WWE General Discussion for August 2007

KING BOOKER SAYS HE'LL QUIT WWE OVER BEING MOVED TO ECW In a recent interview to promote a show in Akron, Ohio, King Booker said that if he would have been drafted to ECW he would have quit the company. He said that being drafted to RAW was a great thing. Booker also said that he will never wrestle under Booker T again as he feels the King Booker name has really taken off and helped him get to the top.

I've heard gay people (the really flaming ones) refer to themselves as fags.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

Since she's not getting paid, does that mean she's just a slut? Well, except when they were working on the same shows together. Yeah, I stand corrected. I got my years mixed up. Turns out Debra and Brian Adams were in WCW at the same time in 97-98 before Debra jumped to the WWF. Also for the one week that Kronic got brought into the InVasion before they were sent home immediately.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

As long as Debra keeps whoring herself out to the media, they won't. Debra most likely never met Brian Adams in her life. She's just being an attention whore. Nothing to see there.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

They were covering Crush on CNN last night. The headline was "Another Pro Wrestler Found Dead!"
  6. WWE.com is reporting that during a standard Wellness policy physical, an abnormal accessory pathway to the heart (Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome) was discovered in US Champion, MVP. It is a potentially life threatening condition that could lead to a heart attack if untreated. He will be able to continue wrestling because according to WWE.com, MVP "underwent a precarious radio frequency treatment this past Monday – a procedure that is equally dangerous in that one in 1,000 individuals die during it. Next week, tests will be performed again to see if the procedure was a success." WWE.com says that the testing took place at the Great American Bash. The body of the story is written to explain how The Wellness Policy caught this condition early. A cynic might say that mentioning the Bash and the benefits of the policy are a calculated move by WWE. A cynic may be right, but you also can't deny that the policy did what people want it to do either.

    Brian "Crush" Adams found dead

I think that 'honor' probably goes to Scott Norton or Stevie Ray, who were getting around $800,000 per year. Perhaps, I don't remember exactly what he made, but I remember they paid him a boatload of money to "steal" him from the WWF, even though Vince no longer wanted him, he had never drawn, and showed no signs of being worth shit. That's not what happened at all. Brian Adams quit the WWF because he was pissed off that Kane injured him during a Tombstone. Everyone was real sensitive about that considering what had just happened to Steve Austin. Scott Norton, Rick Steiner, Stevie Ray, and Booker T. were all making 7 figures in WCW when it closed.

Man, age really caught up to Flair since coming back to the WWF/E. He looked great in that video. His hair was still fluffed and full.

    Brian "Crush" Adams found dead

He definitely wasn't my choice in the who-dies-next pool. I was related to him as a distant cousin, but never met him. Still sad.

The only reason Flair could do any of that is because the guy running WCW at the time, Jim Herd, refused to return his $25,000 deposit on the belt. So, it was really WCW's fault all that happened. It's not like Flair refused to give the belt back or just shockingly appeared on WWF TV a week after he'd been on WCW TV, like the case of Madusa and the feared case of Bret Hart. Flair was fired from WCW in July 1991 and the belt didn't start showing up on WWF TV until a month later. WCW had a full month to give Flair his money back, and didn't. I do believe the belt first appeared at SummerSlam 1991 with Bobby Heenan holding it backstage. WCW did get a court-order for the WWF to stop showing the belt, which explains why it had to be censored. Flair started running around with a WWF Tag Title belt instead shortly after, but since it was covered heavily by mosaics, it didn't much matter. Flair finally got his $25,000 back in July 1992 and the belt was immediately returned to WCW. Flair was going to the WWF regardless and it just so happened he had ownership of the belt. The situation just fell into Vince's hands. And honestly, in that situation, Vince would have been stupid not to parade the rival company's belt on TV when it was their own stubbornness that let it happen.

WWE WOMEN'S CHAMPION APPEARING NUDE ALL MONTH WWE Women's champion Candice Michelle's nude appearance on Cinemax's Hotel Erotica is airing this month. It's available on demand as well. Michelle filmed the role prior to her WWE run.
  15. (I know it's early, but WWE is pimping this all over the website, so I thought it was a big enough deal to go on and start speculating. Still feel free to lock it you feel it's too early.) ----- Mr. McMahon Strikes Back! This Monday night, live on Raw, Mr. McMahon strikes back. Find out what this means by tuning in to Raw at 9/8 CT on USA Network. When Raw went off the air last week, an infuriated WWE Champion John Cena was wiping apple and spit off his face and staring lasers into Carlito, who thanks to Randy Orton, got a pinfall victory over The Champ. The Caribbean Superstar, who had argued that he deserved to be the No. 1 contender to the WWE Championship, now seems to have further ammunition to his claim. But, will he have to feel the wrath of Cena, who could look for revenge for his humiliating defeat? Will Cena have something in mind for Orton, who has taken pleasure in sending messages to the champion in the weeks before their SummerSlam showdown? Last week, Orton added another legend to his casualty list when he took Sgt. Slaughter to boot camp and hospitalized him with a punt to his cranium. What is Sarge's medical update? And will yet another legend challenge Orton? Another Superstar who made a powerful statement was Mr. Kennedy, who also wants to be recognized as the No. 1 contender to the WWE Championship. Kennedy did the nearly-impossible – put Bobby Lashley on the sidelines with a shoulder injury. How much will the loudmouth from Green Bay, Wis., boast about his latest conquest? And what is Lashley's condition? You can find out the answers to these questions and more by tuning in to Raw on Monday night at 9/8 CT on USA Network.

oAo Monday Night Raw Thread -- 8/6/2007

The dating game thing had me rolling my eyes when it started, but then had me rolling on the floor immediately. Santino Marella had me cracking up as he gleefully introduced himself by saying "I am in lots of pain." That was just so far out of left field, it was hilarious. The fuckhead earlier who didn't like Maria can sit on a knife. Her dialogue with Marella was hilarious. Marella: "These men were talking about how they hated puppies and babies." Maria (distressed): "BUT I LOVE PUPPIES AND BABIES" That shit almost had me crying. And like I said earlier, as great of a wrestler he is, it's amazing how awesome Regal is in these types of segments. Usually the best technical wrestlers have zero personalities. For as good as Regal is in the ring, he's just as good, if not better, when he's doing a role on-screen. That's saying a lot. I generally hate these types of segments, but one was one in a million.

I think someone watched a lot of Kevin Smith movies this weekend. The dating game (Mallrats) and the whole dialogue about the summons (Clerks). Maybe John Cena will declare himself the K.L.I.T. Commander.

They really picked the right people for these things. All 5 people involved were great. For as great of a wrestler as he is, William Regal is so good in these types of segments, it's ridiculous.

Jeff Hardy suspended for 30 days

Jeff Hardy may be done with WWE. Hardy wasn't at RAW last night and there's concern within WWE that he won't be back for SummerSlam and that he might not be back at all. His program with Umaga was scrapped and Umaga was turned babyface on RAW. More details are coming. -- PWI

WWE General Discussion for August 2007

SANTINO MARELLA UPDATE Santino Marella was taken to the hospital after the show last night in Wheeling, WV for X-rays to his shoulder. No word yet on the results but it was possibly a bruised collarbone from being landed on in that spinning uranage move by Umaga.
