This is why I hated that they axed King of the Ring immediately after coming up with the great idea of having the winner face the WWF champion at Summerslam. That way, you could elevate a mid-carder by having him win something just as important and not have to put him in the main event of WM.

Calling this an exodus is stretching it...it's just two mid-carders.

Those people were not just in shock of Nash winning. Unless the definition of "shock" is jumping up and down with your arms in the air. -

Well, I just watched the end of Nash vs. Goldberg from Starrcade '98 on YouTube and it does seem that the crowd is popping like bonkers mad when Nash beats Goldberg. -

Then that means the majority of the crowd cheered Goldberg. -
The cage isn't really meant to keep people in, which is why it doesn't have a top. It's meant to keep other people out.

I assumed the "minder" was meant to be the one who WWE sends to monitor the interviews to make sure nothing they don't want talked about is talked about. -

How exactly is War Games hard to understand? Two teams of either four or five people. Two men start. Coin toss to determine which team sends the next guy in. The match can't end until everyone is in the ring. Once everyone is in, "it's submit or surrender". Must be a lot of retards at WWE Magazine. -

Kids at wrestling events are the most vulgar demographic I've ever encountered. I've been to shows in Rochester, Buffalo, Cleveland, and Youngstown and it's the same everywhere. If I have kids, it makes me want to keep them away from wrestling. I totally believe it. I was at the Georgia Dome Nitro in July 1999 when Bret Hart came out and did the speech about Owen Hart. There was this kid a few rows back making jokes about Owen dying and the fat ass rednecks that likely brought him to the event were laughing their jumbo asses off. If I had been a little bit older (I was 15 at the time), I probably would have made a scene about it. Maybe the kid didn't understand death or that Owen was really dead, but it was really disconcerting to hear such a small kid say such offensive things. -

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

The Associated Press reports that both sides of Chris Benoit's family have reached a verbal agreement to settle the estate, rather than pursue legal remedies in court. Chris and Nancy's sides of the family have wrangled over legal entitlement to the Benoit estate over the past few months, with upwards of $600,000 being spent to settle entitlement. The settlement is expected to read that half of the estate will go Chris's two remaining children from his previous marriage. The other half will go to Nancy's family. Regarding the settlement, Michael Benoit said, "In principle, it's there. It just needs to be documented." When asked whether Nancy's side, the Toffolonis, deserve a portion, Michael said they should receive compensation. "They've lost their daughter and lost their grandson," he said. "I definitely feel there should be compensation for them. I've definitely thought that from the beginning." The attorney to the Toffolonis, Rick Decker, said they're trying to find a common ground on both sides. Michael said he didn't understand why they needed to spend $600,000 to reach an agreement, but Decker said, "If we have to litigate, we will. But we're working to avoid that if we can." -

I'm going to avoid the pictures online, much like I did with Sable, Chyna, Torrie, and Torrie/Sable and get my first view in the magazine itself. -
Damn, baldness hit Festus early if he's really 24. Wouldn't that mean he was only 22-23 during the whole Fake Kane bit?

Warrior was only able to sue them for it because as part of the 2000 ruling of the lawsuit over who owns the "Ultimate Warrior" name (which Warrior won), the judge ruled that both sides could not disparage the other in public. Warrior viewed the DVD as a violation of the ruling and the case has gone to court because it's a legit claim. Savage wouldn't be able to do anything if this is indeed an anti-Savage DVD. -

WWE Hall of Famer, Afa of the Wild Samoans, has been selected to train Mickey Rourke in preparation of his lead role in the upcoming film "The Wrestler". Nicholas Cage was originally slated for the role, and even attended a recent Ring of Honor show to research the role. He backed out very shortly after the RoH show and Rourke was signed on to replace him. -
