very disappointed in his behavior, especially from one that claims to be a full-fledged Christian in his real life. It's one thing to say no to a fan or to be having a bad night, but it's another to use such obscene language to a fan innocently asking for an autograph.
  22. QuestionMan

    Disheartening news about Eddie Guerrero

No, someone was disputing that he said Eddie's name 15 times. I was stating that he said his name twice because that was the issue. I don't understand why everyone is insisting that this has to absolutely be false and that I'm a lying asshole. I mean, you're making me out to be some kind of jackass when all I'm doing is telling you what I was told. Don't kill the messenger please.
  23. QuestionMan

    Bret Hart considering returning !!

You know, I always thought it was fishy that Bret Hart didn't officially announce his retirement until a week or two after he was released from his WCW contract in October 2000. He looked pretty healthy at New Blood Rising.
  24. QuestionMan

    Disheartening news about Eddie Guerrero

We had pictures with Orton. And he doesn't have 1/1000 of the talent ot heat or skill of Eddie, so of course Eddie gets the BotD. Fair or not, (probably not) we're willing to give the talented people more leeway And by all accounts Jindrak did more then ask him for an autograph. What did he supposedly do? I don't recall precisely, but I think it was because Jindrak was angry at some spots in the Evolution/Team MaveKick six man match earlier that night? That'd be my best guess. and you do realize the whole fucking thing was a joke from those two... ONCE AGAIN a case of IWC over reacting to bullshit. Seriously, The IWC is so fucking fickle and gullible No, in this case the two of them starting a fight in a restaurant to work us is a case of backtracking... or an incredible immaturity on their part. There were police present at the restaurant if I remember correctly. Yeah....to play along in the joke. Didn't Orton even admit on a radio show or something that the whole thing was a prank? I wish I could live in a city where police have nothing better to do then particpate in pranks to rib the IWC. In one of the pictures, you could clearly see one of the policeman beside Orton with a laughing smile on his face. Yeah, but that's probobly because of the insanely rediculous outfits Orton and Jindrak were wearing and because both of them looked drunk out of their minds. And because they get to tell their kids they met wrestlers tonight. Yeah, that is true. They looked like supreme dorks that night.
